I had an awesome experience today with Jeremy at the AT&T store near Five Guys on Transit rd. I went because the 3rd phone I’ve gotten via insurance(mind you each one has had some big issues) has broken and is nearly useless. This latest one for 6 months has just delivered a lesser 4g signal than all its predecessors. I could live with that as at least all other features seemed to work. That is until last month. Now random contact information is added or deleted as I speak on the phone(proximity sensor must be failing) and calendar sync is intermittently malfunctioning. Being my 3rd phone via insurance or warranty replacement, I’m thinking I want to check out my upgrade options. Because, I sure don’t want to play recertified device roulette again. But Jeremy really went out of his way to make sure that I don’t spend money that doesn’t need spending. So instead of a sales pitch I am given a host of options to speak with asurion the insurance carrier. With that said my phone experience after that was irritating as can be, I was bounced between asurions IVR and AT&Ts IVR twice before getting a human being. And I found out I will definitely need to play recertified equipment roulette again. But at least I ran into a salesperson that was more interested in what’s best for their customer than making a sale. It was refreshing. Oh and if was to rate AT&T and asurion phone customer service it would be about a 2 star because of the hassle and the irritating, get a phone and send it back routine over the last 6 months.
