02/10/2015, Tuesday night around 7:00 pm. I have had good experiences at many checkers locations around central Florida. I love Checkers hot dogs! Always hot and the buns are really fresh My favorite location is on the South Trail. There is another good one at West Colonial Drive but… At the Altamonte Checkers I ordered up two dogs and got them out of the wrapper they were barely warm how is that possible? Do they keep the food hot in there? I ordered mustard and onions. that’s pretty simple. I got onions all over the outside of the bun and no mustard but plenty of catsup. The dogs looked like they were smashed in the wrapper. There is no way I would take that back I’m sure things would have gone from bad to worse. People working inside did not look happy. Somebody has attitude? or does not want repeat customers? I’m not sure if this was on purpose or just a bad night but you wont see me there until things change.

I’m really surprised by some of these bad reviews. My husband and I are pretty busy so we normally do checkers once to two times a month. I must say, I love their burgers and cheese fries. Myself and my husband have always had friendly, polite service. My order has always been correct and complete and my food cooked perfectly. With how close it is to our house it’s a great choice for us and it’s cheap. No complaints.

I’m leaving feedback concerning the events of October 17th2014 on or around 11:08PM. This was Check number: 20289. The manager on duty was«AJ» and the drive thru employee was«Ny’Quria R’. The order consisted of a Bacon Roadhouse Burger, four piece chicken strips, eight piece spuds and fries with ranch dip. After my passenger and I ordered we approached the drive through window. Ny’Quria took payment from my master card and immediately told me to «Back my car up behind the red pole to stop the clock.» I’m not sure what she meant but I back my car behind the role pole as instructed. A few moments passed and she motioned me to the drive thru window and then instructed me to «Drive into the parking lot and wait for my order.» I asked her why and she said because«We needed to stop the clock.» I told Ny’Quria since there are no cars behind me that I would wait for the food. Ny’Quria then told me that I «Needed to move.» I told her I would wait at the drive thru window and I was not comfortable with moving and I would wait for the food I paid for. Ny’Quria said that they were making chicken and it would take five minutes. Ny’Quria then slammed the drive through window and went to her manager who identified himself by the name of «AJ». AJ argued with me and told me that«I didn’t want to mess with him.» and that«You don’t want to have any problems with me. You need to move your car like I said.» My passenger asked why he was speaking in such an aggressive tone and the manager replied«If you don’t move I’m going to refund your money.» I told AJ if he refunded my money that I would like a printed itemized receipt so I could contact his manager. AJ told me that«There is no one I can complain to, no district manager.» AJ closed the window and about 12 minutes passed before I was handed the items that I paid for by Ny’Quria. Because of the aggressive tone of the manager and the drive thru employee slamming the window I checked the bag. Two out of the five items were missing.(The ranch sauce and fries.) During this whole exchange there were a line of cars honking and yelling for faster service. Later when I was home upon inspecting my Bacon Roadhouse Burger I noticed that RAW bacon was put on the burger. Again this bacon was uncooked. I have saved the bacon and I’m looking into taking this LabCorp here in Altamonte Springs to determine if I was served uncooked food.

This is a 2x a month stop. The wings here are surprisingly good. I get the asian kick flavor and they’re great. Very friendly employees too. Faster and friendlier than BK and McD’s!

Worst place ever! Never ever go. Service is terrible. People are INCREDIBLY rude! Will never be back! Bad bad bad! Overcharged us then when we confronted them to fix it they said no, to take what they gave us. Eventually they budged and said we will get our refund back. We’ll see if it ends up back on our card. Never again will I EVER go! Terrible experience all around. Even the good was terrible!

Every time I go I get incredibly rude service and twice they have forgotten to give me at least one item. The drive-thru speaker doesn’t work properly, but god forbid you ask the folks to repeat themselves because you’ll just annoy them further. They slammed the drive-thru windows shut and got angry when I waited at the window to check my order. I used the feedback link of the restaurant website each time I was not given my proper order. The first time, I got a call back from a clearly-agitated manager. The second time, I received no response. Avoid if you can. If you must go, don’t let them hurry you along without checking your order is 100%.

