Business Owner

Dr. Iseri attended Harvey Mudd College and majored in Chemistry. He went to medical school at the University of Southern California and did his internship and residency training at Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. From there he took a fellowship in Genetics and Inherited Diseases at LA County — USC Medical Center. In August of 1984 he established the practice in Anaheim Hills, and in 2001 opened the office in Corona. He is a board certified pediatrician and has practiced in Orange County since 1977.

I recently left this practice because my Dr Halati left/​cut back his hours. He is the only reason i stayed at the office for as long as i did. The front office staff has never been particularly friendly but i recently had a run in with a billing clerk who was extremely rude & unprofessional! I am in the medical field myself & if i treated a patient the way she did i would be fired. Not only did she lie to me but she threatened to send to collections over a bill that i did not even owe (mind you i got no notice this bill was supposedly due either. She lied to me and said they srnt multiple statrments. Her supervisor confirmed that was not true). All it would have taken is a simple phone call to me & a call to insurance to clarify that i had coverage but instead she chose to argue, threaten me, & act extremely unprofessional. I would not recommend for anyone to visit this office unless they hire new office staff!

I’m very disappointed with the front desk staff. I should have read the reviews. However, Dr. Messinger has been great. I took my son in a month ago. I’ve been waiting for an echocardiogram referral for a month now. I was told that everything would be done within a month. Today marks four weeks and Andrea the person in charge of referrals did not have a response but to only blame the hospital. Per Andrea the hospital did not have my son within the system. I had been calling persistently every week. I waited patiently but could not any longer, she then said she would enter the referral manually. Why did she not do that two weeks ago. Mind you today is 12⁄30 and my insurance will start over on Jan. 1st. Her laziness and lack of customer service is costing me 90% of the procedure cost since it will not be done in 2015. The doctors should review her work ethics and think of their patients. So sad that we are thinking of leaving Eclipse Medical group, as we were very satisfied with the doctor, I cannot put my child’s health and finances in someones health that doesn’t care for their patients.

Friendly staff, excellent doctors. I drive about 20 miles to have my children be seen here, it’s worth the time and travel for me. I’ve never met such carrying and kind staff and doctors like I have here.

I would not even give this place one star. The doctors are great but the front staff is beyond horrible. Never dealed with such disrespectful and rude staff when I am dealing with my daughter being sick. I would
Not recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a friendly and comforting experience when your child is sick.

This is the worst Medical Group ever. The customer service is terrible. My daughter potentially broke her finger/​hand and I was given a lab x-​ray referral, because I NEED a referral for everything now and of course the office is not equipped enough to have their own x-​rays machine. So we rush down there only to find the lab closed. So I call Eclipse back and ask if there is any other lab I can go to. Then they precede to tell me I need to go to the emergency room but in order to see a bone specialist I need another referral that only they can give me. At this point my daughter is in tears with pain. And even if I go to the emergency room to help ease her pain and get an x-​ray I would still need to come back for the referral to the specialist. Again they get to bill my insurance.
3 months prior to this, I requested a referral to see a dermatologist for my 11 year old daughter who suffers from acne. I never received a call about this referral, so I called Eclipse back asking about it. I was told it was still in process. I still never received a phone call. They sure did bill my insurance company though. I only found out 3 months later the referral was denied BECAUSE Eclipse stated in the referral that her case of acne was mild and it could be treated in their office, hmmm. I guess they will bill AGAIN. I asked why I was never notified, I was only told sorry. So now it’s been 2 office visits they billed for and still have not been treated for anything and still NO referral. Subsequently, my daughter has suffered ridicule and bullying because of her «MILD» case of acne. I guess now I’ll be asking for a referral for a therapist, unless of course they can treat her for that in office also.
So basically they got to bill my insurance numerous times for absolutely nothing. I could have just went to the emergency room on my own for her hand. And I’ll be paying out-​of-​pocket for the dermatologist so I can actually help my daughter.
If you want a good doctor, who can give good care, stay clear of this office. Even the office staff is unfriendly and rude.

