Smoking Room, said they would deodorize never did. It smells like a bingo hall. Who has smoking rooms in 2015?
2^nd elevator broke and by the other reviews, looks like it’s been broke for a while. The working elevator is currently set on the speed of retirement home.
The overall décor feels very dated. Everything feels 10 years old with the exception of the couch furniture.
Room service took over an hour. My filet was luke warm, I had to put it in the microwave. The room service waiter was nice, but forgot butter & sour cream. Another 10 mins to eat my potato. Another trip to the microwave.
Both TV Remotes in the room are terrible. They need replaced, volume & channels work about 50% of the time.
No headphones available in the workout facility, where there is an empty headphones basket. This would be been awesome as I forgot mine.
The bartender is awesome, friendly, attentive & good guy. Front desk was polite and friendly also. Franchise Owner: you’ve got an amazing location and good staff. It’s time to invest some serious cash into remodeling your property.

I was just recently staying at this hotel for a wedding. My father booked a block of rooms for our family to stay in for the weekend and our particular stay at this hotel was the longest. The date range we were reserving left us with the first night (Wednesday), without a room. Fortunately they were able to accommodate us for that day, and our range of stay had us checking out the following Tuesday morning (Tomorrow). The room had a few issues, the shower curtain rod wasn’t secured onto the wall, and there was some broken furniture, but all in all not a bad room. It was a nice home away from home. We did hear some evening revelry and it was loud at times, but not too disruptive. There was an elevator that was broken the entire time of our stay, and the one working elevator was slow and it seemed that the door sensor wasn’t working. I found this to be the case when I was trying to hold the door open so my toddler could get in the elevator and the door kept closing on me. This is a safety concern. The breakfast was nice and I will say that the staff on the floor of the dining area were very pleasant and helpful.
This morning we were enjoying a nice day of rest from our busy weekend when we got a knock on the door from housekeeping. They thought we were checking out today. No. We were booked until Tuesday. We continued to enjoy our late morning and then some time later another member of housekeeping knocked on the door. Again thought we were checking out today. Nope. I called my father to notify him that they have the rooms messed up again and he needed to call and clarify. This had not been the first instance of room reservation confusion since we checked in on Wednesday. My father was told he would be able to speak to the manager, and no one returned his calls. There are detailed notes regarding conversations between our party and the staff and their convenient confusion of our bookings. Shortly after this, the front desk called our room and informed us they were overbooked and it was our mistake that we thought we were booked until Tuesday morning. They were pushing us out of the room with great haste. We got downstairs to check out and upon reaching the lobby and waiting to settle up, the desk staff were talking about «those people in room ### (our room), not getting their act together.»
I am not one to have much to say of negative regard, and I have many things to say about our stay at this establishment. Our family chose this location for a celebration and for fellowship and I have never felt so unwelcome in a place. This hotel received a large piece of business from us, and to be treated in such an unprofessional manner is appalling to me. Our experience has left a bad taste in my mouth and I hope that some resolution can be made.

I recently spent a few nights here. It’s in a good location in Alpharetta; it’s right by a number of stores and restaurants. Everyone was friendly enough but I just think this place could use a good update. The suite style room is nice but everything was pretty dated. The room was also incredibly dark; it could have used a few more lights.
When you enter your room, you have a desk and a common room with a couch and a TV. It’s nice that you have a separate «living» area. The bathroom was fine, pretty standard. Then, you have a separate bedroom. My room had 2 doubles even though I was by myself. Not sure if any of the rooms have a king bed vs 2 doubles. There’s a TV in the bedroom, as well, and ample closet space. I didn’t have any issues with the room but it could really use a good update.
The one thing I don’t like about Embassy Suites is that you walk out of your room and you are suddenly overlooking the entire hotel. I like opening my door into a hallway. It’s just a preference but that’s how I feel. The hotel does have a pretty large gym and a swimming pool but I did not use either.
A couple cool things the hotel does is a free breakfast and a free happy hour. The breakfast food is pretty good and they even have omelettes made to order. I didn’t have a drink at the hotel but free happy hour is always good. On the plus side, there is plenty of parking and the check-​in process was not too bad.

