Yes, the gas prices seem to be a little on the high side, but the service department is second to none and repair costs are more than fair. Sean has always been honest about which repairs need to be done and which can wait. I’ve had oil changes, flat tire fixes and some major engine work /​tune ups here and wouldn’t go anywhere else. They will even give you a ride home when you drop off your vehicle, if needed.

Pumps always work well here. Employees are very courteous. The mechanic is helpful. I have gotten my cars smogged here several times. I’ve never had anything but a good experience. I prefer this gas station to all others in Anaheim hills.

Consistently the highest gas prices in town. Not by just a little bit either. It’s like a matter of pride for this guy. I can envision him doing a happy dance singing we’re #1, we’re #1!
He has a pretty active service department but based on his greedy gas prices I wouldn’t dare ask him to change my oil.

Need windshield wipers they install them; Need to air up your tire they help;
need oil they put it in; need oil change they will do it; every time I come to get little things done for my car they are here. what to Thank you for the service;

I came to this gas station and sat in my car for about five minutes looking for my credit card. I had barely swiped my card in the machine and entered my zip code when a stranger ran next to me to stop me from filling up my gas. He asked me if I had pumped gas into my car yet and when he saw the screen he saw that nothing had been drawn yet. The screen said $ 20 had been used. The owner came out with the receipts and the patron and owner started yelling. Apparently what had happened was that the patron was using the pump in front of mine and the owner had foolishly charged the credit card and credited it to the wrong machine, thus allowing another patron to draw $ 20 worth of gas to fuel their car.
The owner began to yell at me and told me that I owed him $ 20! For what, exactly??? I told him I didn’t even pull the nozzle out of the machine yet and the patron said I had nothing to do with this. another car had used his $ 20 to get gas. The owner then kept saying that he was not responsible for the money that was taken out of the patron’s credit card and continued to yell about the $ 20 that was lost. The patron and I then tried to reason with him and said that the money was charged and another person had basically gotten free gas. The owner was older, around 60+ years old, but kept saying it wasn’t his fault or his problem and that he was not responsible for the loss of money and kept demanding for some sort of payment.
The patron told him to stop yelling at me because it was not my fault and I even tried to prove to him that I didn’t draw any gas from the machine by pulling the nozzle and trying to pump gas into my car. Nothing came out.
The owner have one last yell, «I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE!» and then walked back into his store.
DO NOT BUY GAS FROM THIS STATION. If an owner can foolishly charge your card to another machine and then have the nerve to yell at two people who had nothin to do with HIS mistake, then this is not a place to frequent. He would not own up to his faults and instead tried to blame ME just because I was there at the time. He did not apologize to myself nor the patron who had now lost $ 20 thanks to the stupidity of this owner and just grunted away like he had been the one robbed.
I strongly urge everyone to stay away from this gas station. It may be located in a convenient location but it is NOT worth the hassle of being charged and having that same problem happen to you. If I could give less than 1 star I would.

Ok first review on Unilocal because of a wonderful experience here! A little back story, my check engine light has been on for a while I went to Toyota dealership about a month ago they told me about $ 800 to fix it… I didn’t because I can afford that… So a couple weeks ago I stopped by Anaheim hills shell to get gas and figured I should check my oil, it was low, went in bought a quart of oil, I had surgery on my hand the week before so I asked Sean one of the mechanics there if he would help me put the oil in he said sure no problem he put down his tools and walked to my car at the pump I had my hood open he put the oil in and said u have no coolant in the reservoir… So he ran back in the shop grabbed some water and topped it off then was going to close my hood and said wait, there’s a hose disconnected, he asked me if I had a check engine light on and i explained what happened at the dealer he ssid that disconnected hose would turn my light on, he hooked it back up and said your light may go off in a couple days if that was the only problem then I asked him what I owed him for everything he did, he handed me his business card and said call me next time you need service!!! And guess what 2 days later no more check engine light! Thank you so much Sean!

