Hickory Ridge Golf Club

Great local course! I have been playing here for years and continue to enjoy the experience. Incredible value and the course is always in great condition. I highly recommend this course.

Very nice golf course making noticeable improvements since new ownership has taken over. Fairways and greens in really good shape (late July 2014) considering the weather we have had this year.
Very cool «Hickory Ridge» app available for a free download. Some really nice features built into the app. Range finder, course layout, comments from the pro, distance markings, etc. You even have the opportunity to contact the clubhouse from the app. Worked really well for us trying to determine if we should lay up, or go for a shot, with a stream ahead of us across the fairway. Easily able to determine the distance to trouble. Worked very well.
Couple of quirky things.
The clubhouse is built on a hill, resulting in a flight of stairs climb to the bar, restaurant, decks, etc. Restrooms back down on the lower level. Might not be a great course selection for someone who has a physical issue with stairs.
Secondly, there should be some sort of guidance/​direction/​focus from green to next tee box on many holes. Not quite sure how to fix that without an unsightly paved sidewalk disturbing the look of the course, but a few holes for sure could use something.

Golf course recently was sold to New Jersey based golf management company. The course has been undergoing some revamping. It is currently thriving with some new grounds keeping techniques and a rather dry season. The greens are getting to be pretty fast!
Currently the restaurant and bar are closed as they sort out that situation. This is probably one of the better deals in the valley. The staff are very nice and all amenities are still in intact from previous years I only see this place getting better.
