If you live in Amsterdam, you’ve probably been here, because it’s been around forever. And you know what? It’s always delicious. When you want some quality Italian food at a reasonable price, this is the place to go.

Wonderful food, service and hospitality! The hostess was an absolute treasure– we felt like we knew her our whole life and she was so kind to our baby Brooklyn! A great find — highly recommended. If you like Sicilian– try the pizza!

Clearly this spot is a local Treasure! The food is absolutely amazing. I had the meatballs and sausage, my mother had the chicken Parmesan, loved the sauce! Highly recommend!!!

For a family restaurant in Amsterdam, this is my favorite. Actually, this is my favorite restaurant in Amsterdam. The hot turkey sandwich w gravy & of course gravy fries are perfect. Fresh turkey, fresh Italian bread and the right amount of flavorful gravy. Yum. I am also a fan of the burger on Italian bread. Cooked to your preferred temperature. And the«chicken parm pick up», which is a chicken parm sandwich. The regular chicken parm is also good but comes with a lot of pasta. The pizza w sausage is delicious.

Friendly spot, clean, good prices and menu. Open late(we swung in at 10:20 pm. Family friendly separate pun and dining area. Good portions, lots of Pasta. Eggplant parmigiana delish.

Would recommend for the pasta. Not be greatest in the world but pretty good. The pizza, however, is awful. There must be better options for that in Amsterdam. Crust was hard as a brick and had no cheese or sauce. What a disappointment.

I hate to bash a small business, but I don’t get this place. Service was terrible. It was my first time here, and I felt the regulars got better service. Drinks came fast, but everything else after that was slow, slow, slow, including refills. In their defense, portions for the pasts we got were huge. Certainly enough to take home.

Went here last night for dinner. Dark inside with lots of family photos on the wall. But really, my issue here is the food. I ordered the Russo Burger since it’s billed as a house favorite for over 30 years. I asked for it medium well, and received it well done. Additionally, their attempt at char-grilled flavor was to burn the outside of it over a gas grill. Not a great flavor if you ask me. The fries were frozen, not fresh, and were also over cooked and dry. My girlfriend had the chicken parm, the sauce tasted like it was just crushed tomatoes from a can with wayyy too many herbs thrown in. It was like getting hit in the face with oregano, and the tomato flavor was very tangy. Both the chicken and the pasta were overcooked, chicken dry and hard, with the pasta being soft and sticky. The only saving grace for this place was it’s homemade bread and good service, but overall, a lacking experience from what I was expecting

Traveled to Amsterdam on business from west of the Mississippi. Went to Russo’s and I learned that the stuff they call italian food where I live is not even close to the real thing. Russo’s serves the real thing for sure. Quaint old place that has the best lasagna i have ever dreamt of eating. The story of the Russo family running the place for like 90 years or something is cool too. The waitress was very helpful and attentive. Food and drinks were great and very fairly priced.

I LOVE their pizza and sauce. The only downfall is their prices have skyrocketed since the flood & they opened their new restaurant, we appreciate you reopening but dont want to pay for your restorations! Your meals are expensive and dont come with even a salad. Your help doesnt really say hi but the owner is really sweet and always takes the time out to open the door for me on the way out. If you get the quirks taken care of youll be rockin.

I always love it here. The food is very consistent and good. Not knock your socks off good but good enough to go back once a week :-) the bread is fresh and the portions are large. Just a little hole in the wall restaurant that we like. All home made food. That’s hard to find these days.

Was on way to Saratoga with family and needed to grab lunch. This place was perfect and the sauce and food were outstanding. The hot eggplant sandwich was probably one of the best I’ve had. Kids liked it too. A great place all around.

In a town where lots of streets look abandoned and buildings are boarded up, this place is a diamond in the ruff. Very nice décor, friendly and helpful servers, family friendly, and they were able to accommodate my allergy to wheat(not an easy task for an Italian restaurant).

This is the best Italian Restaurant in this area!!! The sauce is phenomenal!!! I order something that is not even on the menu all the time and it’s awesome. Love this PLACE :)
