Business Owner

Mike Started out over 18 years ago in the Transmission industry after serving in the army during the first Gulf War. Starting as a technician in the shop and the progressing to managing and finally moving to corperate Aamco as the Southeast regional Operations Manger, Mike has seen all aspects of the business and strive for great customer service and a great name in the community.

Mike has four sons and has been heavily involved in youth and Middle school sports and continues to coach 8th grade football. Mikes Background and knowledge of this industry and in customer service make him a strong business owner and community figure.

I just had my Civic’s transmission, and lets just say this was $ 2500 very poorly spent. First off, that’s a ridiculously high price for a trans rebuild (I even used a $ 100 off coupon). Second, it wasn’t worth that AT ALL. The transmission still shifts very poorly, sometimes jerking me when it finally catches. Another big issue, the tech left my subframe bolts so loose, that when I went to my regular mechanic, they said I was lucky that my car didn’t get destroyed driving it how they left it. They tried to remedy their subframe mistake by offering me a free oil change, but after that, I wouldn’t trust them with my car. Also, they didn’t give me my lug key back, so I drove to them with a flat tire to get it back. They also try to upsell absolutely anything you can think of, and even if you tell them the first time you don’t want anything extra done, they will continue to call you and suggest everything under the sun. I have my own mechanic for that. I honestly could have rebuilt this transmission better, by myself. I will not be recommending this shop to anyone. Would love to get some of my money back, but I know that’ll never happen. Went broke for subpar work.

This was really my first experience to any AAMCO and I wasn’t really expecting the awesome service I received. Being called «Dear» was the first of many pleasant interactions I had with the front gal (so sorry I forgot your name!). It also reminded me that I was now in the south, as I just moved from Utah and they aren’t as nice there. Had all four rotors replaced and an oil change after the LONG cross country drive. As far as shops go… I recommend this one and will most definitely be returning!

My experience with AAMCO was first rate all the way. The staff was extremely helpful. Suzanne is truly an asset to the crew and company. If she doesn’t get a raise shame on them. My biggest COMPLIMENT has to be the fact that they did not screw me over. I’m sure everyone at some point has been taken to the ringer by some mechanic in the past. The repairs to my vehicle could have been costly. However, the staff found a very quick and cost effective way to handle my situation. For that I am truly thankful. For this treatment they have added a customer for life out of me. If you have not gone by there you should. Hope this review was helpful.