The location is great. But the hotel needs some serious work.
We checked in to our king suite room, and the first thing I noticed was that the rooms desperately need a refresh. Furniture is scratched and worn. The carpet has multiple stains, and the walls show signs of being patched. And the room has a little (and I mean little) 32″ TV — which was standard about 5 – 6 years ago, but now even the Marriott Courtyard has bigger TV’s in the rooms.
The real problems started that night. We found that the A/​C works, but the temperature control is broken. At around 3 am, we found our room was FREEZING (below 65 degrees), so we turned off the A/​C. At 8 am, it was back to hot and humid.
Then, on our way out the next morning, we discovered our door blocked by furniture. They were ripping carpet out of rooms on our floor, and put the furniture in front of our door. After a call to the front desk, just to let us out, we found ourselves in a hall saturated with carpet glue fumes. Hm.
This hotel looks like it has been ignored for a long time. And worse, if the management is just now trying to fix it up, they are doing a poor job of keeping customers informed and away from the construction. That points to some real management issues.

First in line at check in. Check in took 20 minutes. Desk clerk had to reboot computer to process check in. Left her with my credit card so she could check us in while I quickly got my bags from the car. Returned to desk minutes later to find her checking someone else in and had to wait while she completed their check in before she processed ours.
Toilet overflowed in bathroom. Called front desk to report the overflow and water on bathroom floor. Had to call again 20 minutes later in order to get someone up to the room. Maintenance finally came and offered us the plunger and mop so that we could clean it up ourselves.
Went downstairs to restaurant to get a bite to eat only to find that it was closed. Hours posted in room and in front of restaurant were incorrect.
Ordered room service for 4 and asked for 4 glasses of ice water with meals. Meals delivered with silverware for 2 and no waters.
Checked out and left then realized my daughter had left her iPad behind on the bed. Housekeeping claimed that it was not found in the room. Talked to someone at the hotel who was in charge of house keeping but they were not very helpful and kind of blew us off. They did not ask us for any contact information. Have left 2 messages since with no callbacks.
Have always loved Embassy Suites and looked forward to staying there. This experience was very disappointing.

I sit on my room writing this, it is 10:50 and I’m on the top floor. I can still hear the looooud bar cackles and if I look out my door I see all the coca-​cola personnel stumbling all over. Despite my calls to the front desk and security four times now for the past hour, The situation has only gotten worse. They care nothing about the single traveler only about the corporations staying there. Never again.

Great service! I don’t know how this hotel has such an average rating. Everyone was so friendly and courteous. The ladies at the front desk Trish and DeeDee were both friendly and helpful. The bartender, Ken was the best!
The rooms are large and very clean. From 5:30 pm to 7 they have an open bar with drinks on the house. They also serve breakfast.
I had a really nice stay!

Our family and friends stayed this weekend reserving two rooms and will not stay here again if we can help it. We reserved our rooms online thru a pet friendly hotels site. But after checking in we were informed that it was not a pet friendly hotel by front desk. They allowed us to stay but we wish we had relocated. The room was clean but old stained carpet, uncomfortable bed and tiny bathroom. The breakfast was great night staff at desk very friendly helping get our kids snacks since when we checked in to our premium rooms the free vending machine was not operating during our entire stay. The dog walk area was out of poop bags and never restocked the whole time we were there.

Don’t waste your money!!!
Went here this week for business. I was traveling with 4 other people, we all had our own rooms. Each one of us had dirty rooms. Some had stains on the carpet, There was a dried up contact left by someone else on my bed. Three of the guests had dried mens «stuff» in their room. REALLY??? The air condition didn’t go down past 68 and it wasn’t cold enough to sleep. Also, there wasn’t any extra blankets in the closet even though the room had a pull out couch. The WiFi didn’t work. There wasn’t any signs about celiac/​gluten free choices for their breakfast so I wasn’t able to eat a lot without knowing if I would be sick. The night before we went to the reception. The drink choices were not very good. We tried to pay for drinks and get margaritas but they didn’t have any tequila higher grade than 1800. We were so surprised and disappointed.
I visit my customer for work every year, and I can tell you this much. I will NOT be staying here!

Best hotel breakfast I’ve ever had. Complementary made to order breakfast and snacks and drinks at dinner. Nice rooms.

Normal, typical hotel. Just DO NOT use the drinking glasses! Saw this hotel featured on the local news about not washing the drinking glasses and instead using your used hand towels and a chemical spray labeled «Do Not Drink!» to clean with!

