We waited for 30 min for our order to arrive, after checking with the hostess and not getting adequate response we left. We were not expecting such poor service

Amazing food. Had the hog toes absolutely delicious a burger with truffle fries and an apple crumble NY cheesecake. All fantastic.
Amy was working the bar and was completely on point with her recommendations and service.

«Ambitiously Average». All the right buzzwords on the menu — demi glacé, truffle oil, yada yada. Interior is too dark to read the menu — three tables all had their cell phones out to see the menu. Service was a bit slow. Acoustic music would have been great if I was wanting to take a nap. How about some filler music between sets? And why all the interior walls? Open up the floor plan — people watching is part of the experience. Salmon entrée, scallop special and beef tenderloin were all overspiced and the dishes were a complicated heap. Wine selection was below average. Not a bad place if you’re looking to go out local with a few couples and don’t want the hassle of a long wait at Avalon. But not a place you’d want to go to regularly.

My wife and I have been here at least a handful of times and have never had anything but a great experience.
I find it to be a more intimate or romantic venue to bring my wife. In fact, usually a guy quietly playing guitar for a little ambiance in the background.
We like to start out with flatbread… chorizo or caprese. Both good. I’ve ordered a few different entrees, but my favorite is the shrimp and grits. My wife always orders a fish entrée of some sort and has always enjoyed them.
Service is always attentive.
We really like it here and will continue to go back.

Luckily we were in the area and remembered Bite. What a wonder meal. This is our second visit. We don’t live close at all.
The vibe insider has totally changed to a trendy-​ish bar but come here for the food. I remembered how great the hummus and pimento cheese were and we were rewarded again. We also tried the pork belly, it was fantastic. The Brussels sprouts that come with this dish were «slap yo mamma» good!
We brought our own bottle again and there was a $ 15 corkage fee. Well worth it if u ask me.
I ordered the tenderloin and with had the short rib pasta. My steak was good no complaints other than it was slightly undercooked. The complexity and layers of flavor in my wife’s pasta let me know that I lost the ordering battle. She chose the best thing we had.
Highly recommend the pork belly and short rib pasta while bringing your own bottle of wine. Perfect night out.

This was on my bookmark list and finally got the chance to try it out for lunch.
Loooved the interior design and the ambience of the place was great. The waiter was friendly and very helpful. The food was okay, nothing too special. The lobster roll was pretty small for its expensive price. Bf had the steak sandwich and that was gooood. The truffle fries did not taste like truffle fries at all. It was more like regular fries with truffle seasoning sprinkled on one side.

Really great! Lobster roll is fantastic, as is the tuna sandwich. Definitely will be back.

Finally got around to trying this place for lunch after reading years’ worth of rave reviews. It was good but had a few drawbacks, namely the service. Specifically, our waitress kept teasing my husband about the amount of tea he was drinking. One comment would have sufficed and maybe have been funny, but by the end of the meal it was becoming awkward and annoying. The man is thirsty! Leave him alone!
The food itself was delicious. We both ordered the Salmon BLT, and I’d totally order it again without even looking at the rest of the menu. Yep. That delicious. The sides are a little paltry in size for what you pay (roughly $ 4 in addition to whatever your entrée cost). We finished our meal by sharing a sizable slice of Million Dollar cake from the Alpine Bakery. Can’t go wrong with that. Apparently Bite imports desserts from the bakery and from a little Italian woman who lives down the road.
Overall good enough to return, but with our fingers crossed for a different server.

Just finished the carb cake appetizer, special salmon bisque soups and beef tenderloin for the entrée. really great flavors and presentation. Definitely would be back again

I loved this little gem. The décor was stunning and very inviting. I want to go back and hang out inside sometime but I sat on the nice little patio the day I went. I had a hard time choosing a meal because everything sounded amazing. I ended up ordering the Salmon BLT and it did not disappoint. It was a picture of perfection on a plate. The bread alone was amazing. The sandwich as a whole was very satisfying and delicious. Even the service here was good. I will be returning here for sure.

