What I enjoy most about my work as a wedding photographer is the excitement of being part of a day of enormous emotional intensity. I love watching my clients and their guests, anticipating moments of peak expressiveness, and capturing those moments to tell the day’s story. I imagine that I am acting as my clients’ eyes, seeing what they are too busy to see, and then presenting my clients with intimate images of the laughter, the fun, the embraces, and the tears that have made their wedding day momentous for them and different from every other wedding that I have been privileged to shoot. Ultimately, my photography is about the spontaneous expressions and gestures that my clients will want to see again and again as they remember a cherished event.

I try very hard to stay out of the spotlight as I work. My style is to be a very careful observer as events unfold around me and to create images of those events that will be a delight to my clients, their families, and their friends.
