I took my kids to the local pool for their first swim lessons tonight. I was told that My son who is only 6 was expected to walk through the men’s shower room and out to the pool without me. I have never allowed My son to go into a public restroom without me before. The front desk staff was extremely rude and offered no alternative for a 6 year old boy to get to the pool accompanied by his mother. A parent of another child walked My son through for me. All was well. On the way back through though, My son got lost. He was scared and crying. A parent brought him out of the locker room to a staff member who found me. The staff member was kind and offered a solution for the next time that we come. I am extremely disappointed in the lack of care that the front desk showed in assisting me and my child to safely and comfortably make it to and from the pool. I certainly am not the first mother to take her young son to the pool. Why are we being forced to send our boys through by themselves? My first visit to the pool left a very bad impression. I came back to edit and change my rating. The pool management was quick to address my concerns and presented us with an acceptable solution to our problem.

Variety of lessons and classes. Teachers are really good with the kids. Sometimes it is hard to get into classes as they fill up quickly. Clean nice pool to swim at. My kids enjoy their lessons a lot.

Good pool in Anacortes. Lots of different activities and a fairly varied schedule for lap swimmers. Aquakids program for under 3 is fun. Pool itself has deep end with 1m board and a slide for the kids. Pool is also used for a swim team and the local high school.
