Anaheim Hills Speech and Language Center was formed to provide North Orange County with comprehensive Speech, Language and Oral Myofunctional Therapy services. Additional programs include: Social Skill Groups, FastForWord, Tomatis, Interactive Metronome, Dichotic Interaural Intensity Training (DIID); and Play Attention.

Katherine B.

Business Owner

Katherine established Anaheim Hills Speech and Language Center in 1987 to provide quality speech and language services in North Orange County. She graduated with honors, receiving a Master of Science Degree in Communicative Disorders from Chapman University where she now serves as a member of the Adjunct Faculty in the graduate department. Katherine has over 30 years of experience working in a variety of settings ranging from public schools (special education as well as general education), acute and rehabilitative hospitals, home health and private clinic. These experiences have solidified her love for diagnosing and treating a wide spectrum of communication disorders. Katherine encourages her staff of speech language professionals to follow her direction in viewing that speech and language therapy should be individualized, engaging, family centered and professionally provided.

My daughter Sophia just started with Taryn two weeks ago. It’s a night and day difference from her last speech place. She gets excited when we drive up to the office. I highly recommend Anaheim Hills speech! Also, they’re Physical therapist Emily is amazing! Super funny, sweet and kind! Thank you for making a difference in Sophia’s life.

I have been really impressed with the staff at this center. Kathryn gave us two free consults and advised us on what was normal and not and of what we could do at home to help. Since my daughter’s speech problems were on the borderline of normal for her age for awhile Kathryn had advised us to wait to get services. After 6 months we had another consult and were advised to wait another 6 months. We just recently started services as my daughter’s problems were not improving as she got older and my daughter LOVES going to speech. Miss Brie has a gentle way of working with her which does not call attention to her own difficulties, but helps her correct them in a fun, safe environment. I would definitely recommend this center!

We cannot express how happy we chose this center to help our 3 year old son with his speech. All the staff here have been very friendly, patient, and kind with our son, and the other children that are here. The facility is clean, well kept, and has a few toys for other siblings to play while waiting. They offer a tablet and headphones to watch and listen to your child being taught, which is really awesome. Parking can be a little limited at times, but the area is very nice and safe. We have noticed a significant improvement in our sons speech, and highly recommend this facility!

My wife has been going here for about a year for her speech aphasia. The staff is very friendly and professional, I’ve seen marked improvements over the time we’ve been here. They’ve also been a wonderful help with all the myriad insurance coverage issues. Highly recommended.

My son has been going to this speech center for eight years now (he is severely apraxic) and my daughter went for a short time as well. Katherine, the director, is so very professional in everything she does! Because of her knowledge, my son has made great progress. He was non-​verbal and used a device at four years old. Due to her help in navigating the school district and services, he is now about 88−90% intelligible. I appreciate everything she has done for both of my children.

We love Anaheim Hills Speech! Their staff is amazing and so nice! My son has been seeing Miss Jess for over a year now. And now he also sees a intren names Miss Megan they are both so nice and great at what they do! He wasn’t talking at all now he can say sentences! They have tablets you can veiw your child’s session while you cansit comfortably in the waiting room. They have toys and books in the waiting room to keep siblings busy. I’m so greatful we found this place! My son talks now! Thank you Miss Jess and the whole staff of AHSL! :)

My wife and I have our two boys receiving speech therapy. Our oldest is 4 years old and has been attending for about a year. He has made tremendous improvement in his ability to speak. The speech therapists he regularly sees are great. They are very patient and make the sessions fun. They also are very creative in teaching proper social setting speaking situations.
Our 19 month old has only been attending for 4 months. Although it’s been a short period we have seen great improvement in his ability to verbalize few words. Again the therapist he sees is very creative and make it fun.
Prior to Anaheim hills speech we had our oldest boy attend a different speech therapy location. It wasn’t flexible with scheduling and appeared too impersonal.
When you walk into Anaheim hills speech you are welcomed by a friendly receptionist. She will assist you with any schedule changes and tries her best to accommodate you.
The owner of Anaheim hills speech took the time to hear our concerns with our boys prior to starting their first session. She sincerely cares about the services every child receives.
Anaheim Hills Speech has developed a much greater confidence in our boys. We are very Thankful for the great work they do!!!

My daughter was referred by insurance. Even though it was only precautionary, our therapist is really working with all her issues and she loves it. She challenges her and still keeps her engaged. Only wished they had weekends!

My son is 20 months old and is speech delayed. While our insurance practically laughed at the notion of providing speech therapy (and he was declined for coverage), as his mom (having 3 older sons) I knew it was time to step in as early as possible. Mariah is Liam’s therapist and is fabulous. He was comfortable with her right away and in only a few short weeks I am seeing him make effort on his own. The staff is pleasant and helpful and making an appt is easy.

Staff are very friendly and helpful. Very professional and seem to be on touch with latest trends and technology. Price is a little expensive, but not to far off from other similar businesses. Speech therapists take time to talk to parents and update you on progress after every session. Very happy so far. Be coming here for almost 2 months now.