Let me first off say I love Dr. Halati!
I am very dissapointed to find out only after calling that Dr. Halati will no longer be seeing patients on regular basis. My son has been seeing Dr. Halati for 8 years and will only see him. Only after calling today to make an appointment did I find out he was not longer seeing patients on a regular basis. After asking if they had called his patients the office staff informed me they were telling patients as they called in. I asked if I could leave him a message to call me back and they then informed me they were not giving him messages. Are you kidding me! They want new patients but they treat the only patients like dirt!

Completely fed up with this office! We have been coming here for 7 years. Dr. Halati is the only dr with brain and we love him… but you can not get an appointment with out waiting hours for a call back. What is the point of having a receptionist if they refuse to book you an appointment. I call Monday with my sons condition. They say if it doesn’t improve in a couple of days please give us a call. I call 3 days later, son still running a high temp, other son still having issues with his asthma and they still refuse to get us in to be seen. Instead of having you go into their office, they will diagnose your child over the phone. To me, that’s crap!!! My son needs to been seen! Having missed 3 days of school now, they won’t even let him back in with out a dr. note. I am actively searching for a new pediatrician!!!

Before we had Medical and they treat us bad. Their staff is mean and their doctors were not too good. (Anaheim Hills)
When I brought my baby for his vaccines he had a reaction to the band aid and I took him there, his Pediatrician was kind of indifferent. It seems like they don’t care. That was three months ago. Obviously, I changed to another pediatrician but yesterday I got a bill because we didn’t show up, when I specifically told them I won’t go there anymore. Also, they never gave me my baby’s medical history. These people are just so bad.

I have been taking my children to the south corona office for 10+ years. I love Dr. Shih and wish we could continue to see him. Unfortunately the incompetence of the office staff has made that impossible. I took my son for his yearly physical. The minute we checked in they wanted their copay. I explained that with our insurance we do not pay for yearly physicals. The immediately threatened that if they found anything wrong they would be charging me that copay. Also while he was there they did a standard hearing test that previously always been included in the physical. Imagine my surprise when 3 months later I get a bill for $ 52 dollars. The office manager refused to take or return my phone calls. So I had my insurance call. They still would not discuss or change anything so I filed a complaint with my insurance agency. The office staff obviously doesn’t care about the patients at all.

There have been numerous times I have not been very pleased with the staff (Anaheim Hills Location) but today they really ticked me off. First I have to say that Dr. Halati has been an AMAZING pediatrician to my children! I really wish he would move to a different office because I don’t want my children to stop seeing him but I will no longer put up with the incompetent staff there! I called yesterday morning (4−1−15 @ 8:16 am) spoke with Ana… Informed her that two of my children needed physicals and my third child was sick. She puts me on hold for 18 minutes. Then returns to tell me that she can’t find one of my children’s charts so I can’t schedule them an appointment until the chart is found. She takes down my phone number and said she would call me back. I didn’t hear from her at all yesterday. So I called back again today in the late after noon and she answers again. I explained for her that I needed to schedule appointments for my children, immediately as I said my daughters name. She said, no one called you back yesterday (she should have been the one to call me back, she took the call) but I politely responded back with a no. She puts me on hold for 23 minutes and then comes to pick up the phone and hangs up one me. — I try giving this girl the benefit of the doubt that maybe it was an accident, so I try calling back. Same girl answers and then pretends like she doesn’t know who I am or what I’m talking about. (I know it’s the same girl. She says her name every time she picks up the phone ANA). She then proceeds to tell me that she can’t schedule an appt for my daughter because they have lost her chart. I demand that she or I speak with the office manager. Puts me on hold for another 12 minutes. Comes back and says that she can schedule an appointment for my sick son in MAY! Is this girl really that incompetent??? My son is sick NOW… He needs to be seen next week, not May! So when I decline the May appointment and tell her that my son needs to be seen next week. She hangs up on me again!!! I call back and they had put their phones on exchange. So unprofessional, so rude. My children will NEVER go to this office again. I can’t believe they way they treat their patients and families. They loose my daughters chart, won’t allow me to schedule an appointment for her and then tries to schedule my sick sons appointment in May, not to mention the extended times she had me waiting on hold… UNBELIEVABLE!
Dr. Halati… If you ever leave eclipse medical… Please let me know. We will follow you where ever you go, but for now… Any moms out there that can recommend a good pediatrician in the Tustin/​Irvine area? Thanks in advance!

