I have been looking for a good barber in the area for a few days. Came across these guys on Unilocal and Facebook. I called the number and a young man answered. I told him I needed a cut ASAP. He got me the next morning at 7 am. Very happy with the cut and service.

My 10-​year-​old HATES going to the barber. But after Rashad cut his hair, he actually said «I’d come back here. Rashad is really nice.» as we were walking out. It was a great cut and great experience.

I was referred by my best friend to see D.L. My best friend told me that D.L. was the best. I put it on God that D.L. truly is the best! D.L. provided me with beyond excellent customer satisfaction and made me feel comfortable enough to talk about personal things I don’t even share. The way he cuts hair is amazing! He’s precise, cuts your hair just the way you want it, and is reasonable. Besides getting hair cut he is also a humble, kind, genuine, and selfless person. He will look out for you but also make you happy to call him a friend. He really makes you feel like you’re at home when you visit his shop. I know for sure he will be seeing more of me. If you have the chance, see D.L. You won’t regret it!

I have driven past this barber shop a million times but never stopped in. I finally called because I desperately needed a full on shape up. I wear my hair natural in a teased, but tapered fro. I was reluctant initially to go because barber shops tend to want to cut women’s hair too masculine. However, Chris reassured me over the phone and when I arrived that he knew exactly what I needed. He is extremely personable, professional, and won’t cut your hair like a dude. Which is not a good look if you’re a female. My mother and I walked out extremely satisfied. The shop is also very clean, and comfortable, with a great ambiance! I’ll be going back and I highly recommend Chris to any woman needing to maintain a short and natural look.

It was the evening before i left for vacation. Without an appointment I stop by the barbershop. Given it was 7pm Shaddi (the barber) was able to stay late and accommodate me. Overall i was happy with the fresh cut for my vacation. I highly recommend Shaddi.

This barber shop has been a staple in the Altadena community. DL has cut every male family member I have, and some ladies. My son has only been to this shop and has only had one barber. It’s everything a barber shop should be. It has atmosphere, great conversations, and most of all very talented artist of hair. All ages, all genders, all races should experience «the shop» one time.

I love this place! DL is fantastic. His customer service abilities are out of this world. He really knows how to take care of people and he gives the best cut I have had in 30 years. I recommend this place – I know in doing so I am going to make my wait longer but it is well worth it. I come 15 miles just to get my hair done. I’d go 50 miles if I had to. I have seen the work of the other stylists here and I can say that they are all good. It is a place to come, relax, and leave looking great.

My Dad came into see Rashad. Gave him a proper cut and cleaned him up. My dad is very happy and so are we! He will be back. Great stylist!

Needed an emergency haircut at 10pm on a Thursday night. DL hooked me up with not only an emergency cut, but one of the best cuts I’ve had in recent years. And I wasn’t even expecting it.

Found this shop for the hubs. Friendly guys all around super nice. Dian did an amazing job on my husbands hair! Not cheap but def worth every penny for my hubs to stay looking good!

Our experience here was so great. Dian spent 45 minutes patiently detangling my son’s long hair, without one scream. He has such a way with kids and the cut is fantastic!

As a woman, its been a struggle to find a barber to give me a decent cut. I’ve been rocking a close bald fade for a while now and I owe all the credit to Josh. The boy is good. Hands down the best barber on the PLANET.
Yes. I went there.
I showed up on a Friday around 5pm apparently when the shop was at his busiest. (I should’ve known better”). Josh immediately greeted me and asked me if I had an appointment with someone. Of course I didn’t, so he volunteered to cut me after he finished the guy in his chair (he was finishing off a SICK mohawk). When it was my turn Josh immediately took me to the shampoo bowl. I told him my hair was already clean but he said it was a part of his process… at no extra charge! How awesome is that? And he used quality product!
When we got back to the chair, he asked what I wanted. I’m not too keen on the barbering terminology yet so I told him I wanted it low and faded out in the back. Can I tell you guys that this man went to work?! It was like he was reading my mind! I absolutely LOVED my cut and will be bringing my husband and 2 sons back this weekend!
Did I mention that he accepts appointments?

I’ve sampled many shops across the US and there are very few barbers who I would consider to have, for lack of a better word, the «gift» and Kylan tops the list. In my humble opinion, hands down, the best barber out there – period.

It’s not the fact that I had to wait eons for my beard to get shaped up, i’m not upset. It’s not because we got into a heated Religious debate, I actually enjoy a good discussion. I’m agitated because after all this drama to get my face lined up, homeboy cut me wrong! I told him verbatim to take my beard down, don’t touch my goatee. He said «You want a shadow no touch goatee.» I repeated myself this time saying «Yes, give me the shadow but DON’T TOUCH my goatee». He said the same thing that I just told you know so I thought I was in the clear.
The first thing he does is take down my chops, then the beard, then ZZzzz! There goes the goat! I look at him he looks at me AND THEN he walks outside! And he’s gone for about ten minutes. He comes back in finishes the job, doesn’t explain why he left, doesn’t apologize for leaving mid cut, slaps my hand goodbye.
I don’t mean to sound flippant but he played me dirt.

I went in last week and saw D.L. He the man. This was seriously the first haircut I liked in years. He did exactly what I wanted and I couldn’t have been happier. No question where I’m going from now on. The atmosphere is relaxed and everyone seemed really friendly. The place always seems packed morning till night. They are definitely doing it right.

I love this place! It’s a combination of your typical African-​American barbershop with a touch of sophistication. Although there are many non-​black patrons as well. The décor is very well done and the atmosphere friendly & relaxing. As a woman, I have no problem going there. All of the men are very respectful. The prices are reasonable and all of the barbers are highly skilled. My barber Rashad even has his cosmetology license so that he can offer a wide variety of services. I highly recommend it. =)

I had an appointment in burbank and I needed to get a trim before. I used Unilocal to find this place and I’m glad I did. The fellas there are very inviting. You walk in and instantly, its like your family. I was there for 2hrs (which isn’t bad for a barbershop on a Saturday). There was constant laughter and stories being told. The whole shop took part in the conversation. If I’m in the area and need a trim I’m going there.
I saw about 5 peoples hair before my turn and I didn’t see one bad haircut. All haircuts are 25. That’s a lil more then I’m used to but it was well worth it.

Best barbershop in Pasadena /​Altadena area. Quality cut for a reasonable price. Get ready to laugh cuz these guys are hilarous!
