The staff here is wonderful with a quaint ambience. Stopped here because I was seriously craving a good slice of cheese pizza. The pizza was decent and the crust was good it just wasnt as decadent as I was seeking. I like a pizza with a good crust and sauce! I would go back again and try something else in the future.

Food is great. Pizza is amazing. Only downside is they are closed on Sundays, which is when my family usually goes out to eat. We’ve come here a few times, forgetting they are not open, and are always majorly disappointed. Can be a long wait at times, and the staff isn’t always the friendliest, but the food makes up for a lot because it is yummy!

They brought half our food but no pizza. After we finished eating the other half, I walked up to the counter and said, where is the pizza? «Sorry. Machine ran out of tape. Just noticed.» What? You are telling me that now? Not the least bit sorry. Nothing but platitudes. «Buddy, it’s just pizza.» Well, buddy that happens to be exactly your business and now it is no longer mine.

The size of the chicken wings are great but the taste was missing. They were the same in taste as hooters soaked in Greese

We had the «new Yorker» pizza, it was great. Our sever «Amanda» was awesome, this is the best NY style pizza I have found in North Fulton. We love this place and will be back next week.

writing this review. I can not
believe what just occurred. I ordered Eggplant Parmesan and they brought it to the table burnt (it was oily too). It was so burnt that I showed the waitress and she took it back. She brought the same Eggplant Parmesan back to my table covered with more cheese. I peeled the cheese back to discover the same burnt, cut
into eggplant Parmesan. I then show the manager and even try to cut the eggplant in front of him. I offered
him the fork to try; he declined. He simply stated «that’s how we cook it.» I made sure to show the table next to me and get contact information in case anything I’m saying in disputed. I also took a picture. The manager was so rude!!! I go there often because I live about 1 block away.

This is my third time coming here and I first tried this place when it was named Alessio’s. I have given this place three chances at different times hoping the service would be better. I have never sat down and ate, I just always picked up but anytime I would come in they always made me feel like I was bothering them for picking up a pizza. Today I get there at 3:30, and they told me it would be 20 minutes to pick up. So I get there 5 minutes early and they looked mad at me and he explained bc he told me 20 minutes bc he was giving his cook a break. I told him it was fine. I wasn’t mad, I was smiling the whole time but I couldn’t wait to get my pizza and just go. This was my last experience… I do have to say the pizza is great but there are plenty of other choices and I do not mind making a further drive for good service and great pizza.

Tried their hot-​wings. They were awesome. Got them hot and wet and the size of the wings were good sized. The sauce was unique and very good. A vinegar based sauce which is the only way I roll with hot sauces. Very very good wings. Very surprised. Better than most all wing places I’ve ever tried. ⁵⁄₅ stars.

Shayne the manager and the servers are warm and friendly. The food is very good, consistent and priced fairly. The atmosphere is comfortable and casual very of a neighborhood feel. Go by and check them out, you’ll be happy!

Their pizza is the closest thing to my beloved NY pizza and it’s super awesome! We frequent this place pretty often & the food is always great! Thurs-​Sat evenings can get pretty hectic and the pizza wait time can be up to an hour, but it’s truly worth it. TRUST ME!

We’ve been long time customers of Santino’s. This place has always had great food every time. They’ve had the same pizza maker for years and the consistency is amazing. They have a full menu and each dish is prepared fresh to order. If you’re in a hurry for lunch they offer slices as well. Santino’s is always busy and they do a great job moving people in and out on the busy weekend nights. If you’re in the Johns Creek area Santino’s is the place for Pizza and Italian food.

I’ve been going to this pizza place for many years. Same owners and staff when it was called Alessios.
I’ve never had a bad meal or service here. The food is fresh, the place is clean and is well managed. I usually get the pizza and sometimes some garlic knots or mozz sticks for an appitizer, all are excellent.
They have a full menu and desserts like funnel cake.
This place gets very busy during the dinner rush, so expect a little wait on the weekends.

When it comes to pizza I’m biased. That’s part of being from New Jersey/​New York area. When we are looking for a great pizza in our area we go to Santino’s. The pizza is fresh, tasty and the closest thing to what we know as a New York pizza.
Besides pizza, being a creature of habit, I order the baked ziti. Santino’s baked ziti was the first dinner I enjoyed when I moved to Atlanta. It’s just consistently delicious.
Being at Santino’s is comfortable because the wait staff treats every customer like family.
I highly recommend Santino’s for their pizza and for a yummy Italian meal.

Great Friday night pizza spot. The pizza is New York style and is very good. The staff is really friendly and it is owned my a nice family. This is a great place to take your family. I really enjoy this spot.

