Specialties

Welcome to the Alpine View Lodge. The Cioffi family has offered quality, assisted living to elders with Alzheimer’s disease and other related dementia for over 35 years. The Lodge provides an open and airy environment for 38 seniors. Our beautiful grounds frame stunning views of the surrounding mountains and a secured setting offering expansive lawns and gardens to enjoy.

So many folks say the Lodge feels just like their «other home». There really is a family feeling to the Lodge. We’re comfortable and welcoming. Family and friends of our elders enjoy complimentary dining with any visit. Beverages — both hot and cold, along with home made cookies are always available. Special events, barbecues, picnics on the lawns are offered all month long.

Then there is our staffing team. The majority of our thirty four staff have three to twenty years of service with the Lodge. That’s quite a rarity in healthcare. They bring their experience, expertise, their compassion and their hearts to their job every day.

To help you decide we are the right fit for your needs, we provide complimentary luncheon, a complimentary day care assessment day, or assessment at your current living place. Let us tailor a program for your loved one.

Located just 20 minutes from San Diego, we offer a broad spectrum of services including short term respite care, memory care program and hospice care. Let our family care for your family. It would be an honor. We look forward to meeting you.

History

Established in 1979.

The Alpine View Lodge is a family business. In 1979 Charles and Mary Cioffi designed and built the Alpine View Lodge, a 38 bed, residential care facility for the elderly. They provided a needed asset to those under served in then very rural East County. Their family business plan included their daughter, Linda, who continues to run the Lodge to the present day.

The Lodge has broadened it’s care over the years, becoming one of the first secure, memory care settings in San Diego County in 1995. Hospice care services were initiated in 1999 for the owner’s own 101 year old mother, Josie. Upon experiencing hospice for the first time, the Lodge owners realized the satisfaction of being able to close the circle of life with those you love. The Lodge offers this wonderful program to our elders and their family.

Meet the Business Owner

Linda C.

Business Owner

Older people have always been such a glorious part of my life. My own grandmother, Josie, left such a huge impression. I grew up at her side, traveling, learning her European cooking skills, listening to her stories of world war I and her immigration to the U.S.

I continued that close relationship with «older» citizens, working in my parents small care facilities as a young person growing up. My mother and father, Kip and Charles owned several small homes. After school I would run to those settings where I learned about the treasures these folks had to share in their histories and recollections of lives and times past.

When my parents built the Alpine View Lodge in 1979 it was a perfect fit for me. I began working in the food service and care giving areas of our business, learning from the ground floor up. Now, as the primary owner of the Lodge, I bring 35 years of experience, knowledge, love and passion for the elderly to my work. It’s an honor to care for the elderly.
