There’s no need to wait for hours in an uncomfortable salon, we bring salon service right to your door. Our treatment is exactly the same as a salon treatment, but so much more private and convenient!

In-​home service is also less expensive. We don’t charge a per head fee to check for lice, and we never extend treatment times to meet our salon overhead.

I’m Hilary Scofield and I’m the owner of Bugalooz. I’m the mother of three beautiful children, and years ago they all had lice. We struggled for months to eliminate it, but nothing completely worked. That’s when I knew there had to be a better way! As the former co-​founder and owner of The Hair Angels, I have over 7 years of industry experience and have treated and managed the treatment of thousands of people. I’m passionate about helping others, that’s why I started my own company, Bugalooz!

Super accommodating, Hilary made it extremely easy us for us, adjusting to our schedule, following up to see how we were all doing, top notch service. So very convenient! Hillary is such an amazing person! I’m am so grateful for this company and really LOVE the fact they’re in my neighborhood! Hillary and her team are VERY knowledgeable in all things «LICE». The technician she sent to my home was super sweet and did an amazing job at removing the lice from my daughters hair… I learned a few things from Hillary and her sweet employee (I forgot to get her name) that I can use in the future (if needed). Great Company, Great People all around, I’m so glad I called and had Bugalooz pay us a visit! Hilary and her team are awesome. We received the dreaded call from school that our child had lice. Hilary was at school doing the checks and set me up with an appointment for in home removal that morning! The technician she sent over was professional, well versed on all things lice and super sweet to my child. It took at total of a little over an hour to remove all lice and nits and check my child’s entire head. She has long, thick hair. Received a follow up text the next morning and are all set for our re-​check in 5 – 7 days. Hope to never have this problem again, but if we do, we will be calling Bugalooz again.

Hilary and her team are fantastic. They are kind and professional and respond quickly. When my daughter had lice, I tried treating her myself but found the process to be overwhelming. Hilary is amazing! I have three boys, and when my youngest came home with a head full of lice, I totally panicked! I am just thankful I knew about bugalooz and their in home service!
I’ve only had a lice problem with the kids one other time (it seems to be rather common when kids go to public school!) and I used those ridiculous store kits, but this last time was a nightmare and having Hilary come to the home to do a service was so much more convenient and surprising affordable!
I have to admit, looking at my youngest son’s lice infested head totally creeped me out and I was freaking about what to do, because I wasn’t sure just a store treatment box would cover this epic infestation! Then I remembered Hilary’s service! She came and our horrible event turned into an actually pleasant experience with no tears.
If you have kids, you know sometimes, our little angels come home with unwanted «friends», and I’m so glad for a service like bugalooz to make the experience both stress free and affordable! Thank you Hilary, you rock!

What a lifesaver! The in-​home service is so great! Hilary is the best and the products she uses are wonderful. I couldn’t believe it when my kids got lice! Of course I freaked out! All sorts of things were running through my head… my kids aren’t dirty, oh I’m gonna have to wash everything… how could this happen? And oh no my youngest son has big curly hair. So I turned to Unilocal and started calling lice experts. I had no idea what to expect because the last experience I’ve had with lice was when I was a child, and back then, there were no lice experts. When I called, Hilary was so kind and very calm. She came to my house to check all of us and was so professional and informative. I’m so happy that I chose this service over another one that told me to shave my sons curly hair that I love. He still has his beautiful hair and no lice! So so so happy!