Santino’s is a casual, family friendly restaurant at the corner of Haynes Bridge Road and Old Alabama. When I saw two signs on the outside promoting hot wings and funnel cakes, I was a bit skeptical about this «pizza» place, but my family had a great experience.
The restaurant offers a couple of different local beers, several different pasta options, pizza by the slice until 8 pm or whole pizzas, and other options like the hot wings I mentioned. There are also a couple of TV’s with sports on.
I went with a Jekyll Hop Dang Diggity beer and the pepperoni and sausage pizza which was good. I liked the thin crust and toppings but would probably not get it for takeout since there are better pizza options around. I did enjoy it though. My wife loved her fettuccine and her garlic rolls were awesome.
We were curious about the funnel cakes, so we ordered one and it was huge. It didn’t look as good as the ones you see at fairs but it tasted just as good. It was big enough for at least 3 people.
We’ll definitely be back. We liked the laid back feel and the food was pretty good overall.

My husband and I love this place!
The pizza is great here, the garlic knots are delicious! We’ve eaten several different pastas and loved those, and we’ve eaten the stromboli — which is my favorite! Everything tastes great here, the service is excellent and they are pet friendly!
We’ve brought our macaw here on his leash and he loved the pizza too! They brought him his own glass of water to drink, too!
Love this place, we will definitely be back!

I would give it 2 1.2 stars if I could but can’t so here is my review. We ordered take out from here and it was mediocre @ best. The appetizers were from a box for sure and the pizza had potential but was undercooked. Not sure if we’d go there again which is unfortunate since we both pass it on our way home.

«Hey, this used to be Alessio’s. Maybe it improved.» This was the premise for the first visit. The second visit was «Okay, it WAS better than Alessio’s, so it probably won’t hurt to try it again.» Time three was, «I feel comfy here, but let’s split portions from now on.» Ravioli, Pasta Santino, Pizza, and lasagna were among the various itmes eaten. All of them had good sauces, especially the marinara. The famous garlic rolls were okay. I just liked the neighborhood feel of the place (this is important when one is old.) Now, if they only had an «early bird special»…

Two minutes. I was two minutes away from slinking out of the office early to start my weekend, when an obnoxious coworker grabbed me to join an ongoing meeting. «It’s an emergency and we need your help», she said. We all work with people who feel the need to waste others’ time by calling ridiculous meetings at inopportune times, and this woman is the queen of the a-​holes. I was extraordinarily hungry, and watching her pontificate over nothing wasn’t putting food in my stomach. The only reason I couldn’t leave is that my boss was in the room, and making fun of the woman while flaunting two middle fingers as I stormed out probably wouldn’t have been a good move.
Just prior to me coming dangerously close to choking out the blowhard chairperson, the meeting finally wrapped up, and thinking that I would pick something up on the way home, I immediately jumped on Unilocal to find see if I could find a new pizza place to try. Santino’s (formerly Alessio’s) had good reviews and seemed to be the place to call. A large half sausage, half cheese awaited my rumbling stomach. I grabbed the pizza, got into my car and immediately dove in for the first bite. Sadly, Unilocal completely missed the boat on this one. At the hunger level I was experiencing, I figured that I could eat the box the pizza came in and be satisfied, so I was surprised when I found the food so-​so. The crust was good, but the sauce, sausage, and cheese were a little flavorless for my taste.
The reason for 3 stars… I’m not sure what kind of chemical reaction occurs to pizza when it’s refrigerated overnight, but Santino’s was great the next morning. It was like I was eating something completely different from the day before. I rarely give restaurants a second shot, but these guys deserve one.
On an aside, I not only ate while driving, but ate pizza of all things, managed to take a picture, AND post it to Unilocal.The Georgia State Police will eventually find my car wrapped around a tree when I try to do the same thing with a bowl of chili. Of course, totalling my car would be heaven if it meant never having to sit through another drivel-​filled meeting at work.

Rule #1 when grocery shopping, never go when you’re hungry. Since my SO and I didn’t want to do our shopping while hungry, we stopped by this place for a quick bite. And what was supposed to be a quick bite turned into a taking-​our-​time-​full-​fledged meal. The place was packed, but we were seated promptly in the back in a comfy, but private booth. We were seated for only a minute when our server got our drink order. She was very knowledgeable about the beer on tap and recommended that my SO try the Leinenkugel’s Sunset Wheat beer. She joked that it tasted like Fruity Pebbles, and she wasn’t kidding! It was so good I ordered one. Then two.
We placed an order for some garlic knots and they arrived quickly. They aren’t really knots, more like rolls. Once my SO bit into it and proclaimed OMG, I knew it must be good. We’re big fans of garlic rolls with extra garlic and extra butter, so this hit the spot. If it were socially acceptable to lick the bowl clean, my SO would have. He ordered a custom pizza with feta cheese, pineapple, bacon and pepperoni (don’t ask me why) and I ordered the chicken stromboli (chicken, feta cheese, onions, olives and tomatoes). I never had a stromboli before, but I feel like it’s the cousin to the calzone.
Despite the large crowd, our food arrived quickly. By the time it reached us, we were a few bottles deep and feeling pretty good. I took one bite of my stromboli and was unable to contain my OMG moan of pleasure. MMM. Bursting with flavor and melted cheese, I basically died and went to heaven. There was no more talking at our table as we stuffed our faces.
Not only was the food amazing, but service was outstanding. Our server, Lindsey, was ON THE BALL. She had a large section that night, full of large parties and lotsa kids, but she brought her A game. Drinks were always refilled, empty beers and plates promptly cleared, and she always made sure we had everything we needed. She always found a second or two to make a joke or engage in conversation.
For the two of us, the bill was around $ 52 and some change for 4 beers, two sodas, garlic knots, my stromboli and my SO’s pizza. Kinda steep, but well worth it considering the great service. We look forward to going back!

