Come on Unilocal quit filtering legit reviews! This business is excellent with friendly, helpful owners. The store has pretty much everything considering it’s on the edge of nowhere. I don’t find them overpriced, I do find them to be a great mom and pop business, something that is becoming a thing of the past in the face of the big WM and it’s brethren.

This is an overpriced convenience store & gas station smack in the middle of nowhere between Crystal Falls and Covington. It’s the only gas station for about 30 miles till you hit the slightly less overpriced«Hardwood Café» station at the M28/US-141 crossroads. Either way, I avoid this place. I had to stop in to get some nightcrawler bait. $ 4.50 for 2 dozen? Hey… I can get a dozen for $ 1.50 in Iron River — almost half price! My advice — don’t stop here unless you absolutely need to. I feel sorry for the Amasa locals who shop here and have to overpay. If you can go another 50 miles with the gas you got, head on to Ishpeming or Baraga to one of the Native American owned gas stations for a way better deal.
