History

Established in 2013.

At Pizza of Venice we believe in homemade and locally sourced ingredients. We home cure meats, prepare our own beef chorizo and pork pepperoni, braise our lamb for hours, shop at local farmer’s markets, pickle our Shishito peppers, and hand cut our ingredients to the perfect size. Pizza of Venice believes in chef creativity and food sustainability which is why our menu often changes due to seasonality, ingredient availability and chef inspiration.

We choose to sell «limeades» instead of soda. Pizza of Venice «limeades» are a delicious infusion of house squeezed limes, seasonal blended farmer’s market fruits, and water sweetened to perfection. Pizza of Venice believes in supporting local business which is why we shop at local farmer’s markets well and partner with local businesses to bring fun events to the community.

At POV we bring «Pizza with a Point of View» to the local community.

Meet the Business Owner

Jamie W.

Business Owner

Los Angeles, a melting pot of cultures and lifestyles spawned Chef Jamie Woolner. He grew up with the sand of Venice Beach between his toes, breathing Los Angeles hickory barbeque smoke like air. Born in Culver City, his childhood home doubled as an urban farm. His mom was ahead of her time. The house sported free-range rabbits, chickens and quail with an abundance of produce. In that tiny, overgrown back yard garden was lettuce, snap peas, tomatoes, and exotic varieties of thyme. Several citrus and stone fruit trees lined the property. Chef Jamie always felt comfort in farmers’ markets, and attained his first employment there, selling oil and vinegar. Taco trucks, ethnic markets and the innumerable Los Angeles restaurants echo the diversity of his family and inform Chef Jamie’s food.
