Food is good. Wings are great. Beer is cheap. Come on in people the water is fine. Always a must stop for me when I’m up this way.

Average Sports Bar. Burgers were just OK. Service was slow. There are better choices in the Alton/Godfrey Area. Will go to Reagle Beagle next time.

This bar is a laid back place to come hang out with friends and grab a drink or bite to eat. Great for small groups. The drinks are good and fair priced. The food is really good. Get the appetizers. The heap them on and there was enough for two of us to enjoy.

This place probably has the best burger I’ve eaten in town. They have an expansive lunch and dinner menu though we’ve generally stick with the bar fare. The 2⁄3 pound pretzel burger with fries is what it’s all about. Give them a try, you might just be glad you did.

Who needs Buffalo Wild Wings? This place is very retro. Lots of wood panelling and old school décor. Perfect for a baseball connoisseur looking for a peaceful place to watch the game. This place is for dude who prefer 60-year-old barber shops over Supercuts. Food is fantastic. Nothing tastes frozen and all is hearty. Our waitress was physically attractive and intuitive to our eating progress. This place the great. Highly recommended from a picky out-eater.

We wanted a place to sit outside, have some drinks and food to watch the Cardinal game. Yeah, we did find a seat outside on the patio. FYI they have two patios, one is outside and the other is covered and they let people smoke in the covered patio… YUCK. Of course the place was a little busy, but HOLYCOW the world’s WORST waitress. She kept forgetting to bring things like a glass, plates, our drink orders… You get the idea. The only thing I can say was they had three TV’s and the Cardinals won. I was invited to a business luncheon at the Sports Tap. This place has recently had new management. We were in the back banquet room. Very nice, it looks like it would seat around 100 people with a podium and microphone .The food was a nice salad, the lettuce was shredded so one could talk and not have lettuce hanging out of your mouth. We had tomatoes, cheese, bacon bit and three types of salad dressing. Next grilled chicken breast or a grilled marinated boneless pork chop. What a nice change of pace. Au gratin potatoes, corn, steamed green beans and a dinner roll completed the buffet. This was very tasty. I will have to go back to review the inside and the menu options.

Not quite sure what the draw is here at all. Average food at best. There are a lot of TVs however, it doesn’t really feel like you are at a sports bar. It is more like a cross between a sports bar circa 1980 and a diner. Needs an upgrade!

Good place to grab some grub and catch a game… The food is usually pretty good, but the last time I was there, it was just ok. We had a new waitress who was a little clueless, but she was still learning, but not horrible. They have a separate non-smoking room, which I like. They have a good selection of beers available and some decent options for food.

Alton sports tap is awesome! They have the best food. Their burgers are fresh not frozen, and there steaks are Black Angus Beef. Sports Tap is famous for their hot wings, and fried fish. Their prices are very reasonable. The restrooms are always clean, and the service is always been good. You will not be disappointed.

½ lb Pretzel Burger $ 6.99 need I say more? Yes. It is super-yummy. I also like the breaded califlower. There isn’t very much else I can say. The food is good, I just don’t like the ambiance that much.
