My favorite Oregon Winery. Welcoming staff, great detting with amazing view. My wife and Iike to play scrabble and enjoy a bottle of wine in the tasting room. They also have Woodfire pixza oven some evenings and darts and yard games.

Love this place! Awesome view, great wine and very nice staff. We’ll be back many times!

This is a great winery with a very heartwarming story behind the founder Jimi Brooks.
The wine was very tasty, the Pinot Noir is all very nice tasting. They wave the tasting fee with a purchase and the atmosphere is very laid back. The view from the tasting room is amazing. Very beautiful grounds with wide open view from cozy large tasting room with couches and tables.
Highly recommend this winery if in the Willamette Valley.

Love this winery and the history. They truly are making wine that reflects their dedication and love for the land and family. We brought our whole family for a tasting. My 6 year old daughter enjoyed playing board games and homemade root beer. We brought bottles of wine home and will become a member. We will be back soon.

An Unpretentious Piece of Oregon Wine Country
I don’t get to see my sister often so when she relocated to Oregon this past fall spending Christmas together was a no brainer. Having both been born in New Orleans and myself being part of the service industry, food and wine is a fundamental chunk of my life and consequently, a visit to Amity, OR was a no brainer.
So here is the story. Brooks is a wonderful vineyard in a number of ways.
Staff: Let me say that everyone of the staff that I had the pleasure to meet was nothing less than friendly, generous, and most certainly knowledgeable. Dayson in particular, what a nice guy…
Now I could have used a number of grandiose adjectives here to describe the staff but it wouldn’t do them justice. I guess you’ll just have to visit the place to understand my comment; but once you do you’ll see that Brooks’ staff is not at all about putting on a show. On the contrary, the staff here is fantastically unpretentious. They treat you like an old friend and make sure that you are comfortable in their home. Apparently, even a grower will show up from time to time as was the case on our visit when the farmer whose fruit is, in part, responsible for the 2014 Pinot Blanc stopped by to have a glass of wine — Wilco Feed Store cap, denim on denim attire, boots, and all.
The Winery: The new tasting area, as I mentioned, is modestly yet well appointed with tasteful décor and flooded with light, leather and velvet couches, farmhouse tables, and an exposed beam gabled ceiling. Protruding from the ceiling’s wood, one can actually see, whitewashed nails used to secure the roof on to the building. I am sure that with a ton of guests it may get a bit noisy. Nevertheless, they were pretty busy when we were there and I could hold a conversation with Dayson without straining my voice at all. The space opens-​up to a broad wooden deck that oversees the vineyard — it’s just a comfortable place, period.
The Wine & The Tasting (s): I’ll admit that we over indulged a bit and did one red and one white tasting. Actually, in the end we tasted everything they served us. That is, we tasted all of their wines.
That said, all that I tasted left a good impression. Brook’s whites are where the winery’s core competency lies. The Rieslings are all characteristically unique from one another and if you are lucky enough to taste two vintages of the same wine as we did (’13 -’14 Brooks Estate), you’ll gain a true appreciation of what a difference 12 months can make in the personality of a wine. Aside from the Rieslings both the Pinot Blanc (’14) and the Gewürztraminer (’13) were quite tasty.
Brook’s Pinot Noirs are mostly light in body and each holds different levels of complexity. Leather, Marion Berry, Pepper… The Rastaban (’11) was a very well balanced Pinot and their best red. Of course, in the end it all comes down to each individual’s palate… so all this may be lost on the reader, I digress.
Location: The Winery is very conveniently located between 99W and I5. Take 99W, the scenery is better.
In the end, it was Dayson’s great personality that made it all come together. Nevertheless, He had a lot to work with…
I will definitely visit again.

I went to this winery with my sister, who is a member. She knows Davin who is also from Hawaii like we are. It must have been our lucky day because he gave us an amazing tour and explained the wine making process to us while giving us the history of the winery. I would also like to note that he made time for us even though he clearly had a huge workload that day.
This is by far the best winery my family has been to! The winery has an amazing view and is very accommodating. The staff are very friendly and knowledgable! And of course the wine is fabulous!

I’m far from a wine connoisseur. I appreciate the art of producing and consuming «fine» wine, but I can’t tell you for certain what flavor profile a particular wine has, the distinction of grapes, information about tannins, etc. I’ll say, however, that I have one particular favorite winery… and that would be Brooks in the Willamette Valley. Admittedly, I’ve not spent enough time in Sonoma, Napa, or California’s Central Coast (I know! I know! I live in San Francisco.) to say if there’s a region that produces better white or red varietals, but Brooks in Oregon certainly churns out delicious wine. Period. They are most known for their riesling, and accordingly, other whites such as Muscat and Pinot Gris.
Upon arriving, you were just awe-​struck by Brooks’ surroundings. It is tucked away amid dirt roads, green shrubbery, and (at least in the fall) gorgeous golden vineyards. When you enter, you’ll find a bar area where vintners encourage you to lounge and choose a flight. My friends and I are partial to whites so we chose the white wine flight. A friendly young gentleman set down some wine glasses and while he retrieved the first bottle, my friends and I sat and took in the view. On the upper deck, there is a generous amount of seating: couches, high chairs, and tables. Below, there is a fire pit with individual seating. You’ll also see in the distance a number of wooden picnic tables so you can absorb the region’s picturesque view from a closer range. The gentleman who served us knew I loved their 2012 Terue Muscat (not too sweet like other similar muscat grape wines) so rather than giving us another riesling (which were great too!), he gave us a tasting of the 2014 Terue Muscat at the end. That was really thoughtful of him to accommodate. Funny enough, even though I came to Brooks with the intention of buying the 2012 Muscat, I wound up buying another white instead — specifically the 2014 Amycas. I also loved their 2014 Gewürztraminer, but opted for the former.
The gentleman provided a history of Brooks wines, and it was a lovely story about the founder and his family’s passion for Willamette Valley wine and Alsace-​style rieslings. Lastly, if you check-​in via Unilocal,you’ll receive a 10% discount for bottles. Brooks is a gem. After visiting, I know I’ll have to continue purchasing their wine from San Francisco and I intend to return upon my next Portland excursion.

