Moving is stressful, and working with Smartbox was one of the best things we did during this whole process.
During the process of selling one home and moving in to another, we needed temporary storage to «stage» the house. I looked around for possible solutions, and Smartbox was selected for price and service. The quote was the lowest, the person I spoke with was knowledgeable and kind, and they clearly knew the ins and outs of the business.
From start to finish, I could not be more satisfied.
The driver who dropped off the boxes at our home called to make sure he put them in the right place. And he showed up when he said he would. The boxes are sturdy, easily locked, easy to access, and withstood various weather changes.
Our items were stored with Smartbox for two months, and when it came time to move the moving truck went directly to the facility in Amesbury to pick up our items and bring them to the new apartment. The Smartbox rep, Dave, seemed willing to go out of his way to make it convenient for us to pick up our stored items. Seriously — he offered to come in at an off hour if that would work best for us. Who does that these days?
Billing was always concise and transparent — no hidden fees, and the one time I had a question I called and it was answered immediately.
Which makes me think of perhaps the most important part — every single time I called, a human being picked up the phone and spoke with me. My questions were always answered promptly and professionally.
After the move, I requested a full ledger of expenses to be sent for reimbursement purposes, and Dave was more than happy to help. I feel like I need to send these people flowers.
