My cousin suggested this salon but we didn’t know any stylist there. So I looked the place up and found some great reviews on Jennifer Griffiths… I decided to go with her solely based on her Unilocal reviews… it was such a great decision! She is so friendly and so gifted! I showed her a few examples of what I liked and explained what I didn’t want and she totally got it. She gave me an amazing hair makeover! I couldn’t be happier with my experience. She took my ombré balayage to the next level! Highly recommend her, I have found my perfect hair stylist!

Michelle Wagner is my HAIR SAVER! I haven’t seen her for months and I had an emergency cut and need to see her. This past Thursday, a part of my hair caught on fire while I was cooking! No, this is no good at all! I had to at least burned off a good 3 inches of the second layer of my hair! And, of course, there were burnt ends! I quickly patted it out, rinsed out my hair, and deeply conditioned it to salvage what was left. After, I quickly contact Michelle for an emergency cut and trim and to help salvage what was left of my burnt hair! Michelle is always so sweet and managed to squeeze me into an early Friday morning appointment!
When she squeezed me in, all I could do was curl up into a ball and cry. I could not believe I was this careless! Michelle consoled me and told me she would fix it. My fiancé told me to trust her since I have been seeing her for my hair cuts and styles for the past five (5) years.
Come Friday morning, I go see her and I can still smell the burnt ends. I start to tear up, but Michelle cajoles me once more and brings me to her chair and assesses the damage, and instantly, she knew what to do. She takes out her scissors and brush and begins to snip away the burnt ends. She shows me what the real damage is and the length that was burned. She tells me that I am lucky to have only burnt off the second layer and starts to even out my hair on both sides. Yes, I am sad a few inches are gone, but she has revitalized my hair!
Michelle is very sweet and would recommend products for me to use, but she would never force it on me to use it. One thing I was skeptical about was the use of «pure» conditioners, but since I tried it, my hair has never been looking better! Michelle will give recommendations as to how to upkeep your hair, but she won’t push it on you. She’ll ask you what you use and sometimes, she might not agree, but the point is that she understands why you use it because everyone’s hair is different. To me, that is a big thing because she is NOT pushy and is UNDERSTANDING. I am willing to come see her and I drive from Ontario all the way here for her. Yes, I drive through the dreaded 91 freeway and sometimes the 57 if it is that bad, BUT I WILL SEE HER.
Oh, and if you are looking for someone to do your hair for a special occasion, I recommend to go to her as well. I will be seeing Michelle again for trials on my bridal hair and she knows exactly what I want and what will look best on me! Unfortunately, because I would like her to enjoy the wedding, she will only be working on my bridesmaids hair for the wedding and I will be working with someone else, but if this person is not good at all, then I will be going to Michelle.
Michelle knows her stuff and she cuts hair really well. I have been going to her for the past fives years and will continue to go to her. I have even started pulling ideas of what to do with my hair after the wedding! She has given me a bunch of ideas so I am very excited for my hair after the wedding. Michelle also gives recommendations for at-​home treatments if you are curious on doing on at home.
In the end, thank you Michelle W. for consoling me, for taking me as a last minute emergency cut, for revitalizing my hair, and I am excited to use Pureology! I cannot wait to see results!

I’ve been going to Sarah Fry at Alexander’s Salon for over a year now and I don’t trust my hair with anyone else!
She always does exactly what I ask for and I always love my color after. I usually hate getting my hair trimmed because some stylists cut too much off, but Sarah cuts just enough to keep my hair looking healthy. In fact, it is much thicker and longer than it was a year ago! Me and two of my friends all go to Sarah and I will definitely recommend her to anyone!
The salon feels classy and is very nice and clean. There’s even a coffee bar and a café with food options! It’s definitely worth the drive from Irvine.

Jillian Reed has done my hair a few times. She’s great if you need a change or something new. Thanks Jillian for some fun and new styles and color. Plus she’s a sweetie!
I had to change my four to a five because Jillian has done it again. She added my Babe tape in extensions! I love them. She placed them just right and didn’t make me buy more than I needed. Also this girl knows how to CUT them! That’s so important, as my last hairstylist butchered them. Yes I probably could have done three packs BUT the two packs are just enough for now (I have very thin/​short hair). She even cut my baby’s hair!

Jennifer Griffiths is so talented and down to earth. She recommend a color for my hair that was low maintenance and which complimented my skin tone. She also gave me a fresh new haircut after listening to what I was looking for. She customized my cut based off a picture I showed her of a style I liked, so that it would work for my hair type and lifestyle. Obviously I’m a huge fan!

Amber B. is a phenomenal hairstylist! My blonde turns out perfect every time and she always gets exactly what I want. She is the sweetest hairstylist you’ll ever have :). The salon is also very nice and there’s a great café inside I’d highly recommend!

I recently visited my Daughter in Anaheim and had my hair colored by her stylist Amber B. I can’t begin to say how thrilled I was with my hair. She did such a great job and my color is beautiful.

