History
Established in 1992.
Our two knife-makers have 30 years each in hand making knives as a full time occupation. Both started working for a small knife shop that was founded in 1874 called AJ Harris & sons in Cedar Rapids Iowa.
The traditions of quality and craftsmanship were passed down to us from our time working there. Harris Knife closed in 1990 and Custom Cutlery was born. We became official when we incorporated in 1992.
Our business is a true case of be careful of what you wish for … it just might come true.