Wait for it… I HAD A POSITIVE AUTO SHOP EXPERIENCE, It’s so rare for me I want to tell anyone who reads this. I ran over a nail. AAA comes out, replaces tire with the spare. I went on Unilocal to check out options that were close to me. First on the list was Anaheim Hills Shell. I’ve gassed it up several times there, but never thought of the auto shop portion. I called, and Sean answered. I explained my story, and at 3pm on a Friday, he told me to bring in it, and they would have me back at home in 30 mins. 3 mins later, I pulled in, and they appeared to be busy. Every position was filled with a car. Sean had me back in to where a car already was.
My tire was patched up, filled with air, and mounted back on the car. My spare was then placed back under the car. All other tires were topped off with the appropriate air level. The mechanic who worked on this was friendly and very professional. I told him I could come back, but he insisted it wouldn’t take him much time, and it didn’t. I can’t remember his name… I think it was Avila. I’m probably wrong, and for that I’m sorry. True to their word it took about 18 minutes. Here’s the kicker…$ 21.50. The speed and professionalism I received was worth that alone. Going forward, because of how they do business, I will be giving them my business. So refreshing!

This past summer, I received a car for my birthday: a 2004 Ford Taurus. It was rather nice, worked great, and most importantly, relatively cheap. I was very excited and drive this car whenever I have an opportunity to go anywhere.
Due to this constant usage however, my car gets a lot of miles on it pretty quickly. My dad taught me how to do little things to improve my car, such as checking the wiper fluid and how to check the oil and other items similar to that. When we checked my cars oil levels the other other day, however, I discovered that it was at an extremely low amount.
When I told my dad this, he told me to go to this gas station. It was probably one of the closest to my house, and he is a good friend of one of the gentlemen who works there by the name of Frank. He said that Frank was very helpful and knowledgeable about the subject.
When I got to the shell however, I learned that Frank was no longer employed there. I was caught off guard and a little disappointed, but the employee behind the counter helped me find where to go and who to talk to. A young man named Sean helped me with my oil, and he did a very good job.
How, my experience was not perfect. The service was seemed to be a little slow, due to the fact that they only had two people working on the cars at any time. Also, everything was a little overpriced. Overall however, I had a pretty good experience there and the next time I need work done on my car, I will be sure to go to there.

Just went there to get gas last night, as I had driven all the way through Orange/​AH and forgot to get gas. So this was the most convenient location when I realized I was about to run out! Found it easily on my iPhone map.
Much to my surprise, prices were at least 10 cents cheaper/​gallon than any of the name-​brand gas stations I had just driven past. Great neighborhood location, and I did not have to endure the rush-​hour traffic at Imperial/​91 to get there. That is a BIG plus!
The new pumps do have funky lights and voices — who cares! They work really fast, swiped my card easily and clearly visible screen prompts.
Also, in a nice shopping center with a Fresh N Easy and CVS. This will be a regular stop for me from now on, as I will not have to pass through heavy traffic on either side of the hills. Close to another shopping center in Anaheim Hills (Sta Ana Cyn & Imperial) that I frequent.

This review is only for the gas station, not the service station. I think this gas station has a monopoly on the area since there really isn’t another one in the area. As a result, gas is significantly more expensive here. Also, I am pretty sure this gas station closes early. And when it is open, the lighting isn’t great– in fact, I’d probably avoid coming here when it is dark, unless I was with someone else.

What gas station wraps a locked chain around the pumps??? Are you kidding me, the gas pumps are closed? What’s the point of pumps that take credit cards and are on while the gas station is closed??? There isn’t even an hours of operation sign in the window. Wanted to get a head start in the AM and have to drive to a different station for gas. What a waste! Oh and as a side note, it is 7am, late enough for a gas station to be open. Save your money and time, this is a waste of a place…

I recently had some work done on my car out of convenience, but I was really impressed with the service and honestly. I even price checked the work with my dealership and it was cheaper here by about $ 45.
I would have never considered getting service on my car here, but after my battery died in the parking lot, I decided to have them replace it. They were so nice and helpful, I went back again and I was not disappointed. This has become my go to place for car service.

I got lost in Anaheim and was in desperate need of gas. I somehow ended up in Anaheim Hills. I’m glad I found this gas station because its the only one around in that particular area. It’s just your average Shell, but it’s a little smaller than most.

I have had several of mine and my wife’s vehicles serviced and repaired at Anaheim Hills Shell.
I’ve ALWAYS received TOP-​NOTCH service, SEVERAL TIMES their techs repairing things that the dealer COULD NOT.
I consider myself extremely LUCKY to have a repair facility such as Anaheim Hills Shell in my neighborhood, as even though I own vehicles that are under ‘factory warranty’, I CHOOSE to pay for work that would normally be covered under warranty because at Anaheim Hills Shell, I KNOW the job will be done CORRECTLY-​FIRST TIME/​EVERY TIME.

