FroyoWorld is my favorite froyo in the Boston area; I’d choose it over Pinkberry, Red Mango, Orange Leaf, and BerryLine any day (BerryLine would be my second choice though).
I compare froyo places to one another based largely on the taste of their original flavors. I don’t care how many toppings there are because no amount of toppings can compensate for unsatisfying frozen yogurt. Mochi topping is a plus for me though, and FroyoWorld has your standard mochi, in addition to a gratuitous amount fruit, chocolate, nutty, saucy, and other toppings… so we goood. (If you love mochi though, BerryLine has incredible homemade mochi that you NEED to try.)
My ideal original froyo flavor is based off the taste of a drinkable yogurt I’ve only ever had in China. And I’m definitely not referring to Asian yogurt drinks like yakult/​calpico/​yaku that are prevalent in the Asian markets around here. The yogurt I’m longing for, whose flavor made a vivid impression on my taste buds over a decade ago, is tart; it’s so very tart, but also delightfully sweet. This is so very fitting, since «yogurt» in Mandarin literally translates to «tart milk.» The product most reminiscent of this tartly sweet memory I’ve been able to find here is plain Lifeway kefir, sweetened to taste. For me, yogurt is meant to be tart like the Greek varieties, so froyo is, likewise, best served tart. I’m not so crazy about the other flavors, but their ORIGINAL and LYCHEE flavors are where it’s at.

Love this place. Consistent. Amazing flavors. Froyo quality is a 10. Toppings bar is always fresh, clean, and tasty. Great service and great froyo. Easy street parking too and great seating for a date or friends (or just a big booth for your lonely eating froyo self like myself)

This place was good. The ambiance is very nice. They got a large table for large groups of 6 – 8 to sit at and small tables for a couple people to sit. The music was punk rock so it doesn’t fit the mood that a typical froyo place. I love froyo so I decided to get something. I got the lychee froyo and it was pretty good. It wasn’t too sweet or anything but it definitely wasn’t bland as well.
As usual I get the same toppings, all the popping boba colors cuz I wanna taste the rainbow know what I mean? But the liquid the kiwi flavored one had was very thick compared to the other flavors. And I got the mochi as well, this place only had the white one. I also got some fruit which I don’t recommend because it’s like canned fruit, basically like all the other places but it was still good.
The reason why it merited the 4 stars was because the froyo itself wasn’t exactly the right consistency. It was already a little bit melted and liquidy right after it landed into the cup from the machine. I eat pretty fast but I ended up having to slurp most of my froyo.

Haven’t been to a frozen yogurt place in a loooonnnng time. The hype kind of settled over the years but a random night in Allston got me craving! Mixx was closed so my friends and I opted to try this place out. Can I just say, best original flavor! Unlike Mixx, Red Mango, Yocha and Pinkberry, the original was so smooth and creamy. Definitely check this place out if you haven’t. Worth!

Great froyo place in Allston. I’m a froyo fanatic and this place definitely is on par. Doesn’t have that sugary left over feeling in your mouth and just refreshing. Of course it has all the basics of a great froyo place with multiple different flavors and toppings. Also has nice added details that lots of places overlook. Has purified water bc we all know we get thirsty after having some froyo! (and other places charge you for water) also has cup dividers when you don’t to mix flavors or share. All together a great place !

Great flavors! And very friendly and helpful staff — a huge and pleasant improvement after being abused at Mixx around the block.

I have been to a lot of froyo places, and most of them are the same. This one of course isn’t very different either. I give it five starts because I love froyo. But this place seemed to have more toppings than most. They have a lot more sauces for sure, and I’m pretty sure I got diabetes (worth it). They also have mini cakes as toppings. Real cool place. Definitely go here.

Really cool frozen yogurt self serve ace. There are at least 10 different flavors to choose from and a wall of toppings!!! Favorite flavor is the taro milk tea plus banana strawberry one, so good with blueberries and chocolate espresso balls!!!

Great selection of flavors! Haven’t tried non-​dairy or sorbet, so can’t comment on that, but all other flavors are really good!
Taro is my personal favorite, along with chocolate and graham cracker!

I don’t understand this place. The décor on the inside does not match the club beats coming from the outside. That aside, this place is really the best froyo place around Allston. There are more flavors than I’ve ever seen in froyo place, I think over 16. They have an extraordinary amount of toppings, from all your savory/​salty fixins to boba and lychee. There is an insane amount of combinations you can try here. Something I love about this place is the staff. They are always so friendly and personable! I’ve come here right before close before, and that has never seemed to bother them. If you frequent this place, I’d recommend getting a rewards card. Each time you go, 10% of your total gets put back on the card, which you can choose to use or add up. It’s a small thing, but I appreciate it!
As far as froyo by weight goes, I’ve never been shocked at the price at the end either. I got two loaded froyos the other night for around $ 10. For what you get, compared to other ice cream joints in Boston, there’s really no complaints about this pricing.

