In the State of Texas locksmiths are required to have locksmith licenses issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety/​Private Security Bureau. In order to be licensed one must pass an FBI background check and prove they have education, experience, and insurance coverage.

The State has issued an authorization form we must have filled out before we can open a vehicle or a structure. By asking to see a state issued picture ID we know the customer has the authority to enter the property. This measure of security is implemented to protect the customer and the locksmith. While this process is a State law it is often an irritation to our customers. Please bear with us.

Gabrielle Stanhope owns Alpha Lock Amarillo, INC. As a woman owned business owner Gabrielle oversees safe sales and accounts payable and receivable. Being a woman Gabrielle sees customer service from a woman’s perspective.
