Spacious, clean, high ceiling and dynamic. The large mirrors by the weights create lots of space interiorly. And the stairs can be used for workouts too. Had lots of fun working out here during my visit at UMass.

This is, by far, the best gym I’ve ever been to. It’s free for UMass students (well, that’s debatable) and it’s very cheap for alumni.
It has several squat racks, a well stocked aerobic area, group classes, an indoor track, and a nice juice bar.

Monterey Park, CA
Tennis!
Over the last two weeks, I got a chance to play tennis twice at the UMass tennis center.
Most of the courts are locked up, but there are six outer courts that you can play on. They could be kept in slightly better shape, but I can’t complain. I got to play tennis and it was free.
In the summer, it’s hot and humid in MA, which is something that I’m not used to. It definitely took a little while to adjust.
