Our son has been playing baseball for a few years at Ocee. It is a wonderful program. There is a good balance of pushing the kids to focus and improve their skills while remembering that they are just kids and most of them will not be professional ball players. The fields are well maintained with fenced, covered dug outs, covered stands for spectators and helmet/ball racks. There are 2 playgrounds, tennis courts, basketball courts, covered pavilions, etc. .. The big playground is nice with about 8 swings, merry go round, tire swing, and 2 climbing/slide structures(one for big and one for littler kids). As well an area to dig/play in the sand. The walking trails are very nice and shaded most of the way — through the woods. There is plenty of parking with easy access(except on Sat am during baseball seasons). There are no open green spaces that are not part of a baseball field. So, no designated good spot to fly a kite, play frisbee, etc. .. But you can usually use one of the outfields if there is not a game/practice going on. Although, these are sometimes pretty popular. Overall, it is a great place for kids to play organized baseball. While there you can have a nice walk/jog, visit a playground or have pavilion picnic party.

This park is what you think of when you consider moving to the suburbs for green space for the kids and dogs. We recently had our department team building event here, so I got to enjoy the finest multi-use facility that Johns Creek has to offer. And there’s a lot — several ball fields(4 or 5, I lost count), a couple of basketball courts, a couple of sand volleyball courts, multiple restroom facilities, covered picnic areas, and a playground. There seemed to be ample parking, though it’s probably more hectic when there’s a game at each of those ball fields. The restrooms were clean and seemingly well-maintained, as were the ball fields. The basketball courts looked as if they’d seen better days, but most outdoor basketball courts look pretty worn. The sand in the volleyball courts was pretty course(and I have sand burns on my knees and shins to prove it). There’s not a whole lot of shade, so bring your sunscreen. I did notice several runners, early in the day, and it appears that there are some running trails that go through the more wooded part of this very large park. #Yelp365 — 177⁄365
