The service by the staff is genuine and the food for the most part is delicious. But when I was unsatisfied with one sushi roll because it tasted like it was soaked in water the owner refused to take care of it because she said it would affect her food costs, it is obvious that her customers satisfaction comes second to her pocket!!! Thank you for the good food!

The sushi? Meh. Almost every roll had tempura-something with cream cheese and was drowning in siracha mayo. Not really a fish-lovers sushi spot. It’d be a decent place for someone who wants cooked rolls or is just starting out with sushi and still finds it kind of scary. If you’re a regular sushi eater, you’re probably going to leave disappointed. On the upside, all of the stuff that came out of the kitchen from the regular menu looked fantastic. We also had a very friendly and attentive waitress.

I rarely go «out to lunch» so this was a nice change of routine for me. The service was excellent, friendly, and fast. The food was amazing! I had the Mongolian Beef, and jasmine rice. Perfectly cooked, and very tasty. Waitstaff was very friendly, quick, paid attention to where they sat others, paid attention to the needs of their diners, and came by at the appropriate time to check of satisfaction. I will DEFINITELY be returning to this location. Their menu consists of expected appetizers, wok recipes, and sushi. They also have a selection of Sashimi that looked very inviting. The have a daily lunch special which gives a choice of selected wok and sushi entrees, along with soup or salad for $ 6.95.

I got food poisoning from this place. I am never going there again. I ordered a sushi roll, it was fried in the center so only the rice was«raw», i guess they don’t handle their food properly. if you have a weak stomach don’t even bother risking your health, I don’t, I’m just saying for your sake, I’m usually good to handle all types of sushi. I had to miss my first Winter formal in pharmacy school because of a roll gone wrong.

I like paying for food when I go to restaurants. It might not be the fanciest place ever but I never feel robbed whenever I go to Lemongrass. They’re Woked Gyozas are a killer feature and so far all of the sushi rolls I had have been very good. I definitely recommend.

Came here for dinner tonight with the wife for the first time and I was not impress. The place was clean and the service was okay but let’s talk about the food. Let’s just say it didn’t blow me away. We ordered a seaweed salad, the Top Ninja sushi roll, and the Fiery Chicken. The seaweed salad was ordinary and it was paired with a side salad with a sour house dressing. The ninja roll was horrible. Too much rice, too big, and too mushy. The sushi had no texture or any unique flavor whatsoever. The Fiery chicken arrived with a bowl of jasmine rice on the side. It looked good but looks can be deceiving. The chicken was definitely fried but lacked that crispness that you seek from chinese food. The chicken was so bland. I think the cook thought if you pour a sweet and spicy sauce on it, it would make the chicken flavorful but the cook was wrong. The sauce had very little flavor. All I tasted was sweet. It’s a shame. The Restaurant looked nice but the food was mediocre. This restaurant won’t cross our minds the next time we think of asian foods.

Bad customer service. I had to ask my waitress if she was my waitress so I could order. Her respond was something to the nature of «we are busy and was I ready to order». She quickly apologized however her initial response was unacceptable. I will probably never visit again. Additionally, the fish in the sushi did not taste fresh.

Second time here and I realized why I never come here. Its been about a year since I was here last time. I ordered pad thai and it came out on a side plate and they charge extra to put veggies in it. Almost $ 9 for an appetizer size entire. Summer rolls came out with hot shrimp in them and tasted funky. Anyways last time I will be eating here.

With a travel stop in Amarillo, I had resigned myself to eating iceberg lettuce salad and beans or cereal for dinner. Turns out that food choices have expanded beyond BBQ and steak! This restaurant has a full menu of Asian dishes, including vegetarian options. Also an actual sushi bar with chefs preparing it fresh. The sushi and the rice and noodle dishes were all fresh, tasty, and beautifully prepared. Don’t let the strange term«wheat rice» fool you; it’s just brown rice. And it’s good, y’all. They serve beer, wine, teas and various sodas, including Japanese. The décor is relaxing and everything is clean. Our server was energetic and attentive and waited on us at the table. The prices are reasonable. Thanks to my fellow Unilocalers for clueing us in that Amarillo isn’t just big steak country anymore.

Very friendly service and delicious beef fried rice. The beef was freshly cooked and the rice was fluffy with lovely long thin shreds of carrots. The western center roll was also tasty. Not wowed by the gyoza or edamame, but they were not bad either.

