Jiffy Lube

Went to get my oil changed, shortly after I had the manager call me back cause they went to check my tire pressure and the tire valve stem «just popped off»… I guess steel is just a crappy substance? My valve was not rusted and in good condition, went to Firestone and they replaced it ($ 85 later because it is hooked up to a PSI sensor) which the manager politely offered me a 7 $ coupon. I called the owner and they eventually made it right, however, the next day I had another flat tire and it turns out cause they jammed that valve stem too… It didn’t need replacing but careless technicians working there. I don’t know anything about vehicles but I trust myself replacing my engine before I let them touch my dip stick again!

Not again! I’ve had bad luck at Jiffy Lube in Los Angeles with the sales person lying to me and then here again in Amarillo. How does a $ 24.99 advertised special oil change turn out to be $ 82? They tell you that you have to have a certain type of oil or it voids the warranty, they don’t apply the coupons for the special and tell you that it’s programmed into the computer, etc. After I complained that I asked for the $ 24.99 special and that no one told me about the surcharge on the synthetic blend, the rep at least made a partial price correction. However, the normal Signature Service includes synthetic oil and there is a $ 7 off coupon at their website which I would have taken advantage of if I wanted to pay full price for synthetic oil. Needless to say, I am not happy! The service techs were awesome and did everything I asked for, AND that’s the only reason that I didn’t give 1 star. I will not return to Jiffy Lube. My sister loves them, so it’s a ⁵⁰⁄₅₀ with our family. All I can say is be sure you know exactly what you are getting and don’t let them try to up-​sell you on anything. Oh, and make sure you know how to reset you oil maintenance reminder light — they didn’t reset mine before I drove out.

Vehicles in need of inspection beware! This Jiffy lube is trying to run a scam! William Lavrar will fail your vehicle inspection on grounds of a cracked serpentine belt. The serpentine belt is not part of Texas state inspection. He will offer to fix for 90 dollars. Do not let him fix it for you. More than likely your belt is perfect. Tell him you will fix it yourself and take it to another place of inspection.

Speed is not their thing, me and 1 other guy, he was already here, basic oil change, 45 minutes! Crazy

These guys were awesome! If I lived in Amarillo I would make the drive to them for my oil change. My maintenance light came on while driving to Colorado and we stayed overnight in Amarillo. So I did a search for the nearest oil change by our hotel and thank God I went to these guys. So nice, did an excellent job, cleaned the thousands of bugs on my windshield and checked all my fluid levels. My only complaint would be that maybe they thought I would do any service they felt my car needed because I am a woman and know nothing about cars.
