History

Established in 1976.

Autco opened in 1976 to be a distributor for Uniroyal tires in Woflin Village.

After 34 years Mark McCoy still remains president of the company surrounded by one of the most experienced and qualified staffs in the business. Bill Sweitz, shop foreman, has been with Autco for over 20 years,

Autco Tire opened its doors in February of 1976. Mark M. started as Autco’s lead technician and by 1982 owned 100% of the business. A THS and AC graduate he has always pursued to give Amarillo the finest possible tire buying experience. Mark has served on the local Ambucs board, has been president of the Texas Tire Dealers Association, served on the local Ducks Unlimited Board, and has been on advisory committees with Ford Motor Company, Amarillo College, and Yellow Book.

Currently, Mark is pursuing the development of the Texas Panhandle Tire Pros where consumers can buy from cerified local tire dealers and receive home town service with the competitive pricing of the big chains along with superior nationwide warranties and free roadside assisstance.