I’m currently staying here on a 2 week business trip. The hotel has been great up until this weekend. After working early all week I was looking forward to sleeping in on Saturday morning. The hotel is under renovation and the workers have been hammering floor boards since 7:30 this morning.
It would have nice if they would have informed us about the renovations and the noise at the time of booking rather then seeing a note on the table when I walked into the room after check in
Well after calling the front desk I found out that the hammering will be going on until 6pm and all day on Sunday.

Purchased a ticket from Groupon for one night. Paid about $ 89 for a king suite. Pull out couch is in the living area.
Check-​in was a breeze. Front desk staff is very nice. Room is clean and has everything you need. Glasses have paper covers, I usually prefer single packaged plastic cups, but they appear clean. Kitchenette area features a microwave and dorm fridge.
So far, not too shabby for a one-​night ikeaCation! I’ve never stayed in an embassy suites before but it’s certainly a better «feeling» room than in a Holiday Inn… At this price, I expected less.
To add, complimentary reception includes alcoholic and non-​alcoholic beverages from 5:30 to 7:30pm every evening, pool hours:

10pm — Midnight (Adult Swim)

We recently went to Embassy Suites Alpharetta as a birthday present for my stepson. I have to say we were very disappointed. There is just a serious lack of attention to detail. We booked a room online for 5 guests. The premium room we booked had 2 double beds and a pull out. We called ahead and let them know at check-​in that this was a special occasion and to please make sure it was a nice room and to request a late check out. We checked in late, about 7pm. I stood at the bell-​desk for a few minutes before guessing there was no bell service available. I was going to ask the woman at the front desk about it but she had a line 3 groups long and was by herself. I took a cart. It was very heavy and hard to steer. The elevator made terrible scary noises and moved awkwardly. The kids wanted to go to the pool so we rushed upstairs and got changed to go swimming. I did notice a broken drawer handle and a white something on the couch right away but I had 3 kids to entertain while waiting on my husband to arrive so I really didn’t have time to mess with calling anyone.
The pool seemed nice, heated, chlorine not saline though. Made the kids eyes red. My husband arrived and we returned to the room. I had brought dinner to microwave so we could eat and return to the pool. When i opened the microwave I noticed it was burnt on the inside. The glass tray that turns inside the microwave would not stay on the wheels. Again the kids were hungry so I couldn’t really call and get a new one and just had to make do. As we were eating we began to notice all of the dust, spider webs, dirt on the walls, burns and stains on the carpet. Now my options were call and either have to move rooms or have them clean the rooms around us at 9pm when we are trying to celebrate and open gifts or just make do. We had to concede to just make do as to not interrupt the celebration for the kids.
We did call to get more towels and pillows since they only have 2 towels in a room meant to sleep 6 people and that had a reservation for 5 people. We noticed there were not enough pillows for the pullout but thought the blanket for it was made into it. We didn’t notice that there was no blanket till we were laying down to go to sleep. We really just wanted to go to sleep so we decided we had to make do again. Again our reservation was for more people than fit into 2 double bed so these things should have already been in our room.
We didn’t sleep well. There is an about and inch gap under the door and the noise and light from the hotel pours into the room.
Next morning. Breakfast was great but there were no tables that seated more than 4 so we had to put the kids at a separate table and there seemed to be a silverware shortage.
Went back to the pool about 10am. In addition to the amount of towels in the hamper, my 2 year old found a french fry. Pretty good sign that the pool area had not been properly cleaned from the night before. Hot tub jets had stopped working since the night before too.
At checkout the woman at the front desk asked how my stay was. I told her that honestly my room wasn’t very clean. Her response was «Well, did you actually call down about it?». I explained that no I had checked in late with children and did not have the time to deal with it. She just said «oh» and looked down. She didn’t ask any other questions or apologies or suggestions or offers to follow up. She really kind of looked like she was sorry she asked. Really I wanted to tell her that the room should have been clean and ready for us when we got there without me having to do anything else other than book the room. I should not have to be pushy to get basic service for a hotel of this quality. It wasn’t like I was asking for anything free.
Overall this hotel lacks a serious attention to detail in every department. I will be unlikely to choose this embassy suites again.

Room felt hot and humid then I found out from the maintenance guy that they don’t have air conditioning but it is a chiller system that doesn’t use freon so doesn’t dehumidify also one elevator wasn’t working for much of the time. Surely would not stay here with no air conditioning if I have other options

The elevators run very poorly. The wait for them was long and one became inoperable.
The pool and hot tub were great. I also loved the omelette bar and the happy hour. I’d stay here again but I hope the elevators receive proper maintenance.

