History

Established in 1994.

Gopher-​B-​Gone has an interesting history. My dad owned a lawn care company in which he would take care of gophers. Occasionally, he would get calls on them outside the scope of his duties. He suggested that I begin treating gophers while attending UCSD.

I have owned this business for a little over 20 years now, and my husband, Louie, has just recently joined me. We both have QAL, trapping licenses, and Louie carries a structural pest control license.

When I first started I wanted to create a business that was affordable, honest, and had integrity. My only goal is to make sure our customers are satisfied with our work, that’s how we have continued to grow throughout the 20 years. We will continue to strive to be the best that we can be and make our customers number one.

I made an appt. online with Gopher-​B-​Gone after talking to another pest control company about a massive invasion of gophers on my property in Alpine. I decided to go with Gopher-​B-​Gone. They showed up on time and Louie, the owner was really nice. He inspected the areas, pointed out additional areas I was unaware of and then gave me a great price and was ready to take care of the problem on the spot. Louie told me they would be back to do a follow up within 10 days, to see if any more bait is needed, all part of the initial cost.
The company I originally called, who was referred to me by a friend, wanted to charge me $ 65.00 just to come out and look at the yard. I don’t believe in paying someone just to look, if they want my business, then that should be part of their service.
I would definitely recommend Louie & Gopher-​B-​Gone to anyone wanting a low cost solution to rid their property of gophers. They also take care of trees, and are looking into a problem I’m having with my lemon tree. Great people! Highly recommend them.