Red Hot Cajun has spicy crawfish and was awesome! Spicy Cowboy has great heat, a little crunch, and fantastic flavor. Philli is cool and yummy. The spicy tuna has a warmth that sneaks up on you, but goes well with anything. On this Friday night, they were a little more busy, but we were still able to enjoy our conversation, hear the music, and have a nice dinner. We went yesterday for a family dinner, and then again tonight for date night. We’re hooked!

The last two times I went had the same waitress and both times were very bad. Not attentive and quick to leave the table before we finished with ordering. Just awful. Never going again.

My family’s favorite sushi in town! My wife turned me on to Lemongrass Sushi and Wok last year and I am so glad she did. It has become our go-to place for sushi. My 10 year old daughter has become a sushi maniac and we owe it all to Lemongrass. My daughter’s favorite is the Amarillo roll. It comes with flank steak and cucumber but she likes to add avocado and always orders extra teriyaki on the side for dipping. My wife prefers the Tootsie Roll(tempura salmon and cream cheese) or the Sushi Lovers(a whole tempura roll with salmon and cucumber). I stray from the sushi menu and almost always order Kung Pao Beef. Lee, the owner and chef, does his kung pao a little different but I love it. Tender beef and veggies in one of the best kung pao sauces I’ve had. Their appetizers are exceptional also. Our favorites include the crabragoon(crab and cream cheese stuffed wontons) and a specialty of the house called Ten Tigers(beautifully crispy shrimp served with an amazing garlic sauce). The only problem I have found with the Ten Tigers is that I can’t seem to get enough. It is that good. The atmosphere is great for a quiet lunch of dinner. It has a modern classy feel and is very comfortable. It is great for dinner when you want to be able to visit and hear each other. The owners, Lee and Lacy, are precious and the reason we keep going back. They are super friendly and always want to make sure that every guest is satisfied. If you are lucky you might get to meet their sweet kindergarten daughter, Katie. She will definitely make you smile. Amarillo has several sushi and Asian restaurants but our favorite has got to be Lemongrass. It seems to be a bit of a secret in Amarillo and that is a shame because it is one of the most delightful restaurants in town.

Not many people know about this place, and they should! The food is priced very well and is delicious as well. It wasn’t very busy when I went, so the food not only came out quickly but service was great. I am very pleased with the sushi they have since they offer different kinds from the ordinary ones you would find at all sushi restaurants. For people looking for good Asian food, try this place out! I can’t guarantee it’s «authentic» Asian food(I have yet to find authentic Chinese food in Amarillo), but this is as close as it gets!

Great place. Fresh veggies, vegetarian options… wish I would have found this place sooner when I was visiting Amarillo, I would have dined there more often. My dinner partner hardly eats vegetables, but ate them all and loved them before digging into the tempura shrimp. Sadly, that evening they were out of edamame. Still, yummy food!

What happened? Since my last visit earlier this year, Lemongrass Sushi & Wok must have changed hands. Instead of ordering as you walk in, you are now seated at a table and a server takes your order. The booths are gone and in their place are benches. The paint is off of the walls where the old booths were, but no one bothered to touch up the paint– how sad. The sushi we were served smelled like old fish, a big indication that it was not fresh at all. Rolls were horrible. Waitress didn’t seem surprised that we didn’t like them and offered to bring us something else, but it was too late to try another potentially bad dish. Lettuce wraps were delicious however. We will scratch Lemongrass Sushi & Wok off of our list and head down the street to Bangkok Tokyo.

New restaurant here in Amarillo that FINALLY knows how to season Pad Thai(guess what you DON’T use Jalapeño peppers)!!! Very good food and though not a full fledged sit-down restaurant with booths and tablecloths, but you would not know it by the quality of the food or the service which make up for it. The service is speedy, and since it is new, it is not crowded yet. I hope that others will read this review and will give LemonGrass a try and change that however. We have been twice in the last three weekends and both my wife and I agree this place is a keeper. We have had the sushi roll, which was good, but the Wok dishes are what stand out so far for us so far. Oh, and both times in, we have had the either the manager or one of the senior staff come and talk with us at the end of the meal. Nothing pushy, just taking a sincere interest in their customer’s experience and opinion.