Never again. I’ve never had good service at this location. More often than not the person taking my order could barely hear me, or I them, because off all the background noise inside. The last time the order taker was having a conversation with another employee and not even listening to me. The last two times I’ve been to this location(I will not be back) the food has made me VERY sick. I was not even halfway through my burger this last time when I knew that something was wrong. Between the lackluster service, the poor food quality, and getting sick twice I will NOT be back again.

There isn’t anything wrong with Checkers. Their food is in my opinion better than mcdonalds or burger king, and their fries are seasoned and really tasty. I got the fry lovers burger(they put fries on the burger), and it was really good. I didn’t know what to expect when I bought it, I figured if I didn’t like it, I could take the fries off, but it was actually really tasty, and I’d definitely get it again. All of the food is really good. It’s nice that they have the two drive thrus, so you can get in and out quick as well, but usually if it’s nice, we’ll order at the window so we can sit outside.

Although I rarely grab any kind of fast food sober or before 4AM, I have hit up the Checkers drive-thru on several occasions when I am in a hurry for lunch. The several times I have been here have always been before the 12:00PM lunch hour, so I cannot speak as to the long lines in the drive-thru as I have never experienced more than a 5 minute wait. The staff are always quick to give me those delicious crispy seasoned french fries and double cheeseburger. My order has always been correct, but I always check it before leaving the drive-thru window(why would you wait to check at home??). Checkers is by no means on par with a quality burger like Oblivion for instance, but they make a decent burger, awesome fries and shakes, at reasonable prices! And the food is delivered to you in a matter of minutes! This is a must stop when you are in a rush near Altamonte and looking for an alternative to McDonalds.

Kind of unbelievable. Just a few days after my nightmare experience, it’s Xmas Eve and there aren’t many options for food at 10:00pm…so my wife and I go end up giving Checker’s another try. This time there was a completely different crew and we ordered a value meal plus 20 wings. Get back to where we are staying, and I see I only have _16_wings in the box. Two times in a short few days they have completely botched my order, something I don’t think I’ve ever encountered. This one was a much smaller issue than the last, but when compounded it just made us even more upset. So I had to leave my wife and son eating by themselves(on XMASEVEN) while I drove back(which costs gas $ + time) and got my order fixed. The only good thing that came out of this is that the person who helped me at the window(who happened to be the manager after I asked for one) was much, much nicer and more apologetic than my first experience(where the whole crew should be fired, IMO). I was ready to demand another refund going up to the windows, but felt he was trying to do what he could to make me feel better so I just asked for a fresh order of 20 wings. This said, and while his conduct was great, I still had to wait and was not asked if I wanted even a drink while I waited. There should always be consideration that when they botch an order like this I have to waste more of their customer’s time and also more of their money(gas isn’t free) and should be doing things to make up for it. I would have said no to something as simple as a drink, but it should have been a no-brainer to do something to ease the passing time. And it would have made a better impression. Anyhow, this location still gets a big F+ overall. Would be F– without the manager’s sincereness this time around. Next time I know to count my wings, which is pretty pathetic.

I was very impressed by the service I got here. There was one man inside working both windows and cooking the food as well. My hat is off to him because he did a better job than some places that are fully staffed. My boyfriend and I got the Big Buford(2 for 5 dollars) 2 med drinks(for 3 dollars) and 1 medium seasoned fries. The total was 12 dollars. very good prices. We got to the window and received everything in under a minute. Everything was hot, fresh, and delicious. The topping were very fresh. As I bit into my burger I could even hear a crunch of the toppings. Very moist and juicy burger. The fries were just as good. The medium drinks are massive. I wish I knew the name of the one man wrecking crew because he tore the house down and got people in and out of the drive thru. He worked quickly and efficiently. He even had enough time to be courteous and nice as well. I have never seen someone in that environment work so hard. If i go back(correction WHEN I go back) I am definitely giving him a tip if he is there and I receive the same great customer service. I am definitely a fan…
