If they have PINK hair they probably don’t CARE! Don’t waste time or money on this salon. I received awful service by NATHAN! I came in to get my color refreshed and a trim with some added layers. I have long straight dark brown hair. He had to mix up dye twice because he didn’t make up enough for my hair and he was so sloppy applying the dye it was all over my forehead as well as the side of my face! Nathan dropped the applicator brush twice on the floor an just picked it up and started applying dye without cleaning it off or grabbing another. By the way I saw hair from previous cuts all over the mirror and floor it just was not clean and again no one else was in they were sitting in the back when I came in… unclean and sloppy! When Nathan washed the dye off my hair he was spraying the water all over my face and I even got water in the back of my shirt he also filled my ear with water, just careless and sloppy. Then the cut I just wanted a trim and since I have flat straight hair some layers to give it body, I guess that was to much to ask. He decided to take more off because in his opinion my ends where dead which I give him that my hair hasn’t been cut in over 6 months, I like my long hair but I just wanted a half and inch to an inch off. my hair was below my breast and now sits above he took too much off. He struggled combing my hair out and cutting in layers… and when he was drying my hair he was pulling and hurting my head he was just not being gentle!!! The layers are a joke and don’t line up I have long strands next to short ones… it looks funky! when I bring my hair forward the left side is longer then the right side. I’m frustrated upset and now funny looking for 75 $ was $ 95 but I needed new shampoo and conditioner. F me for going into a salon in a mall on a Monday night when there was no one in… now I see, for a reason. I spent as much money as I would in a great salon for a academy cut like the school where you can get a cut for 10 $ lol THANKYOUNATHAN! It’s my fault for even going in and letting this happen. Live and learn:(I feel bad for your future clients. I feel like shit and my hair looks like absolute crap!

Thank goodness for Katie at MasterCuts. I had gone to get my hair trimmed at a Supercuts(because I thought, hell, who would be able to screw up a trim)… Basically the girl there took 2 inches more than I wanted her to, framed it around my face after I said I didn’t want that, and put layers in without asking me if I wanted them. My length was even and all the layers were completely chopped and not even close the blended. I went here to get it fixed. mainly because it got some decent reviews, but also because I had just spent money on the horrible cut and I couldn’t afford to go to a fancy salon for a $ 40 hair cut. I walked in and there was no one getting their hair cut, so all the employees were just cleaning up, or hanging out and they were all a little younger than me(early 20’s) which I actually liked because I felt like I wouldn’t walk out of there was a horrible mom-style cut. I ended up getting Katie, and she was awesome. I explained to her what happened and she was very attentive and explained to me what my options were to fix it. I told her that I was trying to grow out my hair and she did her best to keep as much length as she could, while still fixing the other girl’s mess. I ended up cutting about 2 more inches off, which I wasn’t TOO happy about but I decided I’d rather have it look nice and regrow it out then have it look like it did before. She let me keep my glasses on so I could see what she was doing and she took her time and kept checking in with me so if I didn’t like something she could change it. She was very sympathetic and had me check it from every angle imaginable and play with it before she was done, just in case there was something that I didn’t like. My hair turned out really cute! I actually really like the end result, even if it means I have to keep growing it. I can’t say anything for the other stylists because it was the first time I’d been there, but I will definitely be going back to Katie for future trims. especially since she was so understanding about my haircut anxiety.

After my stylist Amanda, my new hair diva, switched from Fusion to MasterCuts I quickly followed. I had my first appointment on a busy Saturday — there were easily over a dozen clients at once — but everything flowed very smoothly. No one seemed to be waiting around and the stylists were all very attentive, professional and friendly. I could hear the buzz around me of people ensuring they were communicating well with their clients, giving them that color/length/angle/look they wanted. It was a diverse bunch of clients at that — I saw an 8 year old girl getting a trim, middle aged women getting highlights for the new season, several teens and 20 somethings getting funky cuts and colors, and a few guys getting a trim or a new style. Everyone who walked in was served at the counter promptly; the ever-ringing phone was also answered quickly. It was truly impressive how efficient and polite these ladies were! They definitely have«slower times» during the week if you aren’t someone who wants to deal with the weekend crowd, but I came out fully satisfied with the service I received and didn’t feel like she was rushing me out. And my hair… it’s just so… AWESOME! The salon uses Pravana hairdye, which you can’t get without a cosmetology license(and it isn’t sold even in most local places that are cosmetologists-only, like CosmoProf). It’s super vibrant and everything I’ve read(yes, I research new dyes) says it’s long lasting. I got a gradient going from yellow to neon orange to pastel pink. I absolutely love it and I think the skill with which it was dyed, and the cut, look significantly more expensive than what I spent. In fact I had lunch with a hair-fussy former cosmetoligist friend(his wife, who is known for doing«alternative» hair, is still in the field and works at a very popular salon) right after and he was extremely impressed with it(as was she when she saw pictures). I was literally getting compliments from other customers before I even left the salon and immediate commentary when I re-entered the mall(oh, and at lunch, walking down the street, shopping later… lol). Yay!
