Where do I begin? This Shelter is terrible. When I walked in the door all of the staff were just sitting and standing around eating while animals roamed around. It smells like piss throughout the building that’s in shambles. I adopted a cat from there whom I love very much only to be stuck with countless vet bills the week after because of the lack of care and testing she had there. She had Bartonella and could have died if I hadn’t adopted her. I called to ask them to cover the vet bills and they declined and referred me to a shady«pet» insurance agency that they claim would cover the vet bills. Of course they didn’t. This Shelter should be reported. This isn’t a shelter because they’re not taking care of their animals. I love my cat and I don’t regret adopting her but they need to acknowledge the fact that they adopt out sick animals. I would give no stars for this place but one star is my only option.

The volunteers here are super helpful and friendly, and their low-cost spay/neuter program is great! I wish they had more standard hours, but it’s entirely understandable that they’re short-staffed, given they work with many volunteers. If you’re looking to adopt, or you have an animal that needs a spay/neuter or microchip, this is definitely a good place to go.
