I ordered some coil springs for my 1965 mustang and asked one of their employees which ones he recommends using after doing the Shelby 1″ drop and he said to get the 620lb 1“lowering springs from Traction Master Company that they sell and currently had in stock. So I ordered a set and waited 10 days to get them since they are on the east coast and I’m in the Seattle area and with no one else having them in stock. So I wait 10 days and finally get them, wham they’re the wrong ones… they sent me Scott Drake brand coil springs, which I could get from anyone on the west coast and for free shipping. Plus, I didn’t want Scott Drake brand coil springs, I wanted the ones that I ordered and the ones that they said they had in stock.
I called up today, the guy I talked to, Terry, said oh no we haven’t had those in stock for awhile so we just ship another brand when we don’t have those in stock. That’s a bit sketchy for me, receiving a brand of product that you didn’t order. I’ve never been impressed with Scott Drake products and wouldn’t order any, so that was my concern for not wanting them. So Terry asks why I ordered from them, I told him that they were about the only ones who had these coil springs in stock. At which point he says, «ah, so you knew these were hard to find and still ordered them anyway?» Um yes, when your employee or co-​worker says they have the TMC brand springs in stock, I kind of have to take his word on it as I’m about 3k miles away from your location. He said I could return the springs but I’d still have to pay for the shipping back to them, at $ 30 or more, but he was «going to be nice and not charge me the 20% re-​stocking fee.» Be nice? Your co-​worker told me the wrong information and your company sent me another brand of parts that I wasn’t supposed to receive, nothing nice about that. I won’t be ordering parts from you again

I recently ordered a set of Hipo exhaust manifolds from this company and selected 2 day air for delivery. I received confirmation for my order and was expecting them on or around the 3^rd day. I didn’t recieve a shipping email on the day I expected the parts to arrive, so I called the company back to get an update on the status of my order. I was told, «oh our website isn’t linked to our inventory, we don’t have any of those». When I explained how unsatisfactory it was that the website shows them available and they didn’t contact me to let me know they wouldnt be shipping the parts, I was told «what do you want us to do, make you a set of manifolds.»
I am restoring a 65′ fastback and have ordered THOUSANDS of dollars worth of parts from many suppliers and never had such unsatisfactory performance from a company. All I needed was an email or phone call telling me that the parts I ordered were not in stock. I will vote with my wallet and never purchase another item from these guys. They probably won’t care though, they don’t seem to care about the customer.

Vintage Shelby Mustangs are true works of automotive art. .. what I wouldn’t give to have a ’68 GT500KR, one of the 6 ’66 GT350 Convertibles, or a ’69−70 GT500 with all the luxury trimmings and a 428 Cobra Jet. Sure, Carroll disowned the later Shelbys with their gaudy fake scoops and luxury interiors, but those things oozed attitude, and the ’69-’70 Shelbys still look incredible today.
I just ordered a 351w finned cobra-​style oil pan from these guys, and it was the cheapest price I could find by about $ 30, and shipping was only about $ 35 from PA to CA. A beautiful piece of functional automotive bling, this 7.5-qt pan holds a lot of oil and keeps it cool with heat-​dissipating aluminum and fins. I’m glad these are finally available for the 351w-​based engines, and these guys are definitely the ones to order it from. No Cobra logo, but that’s because Carroll probably wanted a little kickback on the Cobra name. ..
