History

Established in 2003.

Southern Comforts opened it’s doors in 2003 in Dunwoody, GA. Known for great pieces at great prices. Southern Comforts quickly became a destination location. Alpharetta opened it’s doors in 2008, followed by Roswell in 2011 and then our newest family member, East Cobb, in 2014. Southern Comforts creates a unique shopping experience for customers and consignors that promotes an atmosphere of hospitality and engenders friendship so that everyone who visits can’t wait to return.

Meet the Business Owner

Jenny E.

Business Owner

Jenny is the founder and co-​owner of Southern Comforts Consignments. She is a longtime resident of Dunwoody where she raised two beautiful daughters: Kristine and Katherine, now grown and on their own. Jenny’s nest is not empty; however, as she currently lives with Oliver, a rescue dog. Collecting and bargain shopping have been a passion of Jenny’s for most of her life, beginning with her grandmother who put Jenny on the path of hunting treasures from an early age. Her passion became something that she wanted to share with others, thus the opening of Southern Comforts. Jenny’s business acumen and sense of style, along with her spirit have made Southern Comforts into the warm and inviting place that people love to frequent. She subscribes to the adage that «the joy is in the treasure hunt».
