I don’t know why I keep coming to this Publix. It’s the worst managed store I’ve ever tried to shop at. The check out lines are always long because only 2 or 3 are ever open. Today they couldn’t accept a coupon. I’m shopping at Kroger or neighborhood walmart moving forward or choosing another Publix.

Most people say they don’t really enjoy grocery shopping — they don’t get up on Saturday and look forward to the expedition to buy more paper towels or asparagus or cheese. I’m a little different. Going to the grocery store is a little bit of quiet time for me — I don’t have to interact with anyone and I leave with a sense of accomplishment after ticking off all the items on my list. I’ve shopped at this Publix since it opened and there are a lot of things that keep me coming back: a) they stock numerous items so I always have choices b) the deli and bakery are really, really good c) they continually refresh their space to keep things looking tiptop(and they recently expanded) d) the layout works for me and how I shop e) many of the staff have worked there a long time — low turnover usually means a well managed establishment f) the staff are friendly and helpful g) the parking spaces — this may seem strange, but I love how this Publix(and all the others I’ve been to) have wider than average parking spaces. It makes loading groceries a lot easier. I don’t want to start any grocery wars, but in the national-chain category, Publix is my preference.

I unabashedly love Publix. It is that great combination of affordable and quality. This location has everything you need. The cheese and deli section are pretty solid. The store is clean, including the bathrooms. Use this store and skip the nearby Walmart.

Getting to know this store as I am staying away from Kroger. This store is clean and never crowded. The produce has a limited selection but fresh and clean. The meat department is okay and they have an awesome Italian sausage. The fresh pizza dough rolled out is so easy and taste pretty good. I believe I will shop here more often.

I’m torn on this one. I want to give them more stars since many of their cashiers and baggers(who have been working here for YEARS) are great. Their pharmacist is also wonderful. But there are so many staff members that leave much to be desired. I’ve had a number of baggers who will just walk away while they’re in the middle of bagging my groceries to chat with another employee. Another time, I came to the store with my son who was just 4 months old at the time. The bagger, Eric, brought my items to my car and then randomly asked me while we were walking, «So, how much weight have you lost since having your baby?» I can’t make this stuff up, Unilocalers. I stood there shocked for a second. Lucky for him, my weight isn’t a sensitive subject for me so I just simply stammered an I don’t know. I think most women would’ve decked him… and rightfully so. The other month they were doing a special on this maple turkey sub with red apples, spinach, some special herb sauce and onions. They had a huge picture of it hanging in their deli with the word SPECIAL on it. It had been there a few weeks and I finally decided to try it. The woman making my sub had no idea how to do it. She kept looking up at the sign several times for inspiration because she didn’t know what went into it. Additionally, they ran out of spinach and she said it was no where to be found in the store. Really? You’re Publix and you’ve run out of spinach? She started dicing granny smith apples for the sub when I told her that the picture had red apples which were sliced… and probably for a good reason since diced apples would be a mess falling out everywhere from the sandwich. She gave me a look that could’ve melted lead and then told me that the apples were not red simply because they weren’t all the way ripe yet. FACEPALM. I almost began to explain to her the difference between granny smith apples and other apple varieties, but I realized this was a lost cause. I unhappily ate my sandwich with diced, granny smith apples.

I usually stop in here on my way to work, and my experience is usually pretty pleasant and uneventful. However, today, as I was ready to check out, I got in line at the only checkout line that was open, and was told to get rung up at another checkout lane, problem was, there wasn’t another one open. The solution? Go to customer service. If there was a long line, I would’ve understood, but there was only one person in front of me, and they only had three items. It felt as if she just didn’t want to help me. The way she watched me as I walked away didn’t help either. I’m usually pretty blind to people’s ignorance, but this was a bit too obvious to ignore. Very disappointed.

This Publix does not have customer service that is on par with other locations. Unless I am buying $ 100+ worth of groceries, I almost always end up bagging my own items while employees chit chat in other lines. They rarely offer to help getting things to the car(not that I need help, but they always offer at other locations). Not my favorite Publix, but the location is convenient for me.

The service and cleanliness here is great. The only problem I have is that their asian food buffet often has food that has been sitting out or is reserved(the vegetables in particular) from days prior. And often they just let the food run out and don’t refill that part of the hot bar. That would be me only negative critique of this grocer so far.

This is my go to store, They are always Clean and Friendly. Logical lay out, and its nice to see the same faces time after time. They have good deals, and I love that when its buy one get one free, you can just buy the one. and its half off :) I am learning to be a coupon-er and they are always on the ball asking if I brought them with me :)

I love this grocery store. Their deli, catering and bakery products are amazing. I always crave their sub sandwiches, which are a great price and use very high quality ingredients. I highly recommend Publix for catering any event. I have used them from graduation parties to my wedding. They also make top notch desserts. Their grocery store prices tend to be a little higher than average, but again, they are provide very high quality ingredients. Also, they are always very involved in the community. Publix also provides recipes and sampling for quick, healthy meals through a program Apron’s. I love their recipes!

This is the dimmest Publix that I’ve ever entered. Um. Not that I’ve been in hundreds of them, but I’ve been in dozens and this one has a K-Mart-level of illumination. Not that it matters, I suppose… it was just kind of strange. The set-up was back-assward from every other Publix that I’ve seen… produce on the far left and a vast, empty section with some meat where veggies and fruits usually populate the square footage. Weird. Must be a conspiracy or sumpin’! The employees were friendly and helpful, as usual for this corporation. I think that I almost got invited to a home-cooked meal by the sushi roller, although I had just eaten and didn’t buy any sushi. Yeah, the employees are that nice. It shames Winn-Dixie every time a Publix staffer smiles. Or something.

I disagree with Darren enthusiastically. This deli is the worst Publix deli I have ever been to. So bad, I never go there for custom subs because they take FOREVER. Even with the separate payment counter, I can get a sub in half the time at the McGinnis Ferry location. The only reason I go to this one is they typically have premade wraps. However, today was my last attempt. I showed up at 11am and was told it would be 15 minutes before the premades were out. There staff isn’t very friendly either and it seems almost like a hassle for them to service you half of the time.

Love Publix the selection of meats is awesome! Plus no sandwich place I have been to can beat a publix sandwich period and the bakery section in the best! If you haven’t tried the Chocolate Ganache cake yet I suggest you go now and don’t forget their BOGO sales!

Don’t get me wrong. I LOVE Publix… but not this one. I thought all Publix were the same but this one got me. It is located near Northpoint Mall and I wanted a veggie sub before heading off to the mall. First of all, you have to prepay for your subs, which I didn’t mind but the sub making area(that’s what I call it) was more in the back than the front. Sure, I’m fine with that. But what really got me was there were NO wheat bread. What? At 4 pm? They didn’t even say they were making more. I was very disappointed. I will NOT go back to this particular Publix.

I don’t do much grocery shopping here since I only work in alpharetta but don’t live here. My mission here is usually the deli section where I can get freshly made subs. The setup for this section is a little more thought out than in other locations i’v been to & with the manager walking around talking to the customers, customer service seems to be a high priority for this location.

This is another one of those giant Alpharetta grocery stores. You know, for all of the soccer moms walking around with ugly short hair cuts and make-up so thick you can see their powder from across the street. Anyway… I’m not sure if I’d ever be able to go through all the aisles here and find everything useful to me, but I guess that’s why I don’t live in this neighborhood. One thing they got right was their deli. They have their sub line down to a science and actually customize your order via computer and you pay first kinda like at a fast food restaurant. There’s even seating nearby. Not a bad alternative to Subway.