Our party of three enjoyed a large pie with peperoni, mushrooms and green pepers. I found it to be just as good as I had expected. As a matter of fact I would rank this as one of the best pizza options in the metro area.

Recently my kids were in town visiting me from New York so I took them up to John’s Creek to play with their friends who live in that neighborhood. The parents of the children my kids like to play with are my friends also and they live in in apartments near Bassano’s Pizzeria. My friend and his wife wanted to go to Bassano’s, which has recently and suddenly closed. So we knew we had to find an alternate pizza place for dinner.
Friday night rolls around and its dinner time so we decide on Alessio’s because we have heard great things. Alessio’s feels like a mom and pop restaurant. It is your basic casual pizza shop /​family style casual Italian eatery. Alessio’s has a few televisions positioned high on the walls in the dining area. The dining area /​interior of the place isn’t overly large or spacious, but it is certainly cozy and warm feeling. The TV’s were showing college basketball conference playoff games.
We ordered appetizers for the kids: garlic knots (more like garlic rolls), fried mozzarella sticks with marinara sauce and garlic bread topped with melted mozzarella cheese and served with marinara sauce on the side. I ordered a large cheese pizza (half pepperoni) as the main course. My friends get a pizza with smoked chicken breast cubes, sun-​dried tomatoes and artichoke hearts plus a pasta dish for the pre-​teen daughter consisting of fettuccine alfredo with diced chicken.
The garlic bread and garlic rolls /​knots were good; however, they were also pretty darn garlicky. If you don’t like a lot of garlic, garlic oil or garlic infused butter, then you better steer clear. We decided that we liked the taste of garlic well after we had finished eating the bread. I personally like the taste of garlic so this was not a problem for me.
The pizza was decent if not outright solid; perhaps not outstanding– but definitely quite good. I was surprised at the size of the large pizza (great value). The large pizza contained 8 slices, it may not have been as large as I had expected it to be (based on claims that the pizzas served here are enormous). My friends and I also ordered some beer by the pitcher (Blue Moon). Pitchers here seem to be a much better deal when compared to ordering beer by the pint.
One especially bright spot about Alessio’s place is the service. Our waiter, a South American fellow, was very attentive, responsive and friendly. Overall, I would venture to say Alessio’s is a solid NY style pizza joint /​casual Italian restaurant; however, I cannot definitively say it is among the best in that category.
My bill for the appetizers and pizza, with tax and tip, came to around $ 45 and change; a bit steep but then again not outrageous. I can think of a dozen or so other pizza places in the northern suburbs that are just as good, if not better (and maybe cheaper); however, I would also rank Alessio’s as worthy of warranting a return visit whenever I find myself in the John’s Creek /​East Roswell /​Southeast Alpharetta /​Peachtree Corners area (s).

They have specials that aren’t listed anywhere, so be sure to ask your server about it. I also like that they’ll cut your pizza into child bites if you’ve got a child with you!
The price is right and the pizza was delicious. The side salad was a good size and the ranch dressing was delicious. It’s the kind of place that I’d go back to without hesitation!

I visited Atlanta in last January (2009) and while there had a chance to eat dinner one evening at Alessio’s.
The first thing I noticed when I entered Alessio’s was the atmosphere. There was a local fire station company having a meal and several family’s seated throughout the dining room. Everyone was cheerful including the staff who was bantering back and forth with the firemen. You don’t find this in a corporate chain restaurant.
We settled into our booth and ordered a large half peperoni /​have cheese pizza. The pie was a typical New York style Neapolitan pizza. Very large, and relatively thin allowing you to easily fold your slices. The dough was very fresh and the sauce & toppings were evening proportioned. I really liked the cheese blend on the pizza as well. There were at least 3 cheeses in it.
Once again I can’t state enough how friendly and attentive the staff was.
Alessio’s is not just a pizzeria, it’s a full service Italian restaurant and everything from soups, salads, pastas, chicken, veal, etc… Next time I’m in the Atlanta area I intend to visit again.