Drinks are super pricey. Sangria for $ 11 with minimal wine. Sort of a fruity punch taste. Dewars was $ 9 wow really jacked up prices on drinks.
We keep coming here for the food. Had fish tacos for lunch they were good. Always have the pork belly appetizer when we come here they’re just heavenly and we love them. Had the pork chop– ok tasting sort of bland, short rib torchetti-​it was good liked the pasta but I thought it was a little over salted but that’s just me, Had the chicken and risotto here and it’s OK. The fish dishes are good. We have the truffle fries here and you can hardly taste the truffles so we were impressed. Bistro tenderloin was good too especially the gravy/​sauce yum. Hogs toes-​ok. Soup of the day lobster bisque-​ok, key lime pie-​good, million dollar cake was good but then anything with chocolate is good.
Server is slow and the girl server who attended us didn’t know anything she really didn’t know much about the dishes and really didn’t know anything about the wines at all. She was either really new or not well trained. Despite this we’ve been back and didn’t see that girl after.
We would recommend this place and we will be back.

The only thing wrong with this restaurant is the challenge you’ll face trying to decide what to try. I could literally start at the top of the menu and work my way down! Everything we did eat way fantastic. The desserts were a bit disappointing, especially for the price and compared to everything else we ate (but they’re brought in anyway).
Service was terrific. Can’t wait to go back and continue working my way through the rest of the menu!

Great evening, even with a small hiccup. The food was good and I really enjoyed the menu — there were a few more things I wish I could have tried, guess I’ll have to come back soon.
The hiccup was our server pretty much forgot about us after we were seated. She was working the bar too and just got caught up in that and we sat in the corner with no contact for what seemed like forever, probably made worse because we were all really hungry.
But when she remembered us, she apologized and gave us a free fig/​prosciutto flat bread which ended up being awesome. Def worth the wait, so all was well.
We also tried the Hog Toes which were good, but I’ll probably try another starter next time just to try something new. They weren’t good enough for me to commit.
Then for my main course I ordered the lobster rolls with jalapeño slaw and truffle fries. I thought it was a solid meal for sure. The bread was maybe just a little too crusty for me, but the lobster was great, the slaw had a nice flavor, and the fries were above average.
Dessert was on point too, we ordered the Million Dollar Cake and it was awesome. Great end to a great meal.

Bite’s been featured on Atlanta Eats before, so I was curious what this local eatery had to offer. In fact, I specifically came here for the double burger because someone told me that it was like Bite’s version of In-n-Out’s double double. Here’s what I ate here:
Loaded Baked Potato Soup: This was the soup of the day. The texture wasn’t as creamy like most «baked potato» soups I’ve had before, but it’s definitely made with real potatoes as you can still taste the starchy texture. It’s kind of like a potato dip. Not bad.
Calamari: Served with a tarragon aioli, this was definitely kind of a more unique take on the usual calamari other restaurants serve. The aioli is creamy, the pieces of calamari are very generous and the caper berries were an interesting addition. After one bite of a caper berry, I realized it’s probably more for looks. They’re REALLY salty, but it’s just the berry. Stick to just eating the calamari.
Double Burger: This was a big burger and it definitely satisfied. I think the housemade Krussian sauce really makes this different. However, I couldn’t really taste much of that «natural» beef flavor in the burger. It’s got a lot of great toppings besides the Krussian sauce, like tomatoes, lettuce, cheese, and I can’t remember what else but those toppings seemed to hide the burger. Truffle fries were delicious and served with the Krussian sauce for dipping.
Lemon Semi-​Freddo: This was one of their housemade desserts. I recognized their cakes from Alpine Bakery. The semi-​freddo was very «Cool Whip» like but I could taste bits of lemon zest in it which made it really refreshing. I would definitely get this dessert again.
Overall, I like Bite’s take on their other dishes, but probably would get something else besides the burger. I’d be curious to try their lunch. Service was fantastic. I think Bite’s a decent date night place local to Alpharetta since it’s kind of dark inside, but also with the option to sit outside. I don’t think I would make the trip again specifically to eat at Bite, but if I were in the area, it’s a great option.