First of all, I would like to say, five star to Dr. Messinger. Both my daughter and my son have been seeing him since day one in hospital. And my daughter is 11 year old! Though there were times that we just had to schedule with whoever was available, we would always try to see Dr. Messinger whenever possible. He is alway patient, and very thorough in answering your question or concerns.
With that being said, I would give 0 star to the front office ladies if I can! I would say the same thing as some other reviews: if it’s not for Dr. Messinger, we’d switch to a different pediatrician office long time ago! They are always cold and unfriendly, do not care about your concerns or issues, and obviously do not care when the wrong information given by them caused you a lot of trouble!

We have been seeing Dr Iseri and his team for 5 years now. I really appreciate how wonderful their staff is. The doctors are all so great with my kids. They take the time to hear my concerns and answer all my questions. I have been to both their Anaheim Hills office and their Corona office and both of them are gorgeous. It is clean and I don’t feel like my kids are going to get even more sick once we leave. They have a fun Hawaiian theme going in both offices. I appreciate having a doctor I can trust when it comes to keeping my kids safe and healthy! Thank you Dr. Iseri and your team, we are so thankful for you!

First of all let me make it clear this is my first non-​five star review I have ever left. I’m sitting here in shock at the lack of customer service and to be frank, flat out rudeness I just experienced. I had brought my children to this office 6 years ago, then in 2013 asked for my records for two reasons: one we moved to corona, and two, a complete lack of overall professionalism by the front office staff. I like the doctors, I really do, but I don’t know how employees like Lisa (the front office supervisor) still have a job. So after moving back this year to the area, I found myself in a panic because my kindergartner needed his physical. So I thought «hey let’s give them another shot, the doctors were sweet, and maybe the staff is different «. My first experience back wasn’t too bad other than the fact that I had an appointment and wasn’t seen for an hour and a half, however the staff was mostly the same. So today I had my husband call because my other child is sick, and they tell my husband «sorry buddy you guys left in 2013, better check with mom». I died. Who the heck says that to a client? I call back in order to clear things up, and was basically told that we left before and people usually don’t come back so if we wanted to we could make an appointment that she guesses she could. In shock I explained to her that I was honestly feeling like they didn’t want us back and that I was so confused about the fact they run their office with such a lack of class and tact. She didn’t care. Whatever Lisa your bitchy attitude honestly did me a favor! There are plenty of other pediatric practices with front office staff that are pleasant and enjoy their job. Word to the wise, take the time to do your research, mind the bad reviews. Don’t waste your hard earned money on a place that I guarantee will make you regret stepping into! Never again!

I would like to see Pediatricians especially, to wash their hands after entering the room and before examining any child. It is just common sense to do so and I think only one of the doctors at this location does so. I hope it becomes common practice by all doctors, and nurses as well.

I started bringing my son here since he was born by refferal from relatives. Dr Iseri was friendly kind and taught me some tricks as a new mom. DR. Halati has been his doctor since and he is amazing. He provides an environment that is very kid friendly. He is pro breastfeeding super friendly educates the moms n dads and keeps my son happy and healthy. One of the best doctors I’ve met and so happy we chose him for our son.

