Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Altoona

This Microtel is beautiful and clean! It is also pet friendly which gives it a gold star in my book. It has recently opened but if you ask me, they have it all together already! The staff is super friendly and accommodating. The room we stayed in was very spacious. They do have a pool that is handicap accessible which is another gold star! If we are ever traveling to Altoona again we will definitely be booking our stay here!

I would definitely recommend staying in this hotel if you are passing through or staying in Altoona. I believe it it brand new, just a few months old. We got discounted rates through a third party reservation, so it was a great deal for us to stay 1 night. The rooms are a good size, with a sitting area divided from the bed which made the bed area feel more private. Plenty of drawer/​hanging space for clothing if you were to stay multiple nights. Bathrooms were clean. Service was excellent, everyone was friendly– There was a mistake with our booking upon check –in (somehow we were booked for two rooms when we only requested one, but the receptionist cancelled it on the spot.) Breakfast in the morning was your typical continental breakfast — bagels, yogurt, cereal, scrambled eggs, basic fruit, etc. Plenty of room to sit and wasn’t crowded during our stay. Overall, a very nice hotel– will definitely stay again when in the area! Very close to several shopping plazas/​restaurants.