Stacey K is THE BEST. Her cuts are always on point. One time I had an up-​do done for a wedding out of state and the stylist couldn’t stop raving about how great my cut was. Even when it’s grown out it looks great. Thank you Stacey!

Love my girl, Alissa B. She always takes such good care of me and makes me feel like a million bucks when I leave! I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my hair. :)

I love this place. I went in with a beanie on and a hoodie covering my hair. Sarah Fry took one look at it and said I can fix this. I wanted to cry because I was in desperate need of color correction. I came with orange hair and left with the perfect hair color. Thank you!

Two of us in for virtually walk in appointments. Called an hour before and got us in for cuts and highlight no problem.

Jennifer Griffiths is the Michelangelo of the modern times! She is an artist and she literally did a masterpiece today on my hair! I am originally from Brazil, where the highlights are done perfectly, and took me several years to find a hair stylist that could really get to the color that I like on my hair… A cool platinum blonde with zero sign of warm colors. I found Jennifer here on Unilocal and because of her great reviews I booked an appointment. I am very glad that I found her because I will never leave Jennifer and I won’t let anyone else touch my hair! She is incredibly talented and know what she is doing! You can trust her work 100%! I also want to compliment Michael that works directly with her… she is great and super helpful! Check it out the picture of how my hair was and the incredible transformation that Jennifer made, I am truly satisfied! The joy and confidence that I am emanating right now is priceless :)

I came here because I got a groupon for full highlights and a haircut from Crystal Sugamele. She was really friendly and pays close attention to your hair history. For several months I’ve lived with a color I hated and she transformed it into a beautiful blonde color I am really pleased with. She managed to get the orange, coppery color out of a weird blonde shade. I totally recommend her for finding the right shade and fixing what you don’t like about your shade
But I can’t give a higher/​5 rating because I later realized what was going on with my roots and I was not pleased. I’ve had full highlights before and when my hair has gone into the foil, my dark roots end up matching my ends (with only half a centimeter remaining dark). But as lovely as my color was today, my roots came out choppy. You can still very much see where my roots begin and end, and only a few strands match the rest of my hair. There is still so much dark hair. It’s going to look even weirder as my roots grow out, so I’m disappointed in having to find a way to fix it fast

I have been coming here for over eight years, most of which I have spent with Angelica. She is highly experienced, amazingly talented and sweetly personable. I would trust her with my hair, with that of my children or that of my friends! In fact, I actually have! She does the hair of my daughter my son my best friend… and another girlfriend, etc. Angelica is excellent with hair cuts, short or long, and any kind of color or highlights or perms.
The salon itself is always clean and brightly lit and has an excellent selection of hair products available and displayed in front. The receptionists are always friendly and helpful. The bathrooms are well stocked and clean. They have a food and beverage bar as well, with free coffee or tea for all clients.

Crystal was polite and spent a good deal of time on my highlights. I had asked for highlights that were not streaky, but they turned out looking like thin stripes :(
I’m sure some people like that look but i prefer more natural looking color. She offered to fix it by toners and whatnot… i’m thinking about it.
Btw she gets really busy. i had to call 2 or 3 times to get through to initially book b/​c she didnt respond to my voicemail

I would highly recommend Jennifer Griffiths! She’s the best ! Let me tell you she will take care of you and make sure you get what you ask for ! She color corrected my hair from this ugly silver ish blonde and got me to a blonde! I absolutely love my hair she didn’t even damage my hair ! I have been going to Alexander’s for about 3 years now and highly recommend Nicole Yelicich! I recently got my first Brazilian Blowout with Nicole and love the new feel and look of my hair! Her attention to detail and my needs are well beyond my expectations! I can confidently say that I plan on continuing my routine hair appointments with her!

I moved to Orange County 2 years ago and was in a panic to find a hair stylist here. It is always difficult to find someone who can do the right blonde but Angelica is the absolute best. She does the best blonde in OC! I tried several salons prior to coming to her, even high end ones in Newport and no one could do blonde like Angelica. I came to her from a referral and am so happy I found her!

I have never loved my hair this way until I have walked into Alexander Grand salon. Ashely Goetz is the most amazing hairstylist I have ever met! Not only do I adore the results, her personality and her patience with me was extraordinary.
I am so Happy that I have decided to schedule with her after seeing all the amazing work ladies have uploaded here.
I have never had my hair done exactly the way I pictured it until now!

Please note that this review is for JENNY SANDOVAL only! I went to see Jenny on a referral to update my look and she did not disappoint! I got the most perfect ombré style on my long medium brown hair. The tone of blonde is perfectly golden, beachy and sunkissed, and I have gotten so many compliments from strangers that I now have no choice but to continue to come to Jenny (From Santa Monica, this is a LOOONG drive for me — but totally worth it). Jenny understands color and how to achieve a natural look with ombré, without it being choppy or brassy. She understood my needs for a low maintenance look that will last up to 6 months, and on top of everything, she’s a cool chick to spend 2 hours in the chair with :)
I can’t recommend her enough!