My two daughters have long been patients of this medical group. If it weren’t for Dr. Halati or Dr. Messinger, we too would have been long gone and transferred to another pediatrician. The office staff USED to friendly, had people skills and were customer service oriented. Yeah… THAT was 8 years or so ago. I’ve long had problems with how robotic the office staff function. I’m a nurse by trade– in the healthcare sales industry and it becomes almost unbearable to deal with office staff who ask questions that make you shake your head and wonder. Did they really just ask me that? One instance the office refused to provide me with a requisition form to have a urine sample tested elsewhere because it’s their policy that urine samples be processed on-​site? I can go on and on about my run-​ins with the office staff.
Yeah. It’s mind blowing that they chose to run their business this way. Pattie (doctor Iseri’s wife) listen up. WE ARE TRULY UNHAPPY! Maybe a customer service oriented seminar for your employees?

Went to have my daughters cough checked on today. Made her appointment today for 2:30. She was not able to go to school, as I don’t know if she is contagious.
Front office woman was unfriendly. Waited five minutes, while she fussed around. She asked for me to write down my address and phone (which is odd, since I’ve used this office for my son too, for 15 years).
Next, my daughter is called back to the room. Two women escorted us and I sit down. Heather introduces herself and proceeds to tell me I have an outstanding bill from Feb. 2012. Wait! What? I thought they were nurses!
Not only was I taken off guard; it took two women to tell me THAT??? I said no, there is no outstanding balance and she said I was wrong. Really??? Whipped out my check book and read her the check #. She wrote it down. I was very upset and said I will no longer be using them as our doctor.
I left the office and called another pediatrician from their parking lot. I scheduled my daughters appointment tomorrow, since no more were available today.
I walked back in the office to get my insurance card, they didn’t return and give them the fax to the new doctor. The front office woman said there’d be a $ 35 fee for transferring the records. I said, no there will not!!! And she asked if I wanted to speak with the supervisor.
Then, the same two women that cornered me before, wanted to go back to talk in private, (where they’d embarrassed me before??) No, thank you!
Heather told me they found that I did pay, but they hadn’t applied it to our account. I said, but you took it out of my bank account though. She knew I was right.
Bottom line is they didn’t care about my sick child, just their $ 54.90 they ALREADY received. We will never go back!
Sucks for them because I really liked Dr. Hill and our insurance is PPO. Nobody likes a shake down, especially when we never deserved it. We’ve ALWAYS paid them. I’m sure they feel pretty stupid now. Their loss!

My daughter was a patient here for years, luckily no real problems until 2011. Hit with extreme dizziness, vomiting. Went back a couple of times, said it was stomach virus. ha, typical generic answer. A lady Dr there was trying to help, but gave up and then told me I should get her mental help. I called Dr Iseri to please give my daughter a complete physical, he refused to fit her in and said «she’s just trying to manipulate you» omg! Finally after extreme anxiety resulted because she was still dizzy after 2 weeks and no answers, I stopped going there and after a couple months got her into see a specialist at ucla, he diagnosed her with migraine associated vertigo. So insulted by Dr iseris unprofessional attitude and unwillingness to help. They bugged me for a 60.00 dollar payment for sometime after. They can suck it! BTW they owe me money because yeah, at this office they make you pay co-​pays for well visits. Dr Iseri needs to do the medical world a favor and retire. That can’t keep help at this office either. never the same faces there. What a nightmare time that was, thanks for nothing Iseri!

Dr. Halati has been my daughter’s pediatrician since she was born and we love him! He is pro-​breastfeeding, which is something that was very important to me when looking for a pediatrician. I’ve had friends who had pediatricians tell them their babies were too small and that they should supplement with formula. My daughter has always been on the low end of the weight scale, but he assured us that she was growing at a normal rate and that all was good and he has never mentioned giving her formula.
We’re always able to make same-​day appointments if she gets sick, and if we call to ask him a question, he always calls back within a few hours.
The office has a sick waiting room and a well waiting room and there’s always a nature DVD playing. I appreciate that they don’t show obnoxious cartoons.
I’m not a fan of some of the office staff, but a few of the girls are really nice. The $ 2 parking fee is no good, but the office has nothing to do with that and has actually had a petition to get rid of it.
UPDATE: They moved! No more parking fee! The new office is very nice. Big thumbs up!