Thanks to friends reviews and Atlanta Eats, I had heard great things about Bite. So when a friend wanted to take me to dinner for a quite belated birthday celebration, I pulled this suggestion from my Unilocal bookmarks. And we weren’t disappointed. Oddly, the place seemed somewhat deserted, but it is in an odd spot and it was a weeknight, but the service was slower than I would have liked considering how not busy they were.
We started with cocktails — I opted for the Hemingway, rum-​based cocktail, which was quite delicious but lacking some umph. My friend decided on the Cucumber Mojito — so refreshing and delightful — perfect for a summer evening on the patio. So much so, she had a second one. That was the winner between the two cocktails for sure.
For food, I chose the Butternut squash soup with pesto (no nuts in the pesto) and the Short rib pappardelle. Shannon chose the Fig & prosciutto flatbread and the Lobster rolls. I tasted her flatbread, but not the lobster (being allergic). I loved the flatbread, even though I am not a big fan of figs. The sweet with the salty and a nice crunch from the flatbread — perfectly balanced with salt and pepper. It was a great starter and I would recommend for anyone. Shannon was a bit disappointed in her lobster as the rolls were way over toasted — or maybe just older and dried out. By the time she got to the second roll, she mostly just ate the filling.
For my soup, it was creamy and rich. I feel the soup didn’t really have any cream in it — the squash was the richness, but I could be wrong. It was quite velvety and delicious. I would definitely order this again. As for the pappardelle — this dish was a home run. Of course, if something says short rib on the menu, odds are, I will order it. Huge pieces of rich, falling apart short rib meat, fat pappardelle noodles, cippolini onions, carrots, all sorts of goodness. But this was so much food! I ended up taking half of it home and eating it for lunch the next day. But damn, what a fine lunch it was. I would come back just for this dish.
As full as I was, Shannon insisted that I get dessert. It was to celebrate my birthday (which was in February), so she ordered the Million dollar cake for me — holy geez. Layer upon layer of sheer madness. Cake, cheesecake, cake ganache, frosting, whipped cream and it goes on — seemingly forever. I had maybe 4 bites before I thought I would explode — both from my stomach being to capacity and the sheer richness of this cake. All that chocolate, not even the cheesecake layer could give my palate a break! But delicious nonetheless.
So overall, it was a great experience. Our server seemed new, she was nice, but overly chatty. She was a fan of every item on the menu, with no edit button. Pick a couple of favorites to recommend and move on — not everything is perfection. Otherwise, service was good, just on the slow side.
I would still go back and enjoy that meal again — just probably not recommend the lobster rolls without asking when they received a bun delivery.

What a fantastic local gem! For «classic American» fare, it doesn’t get much better than this.

We got here just after opening on a Saturday morning and had the place to ourselves for a while. It’s a cozy little restaurant with window seating, bar seating (with a tv) or free standing tables.

Service was outstanding. Even as other customers began to come in, our server Chris continued to dote on us. He provided us with recommendations when asked and quietly cleared the table when my daughter and I were deep in conversation.
Food

The main event at this place is the food. Everything — and I mean everything — is homemade. The pork is smoked there. The fries handmade there. Even the coleslaw and ketchup is made there! By our measure the only thing NOT made there were the desserts — and they’re trucked in from the Alpine bakery — which is a very good thing. (See my review of the Alpine bakery if you are unconvinced). Flavors are intense and wonderful.
Price

For all that homemade goodness you might expect to pay an arm and a leg. Prices were very reasonable for what we got. Food was delicious for my daughter and I, but the lunch tab for the 2 of us was just over $ 30 — and we had leftovers to take home.
Summary

All in all, a new «go to» place in the Alpharetta area. Well priced and flavorful classic American fare.

We came here for lunch to celebrate a friend’s birthday. They didn’t take reservations because we were a party of 5 and they take reservations for a party of 8. The lady assured there will be enough seating for us, and there was. I didn’t catch our waiter’s name, he had strawberry blond hair and I think he had a beard. He was not friendly at all!!! He did everything we asked him, but he was not in the mood and did not want to be bothered. That’s why I took
A star off. The food is farm fresh, so it is great! The Devore is super cute. Once you are inside, you forget that the restaurant is in a suburban strip mall because of the modern décor. I would go again, hopefully the waiter will be in a better mood then.

