Dr. Ken Comer was born and raised in Texas. He received his DDS degree from Baylor College of Dentistry in 1985. He received his undergraduate degree in Biology from West Texas State University in 1980. Dr Comer has been practicing in Amarillo for twenty years with a focus in the treatment of oral-​facial pain, endodontics, TMD, restorative, cosmetic, and Implant dentistry. Dr Comer has completed many post graduate continuing education programs to further his skill and knowledge in the practice of Dentistry.

Dr. Comer recently «tried» to put in a crown as a preventative measure on a molar. During the process, he didn’t use proper methods to assure even pressure when setting set the crown correctly, and caused me severe discomfort, lost hours of sleep, and many additional visits that took time from work. In addition, he did not listen to my comments regarding my tooth and discomfort, which meant he misdiagnosed my pain and delayed the corrective action I needed. Eventually I was forced to find another dentist, get a root canal, and have the second dentist re-​apply a new crown.
Thanks to Dr. Comer, I was able to gain the experience of getting a crown put on twice (because he did it incorrectly the first time), have a root canal (because he spent two hours grinding on the molar after taking off the first «permanent» crown and irreversibly irritated the nerves in that tooth), and spent about $ 1,900 on top of the cost for the initial crown. He refused to respond to any communication after all of this and doesn’t acknowledge any blame.

I had my teeth whitened with Zoom and have a history of dental phobia if that is the word. Trust me that this is the office to come to. I spoke with Dr. Comer personally after the whitening regarding some other work that I was considering to do in the future. and he did some looking around. He and his staff listened to my past and appreciated phobia that I live with and treated me with dignity and respect. I would recommend Dr. Comer to anyone and that says a lot given my past. I can’t wait to have him complete the dental work that he and I spoke of.
