History

Established in 1984.

Dr. Anthony Bass and Dr. Tyler Smith are both proud to say that they are «locals». Dr. Bass describes himself a Panhandle «boy», fifth generation on both sides of his family as far back to 1882. Dr. Smith is from Panhandle, Texas and spent his whole life there until attending Texas Tech University and graduating Summa Cum Laude.

Dr. Bass attended Texas A &M University. Then to what he refers to a «divine intervention», he went to The University of Houston College of Optometry where he discovered a real love for optometry and his wife.

Dr. Smith has always had an interest in healthcare. He also attended The University of Houston College of Optometry and graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2011. Dr. Smith trained at the V. A Hospital in Albuquerque, with further training in pediatric vision therapy in Lubbock.

Dr. Bass began practicing in 1973 and was instrumental in building Coulter Professional Center Building in 1984. He was delighted to welcome Dr. Smith to the practice in the summer of 2