PLUSSES: Tish at the front desk greeted us warmly and made us feel welcome. Bed was very comfortable, room was clean. Lobby and dining area were appealing, albeit smaller than other ES’s.
MINUSES: Room was smaller than other Embassy Suites we’ve stayed at, but not a huge detractor.
The walls are PAPER thin. I felt like I was intruding on the next door neighbor’s conversation.
Pool was cloudy but warm.
All-​in-​all, a great value and a nice place, but just not the usual elegance of ES.

I recently stayed here last weekend (³⁄₁₄ — ³⁄₁₆) just because I needed to get away for a while. I don’t spend much time in Alpharetta (I’m an hour and 35 minutes away) so I looked into this hotel. Finding the hotel was a struggle at first (I’ve never been past Mansell Rd.) but navigating GA-​400 became easier for me as time went on. I really did like the location because everything was within the area. There are more than plenty of restaurants in the area, North Point Mall was very nice and it was nice having a Wal*Mart close by so I could stop in. As soon as I got to the hotel, I was extremely pleased. Customer service is very helpful and kind. They checked me in right away and I didn’t have any problems. The hotel is beautiful on the inside as well.
They have a complimentary free cocktail hour. For the people who like to drink alcoholic beverages, they had beer, hard lemonade (my favorite), and a fruity type drink. They also had a fully stocked bar for people who didn’t want what was offered for free. They also have cook to order breakfast which was very good! They cooked eggs (like omlettes and scrambled eggs), sausage, pancakes, among other things. Then they had cereal and coffee and tea. It was well stocked and my food was never cold. I had room service on the first night which was very tasty; they bring you condiments and the food is brought in a very nice way. I’ve had bad room service and this is far from it. They have pizza delivery to the hotel which I will have to try if I ever go back. I could see a few pizza delivery guys going up and down the elevators so it must’ve been good. On food terms, I was a very happy camper!
The room was a suite so it had the couch, fridge, microwave, and coffee pot. There were two televisions, one for the bedroom and one for where the couch was. The bathroom had a tub and shower. The bed in the bedroom was very soft! The thermostat was very easy to change so my room temperature was perfect the whole time (Georgia weather is constantly changing so it’s good to have a thermostat that you can change on a whim).
I would say the only problems were: You could hear kids laughing and parents yelling from your room. I’m going to say that the walls are a little thin. It wasn’t too bad I would say but if the parents kept yelling loudly, I may have had a problem. I feel like that isn’t the hotel’s fault… I feel like the people around me were just being too loud. Also the elevators are extremely slow and there aren’t any steps to use. The doors stay locked and you can only use the steps when there is a fire.
Did what I said above ruin my experience? Absolutely NOT. I had a great time at that hotel. I would have brought my cats (this hotel is pet friendly) and gave them a vacation if it wasn’t 100 a pet (I’m a student, I’m not that rich lol). There was Haiku, a Japanese steakhouse, right outside my window which I had to go to. There are plenty of things to do around the hotel and GA-​400 exit ramp is very close by so you don’t really get lost.
It was a very nice hotel overall and I am hoping to get back there again soon!

Okay, I admit it, I’m a points whore and book my hotels based on location and loyalty programs. No Starwood hotels, so Hilton comes next. Frankly, after my last stay in an ES (see my review at
), I never wanted to stay at one again but didn’t have a better choice at a reasonable price.
But I was insanely pleasantly surprised. The room was clean and bright with great amenities, the bed was comfortable, and the HVAC was quiet and functional.
At breakfast I asked if the sausages were gluten free and instead of getting back a blank stare the chef pointed out everything that was safe for me — and the sausage and potatoes were not included on the list. Ah well… there were plenty of other choices, both healthy and indulgent.
Well, it turns out the property manager is celiac too, and since the staff has to «put up with me,» as she said, they know gluten inside and out. This property won’t make me any more likely to chance another ES, but when I am back in Alpharetta, this will be my home away from home from now on.

While I’ve stayed at my fair share of Embassy Suites, this was ok in terms of cleanliness. However, the walls are PAPER THIN! We had a couple next to us that were at it all night. I mean up till 2 a.m. at it. I need earmuffs! UG!!! The pool needs to be cleaned. Room was fine, but structurally I’ve never been in a hotel where I could literally hear a pin drop in the room next door. Not a good experience and will not be back to this location.