I found Bite on a cold/​chilly night a few weeks ago. My friends and I wanted to try a new restaurant in Atlanta, but the wait was at least 2 hours… so we wander around and Unilocal recommended Bite to us. (Thank you, Unilocal). Upon arrival, we were told that the wait would be at least 15 to 20 minutes to dine inside. Screw that, we decided to dine outside. Oh boy, it was extremely cold. The waiter noticed that we were shaking so he came over with a giant heater and placed it right next to our table. One of my friend didn’t bring his jacket, so he was offered a bucket of blankets. I thought the waiter was joking when he asked if we wanted blankets. No, he was pretty serious. He showed up with a bucket of blankets. Bite customer service is outstanding.
Lobster Roll ($ 18): Chunky lobster with tarragon, celery, parsley, lemon, pickled onion, chives and a lime aioli piles on top of a Holeman & Finch roll. I’ve only tried the lobster roll once so I’m having mixed feelings. The lobster was fantastic, however the roll itself was very hard and tough to eat. Maybe I came in on a bad night. I will definitely try the lobster roll one more time.
The Double Burger ($ 12): House ground short rib & brisket with krussian sauce, bacon, caramelized onio, pickles, american cheese, lettuce, tomato, holeman & finch bun. This dish also comes with fries. The Double Burger is huge, but it’s just so good not to try. The meat was good, and the special sauce made the burger top notch.
Tomato Bisque Soup: the soup was very delicious. It had a nice creamy texture to it, and the flavor was just right. It wasn’t too salty or too sweet.
Truffle fries: hand cut fries with krussian fry sauce. I love their fries, it’s very crunchy and the sauce is to die for.
Overall, Bite is worth a try if you’re in the area. The food is good, and the service is even better. It’s a tad bit pricey, so bring enough $$. I’m not so sure about the Lobster Roll, I definitely have to try it again. Other than that, everything is pretty good.

I don’t normally go OTP, but when I do, I’d go to Bite again.
My boyfriend and I were going to visit our friends who live in Alpharetta and when they suggested we go out to dinner and mentioned Bite, we agreed. We arrived at Bite on a Saturday night around 7:30, and since the little restaurant doesn’t take reservations, we had about a 20 minute wait for a table. No problem.
We got a great bottle of red wine at the bar to share and sat down next to the live musician (who thankfully didn’t play too loudly for the space all night) until our table was ready.
Bite is a little restaurant in a strip mall off of Webb Bridge Rd, you wouldn’t notice unless you were looking for it. Inside the restaurant it’s smaller, but very inviting and it makes good use of the space. The bar takes up the back corner when you enter with some tall tables for seating there and the main dining area is filled with tables for dining. A waiting area is almost non-​existent (especially since the live music had set up his stuff there), but it was okay for the four of us.
Once we sat down, we were blown away by the menu offerings and how good they all sounded. For appetizers we ended up ordering calamari and pork belly. Both were fantastic — the calamari I really liked and the pork belly was good, but the serving was a little small for all of us.
No big matter though because we all ordered entrees. My boyfriend and one friend ordered the chimichurri bistro tenderloin, I got the chicken torchetti pasta and our other friend got the smoked chicken shrimp and grits.
I was a little surprised when everything came out how big the portion sizes were, but somehow we managed to polish most everything off without a problem. The chicken torchetti was very good — almost too rich for me to finish, but really tasty pasta with lots of chicken, spinach, tomatoes, etc. I also had a bite of my boyfriend’s steak and potatoes and it was really tasty too.
For dessert, the four of us split a millionaire cake slice and key lime pie slice. Om nom nom is all that needs to be said for them both!
Our service throughout the evening was good and I really enjoyed Bite overall, I’d be happy to return in the future when we next venture OTP.

In Norcross for a work trip and I had the afternoon free before my flight to meet a friend for lunch. She’s from Marietta so had never been to here either– but our fellow Unilocalers led us here so we were excited to see for ourselves!
We both had some trouble getting there, the address when plugged in the gps leads to a location few blocks away. When I mentioned it upon arrival the waiter was great, advising that they’re actively trying to fix it.
I arrived a bit before my friend and loved the décor and overall vibe when I walked in, it was early so not many other tables but there was plenty of of happy workers ready to greet us. Our waiter, as I mentioned, was awesome– really friendly and engaged us in conversation.
The menu looked fantastic and he was happy to provide recommendations as well. I settled on the lobster roll, living in phoenix I don’t often get to have seafood and I was extremely happy I did that day. What an amazing dish– I loved it. A toasted buttery bun overflowing with tons of succulent lobster and… I’m making myself hungry just thinking about it!
The manager came by after talking to our waiter and hearing it was our first time, he wanted to make sure we loved our experience. I was really impressed with everything here. If I’m in town again you know where I’ll be!
