As we were moving across the country we found this restaurant while searching for food. It’s a little bit off I-40,but soooo good. We walked in at 8:59 not knowing that they closed at 9. The kitchen said that they would stay open and they did. We didn’t feel rushed by the staff at all. We rushed because we felt bad. As for the food, it was really good. I ordered the fish tacos. The mango sauce that goes with them is really good. My husband ordered the stuffed avocado off the recommendations on Unilocal. If only our final destination wasn’t 1000 miles away I would defiantly go back.

Super friendly service and very efficient. Carnitas were excellent, not greasy at all. Definitely recommend if you’re craving some Tex-Mex. Next time I’m tackling the Chupacabra Challenge…

Chips came out already with that Mexican seasoning noise on there. Why? Why not let that be an option? Some people have cholesterol issues, homie. Plus, that stuff tastes like bunk. Salsa was whack. It tasted semi-sweet like somebody gone and spilt sugar in it. I had the Bario Burrito. I had it smothered in queso. It was basic, fam. Basic. Service was mediocre, arguably poor. The patio was nice but the cover band they had slingin’ tunes had their sh*t turned up like it wasn’t 6:30pm on a Tuesday.

Love the naked chili rellanos in the hatch green chili sauce. After moving away, I always crave chili rellanos. It’s a ritual that my dad and I have because we both only eat ours naked. Ever since we found yours, you are now the go to place for us. I’ve also had several other items in the menu and love the variety of dishes and meats and sauces.

Had the Mexican pulled pork tacos, were too salty! Daughter had the tilapia fish tacos and were luke warm, inedible! Son had chimichanga and he seemed to enjoy it, but he is 16yrs old. Husband had the big A burrito and said it was alright. Won’t return, nothing special.

Great food, great staff. One of the better Mexican food places in Amarillo. Got a Ceech & Chimichanga. Was extremely satisfied.

Every single time I eat here, the food is fantastic! It’s always fresh! Great place to eat alfresco! Inside needs something to soften the acoustics. It’s loud! The prices are very agreeable for the quality and size of servings. Staff are on top of their job!

We came at a quiet time. I ordered truck tacos: brisket, pork and chicken. All three were good. The rice was not oily at all and the beans were perfect. My daughter order flautas and they were very good.(I traded her one) my husband got the Hangover burrito/with eggs and he really liked it. Everyone was friendly and although they weren’t bothering us every minute, were on time with fresh drinks etc. we definitely will be back!

Although the waiter seemed to be having a bad day, the food was great! I had the stuffed avocado and it was delicous. It had a ton of chicken and cheese and was better than other restaurants versions.

I’ve been here before and liked it. I ordered the smothered chicken fajitas for lunch. They give you chips and hot sauce and another tomatillo/avocado sauce that is tangy and good… The chips have a touch of chili powder or paprika on them for a nice touch as well. The wait staff is good and friendly and the smothered fajitas were great! The atmosphere is nice. There are several choices of either inside or out or both… There are a few TVs around to look at.

Went with a group of 10. We had made a reservation and the table was ready and waiting with silverware, chips, and salsas. The place was busy(it was Saturday evening), but we were waited on and requests met in a reasonable amount of time. Got the queso blanco and 3 tacos. The queso was great. The tacos were good, but nothing to brag on. Other entrees at the table looked delicious and were definitely a different take on Tex-Mex fare. I’d go back…

Food was good, I had fish tacos. Nothing impressive about it, service was ok, no complaints but nothing to brag about. Hostess was shocked I didn’t call ahead for reservations, wait was 30 minutes but we ate in bar area instead of the 30 minute wait. I’m glad I had $ 50 gift card, gave waitress the rest of card for tip, we will not eat here again, not much better than Taco Bell and Taco Bell prices are a lot better.

Horrible service from my 1 time here but has potential. Had drinks(dont drink the draft.) with a big group and the shrimp brochette was great. I’ll give them another shot…

Delicious and fresh Tex-Mex! Joe Taco has a really cool patio for evenings or cooler days during the summer. Interestingly, they also allow dogs to accompany their people onto the patio, which I love! Service is always fast, even though this place gets crazy busy during mealtimes due to its proximity to all the medical offices. The staff is friendly, and for being a smaller restaurant, it doesn’t ever feel overly crowded. I love the Stuffed Avocado — stuffed with chicken and topped with their sour cream sauce. The cool thing about JT is that they have about a half dozen meats and just as many sauces that you can use to customize almost every dish to your liking! Makes for lots of different combinations to keep things interesting. They also have a delicious chicken chopped salad, fresh grilled fajita chicken, crisp greens, black bean and corn salsa, bacon, and yummy avocado ranch dressing. We LOVE this place, but keep in mind that if you go in during the lunch rush, you will most certainy have to park about 2 blocks away since their lot is very small.

Safe bet for very good but not great Mexican. The whole restaurant has a fun, bungalow/tiki/Caribbean theme to it. The menu is pretty standard chain style Mexican. It’s not a chain but it’s owned by the company that owns Macaroni Joes. I got the smothered fajitas and they were exactly what I was looking for. Soft tortillas, marinated meat, and lots of tasty sauce. It’d be hard to come to a place like this and have any complaints. Definitely a safe bet for good Mexican in Amarillo.
