History

Established in 1934.

Altadena Hardware has been serving Altadena for over 80 years. Established by the family of Don Thomas and owned with his wife Shirley Harrington, the business was sold in 2010 to local residents, Jim and Paula Orlandini with their son Jimmy. The Orlandini family have also owned Newland True Value Hardware in El Sereno, Los Angeles for over 40 years. The store is managed by Jimmy Orlandini.

Jimmy Orlandini has over 15 years of hardware experience, gaining first-​hand experience at an early age in his dad, Jim Orlandini Senior’s Newland True Value Hardware in El Sereno, LA. Jimmy’s wife, Alison also works at Altadena Hardware and they recently purchased a home in the neighborhood.
