Specialties

Therapeutic, relaxation, and sports massage. Online scheduling and instantly printable gift certificates available.

I am a licensed massage therapist offering therapeutic and relaxation massage to relieve pain, reduce stress, and restore optimal functioning. I also offer sports massage for athletes of any level.

I offer custom-designed sessions tailored to address your particular needs while also relaxing the entire body. I work with you to design an individualized treatment plan to best support your health and well-being.

My technique is based in Swedish circulatory massage, and I incorporate Deep Tissue Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, body mobilization techniques, myofascial release, and hydrotherapy applications.

My practice of massage is grounded in a solid understanding of anatomy, myology (the study of muscles), and kinesiology (the study of movement).

Schedule a session online, or call, email, or text to set up an appointment. Printable gift certificates are available.

History

Established in 2006.

I have been helping clients throughout the Pioneer Valley to feel better since I opened my practice in 2006. I have worked with people on issues ranging from chronic and acute muscular pain to stress, arthritis and fibromyalgia. I have helped people with back and neck pain, frozen shoulder, sciatica, carpal tunnel syndrome, recovery from athletic injuries, and sleep difficulties.

My office is conveniently located on Main Street, just minutes from downtown Amherst, and there’s plenty of free parking. Office hours are available Monday through Saturday, and I offer evening appointments during the week.

I came to massage from a career in academia, and my practice of massage is informed by my study of Daoism, which begins from an assumption of the body’s natural tendency toward healthy functioning. I work to help restore that natural state when it has been disrupted.