Beautiful winery. The service was great and their staff was intelligent and helpful. You can do a flight of 6 reds, whites, or mixed for $ 15, which is comped if you buy $ 50 worth of wine. They also have meat and cheese boards, which looked delicious. Definitely worth a stop if you want a taste of true Oregon terroir!

Three tasting flights of 6 wines for $ 15. One all white, one all Pinot Noir and one mix. Beautiful tasting room with great views. And local hazelnuts complimentary with tasting. Wines were all very tasty. Great story about the winery and the owners — ask about this if you are not told.

This winery was recommended by a couple we met while tasting at Grochau Cellars next door. GC’s new tasting room previously belonged to Brooks Vineyards, so we had to check it out. We were not disappointed. The view from the deck is absolutely stunning, and the Riesling (I tend to not enjoy whites the most) was a fresh and surprising deviation from sipping Pinot Noir all day.

Definitely worth a visit. Especially on the 3^rd Friday of each month during the summer (that is when they offer Pizza Friday’s and stay open till 7pm).
The atmosphere is outstanding. The view of the valley is great, and the staff feels like one big family.
The wines are young, but I see good potential over the next few years.
Will definitely be back on my next visit to Oregon

Beautiful tasting room with a huge deck. Great dry Rieslings and Gewurztraminers. They offer crisp, light white wines as well as a variety of Pinot Noirs. The service was welcoming which made our experience all the better. Beautiful winery, great wine and service. I will be back!

I had a splendid rainy day visit and found the new tasting facility to be sophisticated, well designed, gorgeous, and with a magnificent deck overlooking their vineyard.
$ 15 tasting fee, refundable with $ 50 minimum purchase.
Crew was friendly, although our server was too young and did not know their wines or their profile very well. Mildly frustrating.
My favorite winery in the WV– from the story to the biodynamic philosophy, to their great friendliness and price points.

Nice place with friendly people, good wines, fun outdoor games, good cheese and salami platter, only reason not 5 stars is they did not allow my German Shepherd in main tasting room, 99% allow this no problem, why they want to be the 1% that does not is beyond my imagination.

Brooks Winery — You remind me of heaven. This winery has an amazing story about winemakers coming together when the original owner died unexpectedly about a decade ago. Our server was very sweet and attentive. She was very personable and treated us like family. She was very knowledgeable about their wines and history. A flight is $ 15 which is reasonable, since the pours are decent sized. You can choose between whites, reds, or a combo. of both selections. We had a «free» tasting for two with our Oregon Wine Passport that we purchased during the holidays. We chose the white flight and tasted 7 wines. We enjoyed many of them. I would have purchased some bottles, but my job has just ended, and I am looking now for new opportunities. I would highly recommend this winery to anyone though. Great wine and great views. The new tasting room just opened last fall, so it is really a fun place to check out. I loved the chalk board in the bathroom too. I also liked the complimentary hazelnuts in between tastings. I will be back to purchase wine and take in this magical place.

Would’ve been five stars if they were more attentive (we were doing wine flights and had to ask for three of our different flights to be poured because our glasses were empty for a couple of minutes).
Both the scenery and building are top notch, as is their food. Unfortunately, their wine left a little to be desired — they did the wine flight backwards (white, red, red, red, white, red). It made no sense and it was not good for the palette at all.
More attention and this would be a great place.

Tasting room is great. Large enough to accommodate a crowd. Flights are 6 bottles.
The worst thing about this tasting room is it has a TV.
It should not be likened to a sports bar.

Over the Thanksgiving weekend, this was our favorite winery of the day. It screams «Portland», with wine, beer and coffee!
A friend of mine, who works in the industry, recommended this as her and her husbands favorite and took us here. As members, they got us in as guests. Being our 3^rd winery of the day, the guys were wined out and opted for a glass of beer. I was driving so I just had one tasting and then hit the complimentary buffet table of meets and cheeses, then tried one of their signature espressos.
Inside, the place was decorated beautifully for Christmas. It was so lovely to sit back on their overstuffed sofa’s and just relax for a while.
Of all the wineries we’d been to that day, this one had the best view… and a lovely deck to take it in from. Unfortunately, we arrived as it was beginning to get dark and cloudy, so our photo ops had to be taken indoors.
If you are in wine country and with any non-​wine connoisseurs, bring them here for coffee and beer — while you sip your wine.

Brooks has a brand-​new tasting room that is incredibly gorgeous! I love being apart of their wine club. They host great pickup parties! The staff make you feel so comfortable and welcome. There is no snobbery here!
I am usually a «red wine person», but Brooks has won me over with their delicious Rieslings. These are not the overly sweet Rieslings you may be thinking of. These are sweet to the nose, but very dry and tasty. You will be very surprised.
A great new wine club member perk is ½ off a bottle of wine when you drink it at the winery. We spent the afternoon Saturday enjoying a couple bottles in our party and also enjoyed a delicious charcuterie and cheese plate on their beautiful deck.

A really lovely tasting room off the beaten path in Amity. The drive out there is gorgeous in the spring when the trees are in bloom.
The guy who helped my husband and I was really friendly and we had a nice visit, we were the only people in there. There is a really sweet winery cat that has taken up residence here.
The wines were good, but I considered the pricing a touch high, especially for the area. It did not stop us from picking up a couple bottles.
We will be back when in the area again.