First, I was going to rate this place a 4 star, but now I find out that Frank is no longer working there. I am rating this a 2 star, cuz my good experience with Shell was all due to Frank’s honesty and helpful expertise that I value.
Without Frank, I dont know if I will get the help I am looking for. I like Frank cuz he would tell me up front whether i needed to repair something or not. Most auto repair places would recommend fixing EVERYTHING and wont tell you some problem only need a minor adjustment here and there. Not being a car guy, I really depended on Frank to give me the honest truth about car repair and he would do his best to keep my repair cost down.
Mike, the owner is nice, but he does not spend the time to explain car stuff to me like Frank did.
I was happy for the past 7 years knowing I had a «car guy» like Frank to give me reliable service. Dont get me wrong, the technicians at Shell are good, but Frank gave them the directions to what work needed or NOT needed to be done. I need someone who can tell me what I DONT need to fix as well as what needs to be fix.
With Frank gone, I have to look for another repair place. Shell is just a mile away from my house, so finding another RELIABLE repair service close to home is not going to be easy.
I will miss Frank.

Expensive gas, although in a great location. Great customer service.

I raised three children as a single mama, worked my booty off to have enough money to keep a roof over our heads and food on the table… and know nothing whatsoever about cars. With that said, during all those years there was one thing that made me feel dread more than all others — THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT!
My kids are all grown now, but I can tell you when I see that light flash on the car, that sense of dread comes flooding back in because I feel vulnerable.
This morning I saw that light and didn’t want to drive it all the way to Santa Ana to my normal mechanic so I checked Unilocal and saw all these great reviews for Frank who is only about a mile from my front door. I am SO GRATEFUL that I did because man-​o-​man did I ever find a keeper.
He was so courteous and almost immediately put my mind at ease. Frank put my car up and showed me the problem so even I could understand it. Never once did I have that familiar feeling of being taken advantage of. I am thrilled to have found such an honest, good guy who I can trust not to milk me out of cash because I’m a female who knows nothing about cars. :)

Have gone here for years but today something went pretty wrong. 8am appt for an oil change — the sort of thing they can do at Jiffy Lube in 20 minutes. 60 minutes later I ask «When is someone going to get my car?» Oh, yeah, right now. it’s 48 degrees and I’ve been sitting outside in the cold because that’s the only place to sit. If you’re really lucky one of the chain smoking customers or employees will come over and sit by you and then you can suck in some 2^nd hand smoke and ruin your clothes while you wait.
It took $ 53 and 95 minutes for an oil change. I had an 8am appt and was there at 7:55am.
Mike told me that I need an air filter and new wiper blades next time. Guess what? Next time I’ll either be at the dealer’s — a 20 minute drive but they at least have a decent waiting area and it doesn’t take 95 minutes — OR I’ll go to Jiffy Lube in Yorba Linda.
Update as of 1÷9÷12: Got a message on the machine at home with an apology and a promise to do better next time. I don’t know if the «do better» includes moving all the smokers away from the «waiting area» which are the 2 metal chairs by the side of the building. It’s good to try new things, and I think I’m still heading to the dealer next time. I don’t know why they put someone else’s car in front of mine or ignored mine for 60+ minutes…

gas here is expensive. by like 7 – 9 cents.
cool futuristic red LED lights to warn people to return the nozzle back to the appropriate spot. which leads me to think… did some dipshit drive away with the nozzle attached to his/​her car? so that this shell station would have to install these red led lights?
they also have free hand sanitizers for you to use.
the air/​water machine costs about a buck. i remembered it was free a few years ago.
the convenient store is small and this place does have a mechanic.
this place has about 8+ pumps.

Never reviewed a gas station before… but this place is just strange.
This place is close to my house but I usually drive right by because the gas is 15 – 20 cents more than other places. I even feel guilty filling up my company car here!
But every once in a while I get over it.
They installed new pumps a while back and they have these red flashing LED lights at the top of each pump that flash the entire time you are pumping gas. There is also a ‘warning’ message that tells you the lights will continue to flash until you return the nozzle back to the pump? WTH?
I don’t get it. What else am I going to do with the nozzle when I’m done?!
Now I’ve noticed they have removed all the auto-​on latches on each nozzle so you have to stand there the entire time holding the pump lever to fill your tank. That is so annoying! It’s like going back in time 20 years when you had to hold it ‘on’ the entire time.
The sign on the pump says the fire marshall made them remove all the latches?!
So the one cool thing at this place… they have hand sanitizer dispensers at each pump. So when you are done you can squirt some in your hand and eradicate all the cooties.
Gotta love that.