Super professional and personal service. I was completely freaking out that I potentially had lice and Mary calmed me down and made me feel comfortable. Fortunately I was lice free and was grateful and relieved that I had the reassurance that only a professional provides. I was also thankful for the convenience of having it done in my own home. I found lice on my little girl and was terrified. I had no idea what to do. After calling two other local lice removal services I called Bugalooz. Let me first start out by saying that since my daughter started Kindergarten she has worn her hair in a braid w/​hairspray because I am so paranoid of Lice. I have a little bit of a bug phobia and when those microscopic bugs become the size of fruit flies and I saw them crawling in my child’s hair for the first time well let’s just say that I was hysterical! I read every website about Lice and Lice removal that is out there. I got the RID and we sat there for 2 ½ hours combing her long thick hair out with that joke of a Nit removing comb that comes in the box. She cried and I cried it was not pretty. After reading about how they are so hard to get rid of and that you have to get all of the Nits in order to avoid a relapse etc I was overwhelmed. Then my sis n law told me about this service that does all the dirty work for you. So I looked them up and found Bugalooz. My Angel came to my house that night just to do a free check. If she didn’t find anything then she wasn’t going to charge me. Of course I set up the apt. After she checked my daughter and showed me all of the Nits that I left behind I was sold. She cleaned my daughter and I both. It took 4 hours. We have a lot of really long hair. When I saw how thorough she was and how the bowl was clean after her last pass of the comb I was relieved. Not just relieved, she saved my life. I was so paranoid of my house being infested and of us not being able to get rid of these pests. I was literally sick over it. I’m not a bug person! Thank God for Hilary and Bugalooz and the service that they provide. Thank God for my «Angel» She was so patient and so reassuring. It’s well worth it for the peace of mind that I received. My first good night’s sleep in the last 24 hours. I definitely recommend Bugalooz to everyone! I love you Bugalooz!

A friend of mine recently found out that her teenage daughter had head lice, yuck! it wasn’t so bad because it wasn’t just her but a few of her friends also had them so she didn’t feel so ostracized. Her school referred her to Hilary and Bugalooz. My friend was so embarrassed she didn’t want me to tell anyone but I thought it was worthwhile to give a shout out to the people at Bugalooz because if you’ve never dealt with head lice it can be very intimidating and kind of embarrassing (although it shouldn’t be, it’s way more common than you’d think). Anyway, what an awesome service! They came to her house, they checked everyone, they treated her daughter and totally took away any anxiety they had. They received a ton of great information, and the best part was that they were able to do it without my friend losing a moment of her time. Who knew getting rid of lice could be so easy. Thank goodness for Bugalooz!

I discovered lice on my son at the worst possible time, but Bugalooz made it all so easy! We had never had a lice incident before and when my son came to me saying that he had «sand» in his hair, I took a look and thought… hmmmm…
I didn’t want to use chemicals on his head, and I knew I needed a professional. I called in the evening and was surprised to hear a voice on the other end. Hilary was so calm, she asked me to describe the «sand» and determined that we did have a lice problem. She sent someone over first thing the next morning and we were all checked. I freaked out when I found out I had it too, but our Bugaloo told me that it was common and pretty soon we were all clear. I love how thorough she was, and we even received a certificate to show we were treated and clear. I would recommend Bugalooz to anyone who has lice– skip the chemicals and call them instead! Thank goodness for Bugalooz! When I got that dreaded notice from our school that lice was going around and that we should get a lice check for both our daughters, Hilary responded to my panicked phone call immediately. I called her after I got home from work so it was pretty late in the afternoon, but she still came over, and (unfortunately for one of my daughters) completed the home service to rid my daughter’ s scalp of those pesky lice. She was totally professional, calmed me down about the situation, and in the end even made me laugh about it! I don’t wish head lice on anyone, but if you do find yourself needing this service, Hilary and is the one you want to call!

I became aware of Hilary Scofield’s strong work ethic and commitment to serving others through our mutual charity work over the past decade. Lucky for the world (or at least the Greater Pasadena area), she is bringing that same dedication to the difficult topic of lice removal. No one is excited to have to deal with lice, but Hilary is definitely the gal to call if you have need. She is an outstanding business woman — organized, intelligent, and knowledgeable. But more important, she is a wonderful person who cares for others in a special way. Children and parents alike will feel comfortable and at ease in her presence. We“re so grateful to Bugalooz. The last time we had lice we went to a salon but having the service done in our house was so much better.
We needed several people checked which the salon charged for per head. For in home service the checks were Included in the hourly rate. Since they only took a few minutes we saved money. We were also able to relax and get Cleaning done instead of having to wait around for hours. Our Bugaloo was super quick. She treated my girls in no time and had us all laughing at her stories. My youngest even asked her to come to her birthday party! If you ever get the dreaded CALL, do yourself a favor and call them. You won’t be sorry!
