This deserted pizza shop is epic! Pizza is so yummy! Employees so sweet, I’m definitely coming back and referring people. I work at the hotel up the street and I know guests are going to love this!

Charlie’s Pizza is housed in the gas station/mini-mart on rt 110 by the Dunkin Donuts. It was originally a Domino’s but when the gas station went under/changed ownership so did the pizza.(Good riddance). So, the place is not a sit down establishment. Strictly take-out/delivery despite the 1 table with 2 chairs in the middle of the convenience store. Now, I was fully expecting Charlie’s to be terrible. I mean: Gas Station Pizza. C’mon. With those mightily low expectations I was surprised to get a pizza with fresh mushrooms(not canned) and with a soft doughy crust. The balance was fine. The pizza was definitely more domino’s than dmitri’s and more papa john’s than papa gino’s. That is, American thick crust. Not Greek or Italian style. I doubt they’ll survive though. They are not offering a product as good as the pizza in town already and are located way out on 110. T To paraphrase Highlander: There can only by 12 pizza joints in little Amesbury. I don’t think Charlie’s is gonna cut it. pass
