The Alpharetta Home Depot isn’t just a hardware store. We provide tools, appliances, outdoor furniture, building materials to Alpharetta, GA residents. Let us help with your project today!
So when you buy an appliance they don’t tell you that you have no input whatsoever when it’s delivered. They give you a four hour window regardless if you work, go to school etc. I think this is ridiculous and would have gone elsewhere if I had know this. I guess this is what you get for«FREE» delivery!

This was the most horrendous experience I’ve ever had with a retailer. I purchased 4 major appliances 6 weeks ago. Not one of them was installed properly. No one in the store could give me an answer to delivery or installation times. No one knew when service techs were coming to my home to «fix» the problems. It consistently took a few days(and a few voicemails) to get a returned phone call. I’m still in constant contact with the store because I’m STILLS having issues. I’m completely baffled by how this store has any positive reviews. (PS I also bought and washer and dryer and had hardwood floors installed by the Lowe’s half mile away from this location, and I’ll be giving Lowe’s 5 stars. My husband said he wouldn’t step foot into Home Depot for a screw.)

There is absolutely no one to help you find anything at this store! I went there a few days ago to buy a cordless cultivator that I had seen online, couldn’t find it and went to Customer Service and asked them to send someone to help me. After waiting for over 10 minutes with no one showing up, I again went to Customer Service and they again requested someone come to help me. Again no one showed up. I finally left and went down the street to Home Depot where someone immediately approached me and asked if I needed help. I ended up buying a cultivator there, but am still wondering why at this time of year the«Seasonal» dept at this store #1668 in Alpharetta, Ga(Windward Pkwy) was not properly staffed. What a shame!

I went to Home Depot on Windward to purchase a new kitchen(cabinets, floor, blinds, expanded closet, etc.). I started out in their cabinet department. It took about 20 minutes for me to find someone that could help me. Once I did, they made me feel rushed. They showed me a couple of cabinets, but then said that they have a project department, and someone from that department would call me. They took my number and entered it into their system as a «lead», but never called me. Based on them rushing me, not helping and not following up, I went to other stores to look at options for the new kitchen, and ultimately purchased it from Lowes on Windward.

This is one of the better Home Depots around. They staff knowledgeable people who are friendly. When you can’t find an expert, they will call them on their walkie-talkie and get one there fast. I also happen to like their classes. If you go online or get their app, you can register for the«Do-It-Yourself» classes which are free. There, you can ask all the questions you want and build a rapport with them. When it comes down to it, this is the place where you ask any question you need answered(no matter how stupid you think it is). If you have a smart phone, make sure to take pictures of whatever you are trying to fix or build so you can show it to them. The suggestions are excellent.

I spend too much and too much money here… yah for them, bad for me. I’m not going to go into a lot of detail here, IT’S A HOMEDEPOT so you know what you’re getting. However, there are a few differences at this location. 1. Getting to the parking lot is awkward from Windward… you can right or left after heading toward the HD but have to go around to get into the parking area. The intersection there is just weird. Not a big deal but it can be annoying when there is a lot of traffic. 2. The layout is wonky. It’s not the traditional layout so don’t go in thinking that you know where something is. Couple this with the small signs and minimal amount of employees walking around and you can do circles for quite a bit before finding your spot. Find someone up front and ask them before you get lost. 3. The Garden Center is right outside of the front entrance, I do like that! I makes shopping there easy and you are able to see stuff when walking right up. 4. Not sure if they have this at other sites, but they sometimes have a hotdog cart sitting up by the exit that gives out free hotdogs. Not bad, HD, not bad. So, there it is… differences for better and for worse. I prefer my ‘home’ store in Tucker but this one does in a pinch when I’m close to work.

On the Northside of Atlanta OTP, comparing Home Depot to Lowes is a lot like Wal-Mart to Target. Home Depot does very well at contractor grade, get it done, do it yourself brands and materials. Lowes offers far more designer options with more of a focus on the consumer while still accommodating the contractor. This location, however, is right on par with Lowes unlike many of the other HD’s around town. Different in concept, has a much larger design center and caters to the needs of the individual consumer as much as the contractor. I’ve also found prices here to be less expensive than the counterparts at Lowes so win win.

This Home Depot is great. The staff is friendly and helpful, and I have often received great advice from the people working here. The only place I ever have an issue is the paint department… I don’t know if they are just busy or what, but I have felt the service is lacking there. They have great pumpkins for super cheap during Halloween, and it was the only place I could find decent sized bales of hay for decorating outside around our house.

This store is honestly Hit or Miss. Ive had some of the best and some of the absolute worst customer service, but the store is clean and they have always answered any questions Ive had. Also gotten some AMAZING things on clearance here.

I spent a LOT of time here at the beginnning of the year, when I was helping my friend open up his restaurant(and learning the ropes of opening a biz for school), to get pretty much everything we needed. I am sure they were sick of my face! There are times when I come in here, I am greeted everytime, there are other times it may take a day for help, and when I do, they seem aggravated because the guy works in plumbing and I need electrical help. I have had to make my fair share of returns here, because of false statements by some of the employees(which is unfortunate, since you think they get paid to inform the public, not BS them). A prime example of this– I came by here last week to get some Christmas lights for the house(apparently our Griswold setup is too old and needs updating), and they didn’t have crap left– somehow I expected it, but then again, eh… I was looking at the lights for a few good minutes, and an associate was next to me– he completely ignored me, which sucked. Then some random guy walks up, and he literally starts chatting it up with him, WTF!!! So I ask another associate if thats all the lame-o Christmas stuff they have, he said yes… So as I leave the store, I see another entire section of Christmas stuff… Double WTF!!! Not sure what I did to piss them off, I just wanted to spend some money on lights… The more I think about it, this review started as a 3 and just got demoted to 2…

I was greeted just inside the door by two friendly gentlemen… one of whom accompanied me straight to what I was looking for, carried my item through the store to pick up a couple of other things, then accompanied to the register. Once at the register, the cashier walked around the counter and took what was in my hands. The most pleasant experience I have ever had at a home improvement place and not one of them doubted my ability as a woman to change out my own garbage disposal. now that’s service.