I recently discovered this leave on Unilocal while looking for a new place to try. This place is a decent destination but the be prepared to struggle a little with parking. It is in the heart of Brighton and you pretty much have to be lucky to find somewhere to park. As for the yogurt itself, they had many different selections, some which I haven’t seen before, and they we really good. However, once I got to the toppings that’d where it went a little down hill. For a location centered in the heart of Brighton, one would think that they would have a high turnover of their toppings but it tasted like they might let their stuff sit a little too long. All in all, if you can get over the parking situation and and your candy toppings for sitting out more than a day, then you will certainly enjoy this place. I would recommend.

I recently purchased a groupon for this place as I decided to venture out of my usual go-​tos for frozen yogurt and try a new vendor.
The yogurt flavors here are absolutely delicious! They have 16 flavors and rotate over 100 different ones making for a great variety. I had the Taro, Birthday Cake, and Coffee. All three of them were creamy and delightful. Also, all the flavors are only about 35 calories per ounce with some even less.
They have an abundant array of toppings with everything from Lychee to Brownie bites. Literally, anything you can think of they have. I also noticed they have 5 different flavors of Boba which is awesome! I love that they have cheesecake bites.
My only complaint is the price with my yogurt coming out at $ 9.50, but I guess frozen yogurt prices everywhere have gone up and it is definitely safer for me to stick to the non do it yourself froyo places as I tend to go overboard!

A great self-​serve froyo place with lots of options for toppings and flavors. You pay for whatever you take, and the froyo is very flavorful and the toppings are all very fresh!
Plus there’s a rewards card where you get 10% of your purchase put onto the card each time you go!

My son’s favorite yogurt place. To me, they’re all the same so I can’t say much. I’ve gone here three times with him and all three times were great. My only complaint is that the marshmallows were super stale.

I come here fairly regularly for my fro-​yo fix. They have a lot more flavor options than the other places in the area and the location is great. Once in a while their fro-​yo is icy tasting but not all the time. Last time I went they had a lot more flavors of popping boba, like 6 different ones. Yum. Staff here usually ask if you want samples and are nice.
What’s awesome about this place is their rewards program. Each time I go I get a a little bit shaved off my total price which I had earned from my previous purchase, it’s a never ending cycle of discounts, there’s no reason not to use it. You can also save your rewards until you have enough to pay for your whole purchase (depending on how much you get).

Clean and bright inside w/​plenty of seating. Plenty of choices for froyo and toppings (fresh fruits, mochi, etc). The workers also greet you when you come in. Pay by weight for your froyo and toppings. Will return.

kids llllooooovvvvveeeee froyo. Moms llllloooovvveeee froyo. How can you go wrong here. I had a coffee froyo with Oreo cookies crushed all over the top and it was the best.
get a quart to take to a party or to have later (after the kids have gone to bed so you don’t have to share!!! :-).
They have yummy coffee to drink as well.
My son got some kind of birthday cake flavor that he keeps wanting again and I tasted and it was good.

Delicious froyo! Perfect location for those who are dining in the Allston area to get some refreshing dessert afterwards. Froyo World is located right on Harvard Ave, minutes away from tons of other restaurants.
The people working there were very friendly and offered us samples of any flavors we wanted to try. There are at least 10 different flavors to choose from, and I believe they switch them up every couple of weeks. I ended up getting the strawberry lemonade sorbet and lychee froyo with mostly fruit toppings, and it was amazing! The strawberry lemonade sorbet was particually unique, since I haven’t had that at other froyo shops. The flavors are good, and the yogurt has the perfect consistency. The toppings are all very fresh, which is especially important when you’re a fruit lover like I am.
I had a rewards card from the first time I came here months ago, and I had 57 cents off my froyo. Definitely get their free rewards card because 10% of your purchase is saved for future froyo purchases (ex: buy $ 5.70 froyo, you earn 57 cents that you can use next time).
Will definitely be here more often in the hot summer months!

This may have surpassed Mixx as my favorite froyo in the Allston area. Walked into FroyoWorld on a bitterly cold February night when anything cold should’ve been the last thing on our mind.
The gentleman who assisted us was incredibly friendly and helpful and didn’t bawk when we each tried 3 flavors. Red Velvet, Green Tea, Vanilla, Peanut Butter Chocolate, and whoa. hold on… Birthday Cake flavor?! Count me in! Only problem is that I also wanted the Dutch Chocolate, but not touching.
Zing! No problem at all! FroyoWorld has a separator for your cup. I had birthday cake with fresh fruit (great selection including lychee) and my chocolate with Nutella and granola. Yum!
Price was on par with most froyo joints. Drop in and check it out! Also, they will give you coloring pages of their mascot (this sealed the 4 stars for me, I know it will for you, too).

16 flavors to choose from-​one of the flavors including nutella! Tasted more like mocha though. Staff is very attentive, coming up to ask if there are any flavors that wanted to be sampled.
The froyo does melt significantly fast though… had a friend fill their cup to the rim with froyo and end up with a brown puddle with the concoction of flavors all mixed up. Eck!~
Very impressed with the electronic screens featuring the flavors. The toppings are pretty much the same as mixx with fruits, snacks, and bursting bobas, but how they set themselves apart is the organization of the snack toppings. It’s pretty much like the candy sections in confectionery stores where you shovel out your candies from a clear box. I love the ‘shovel’ – that way I can shovel out my mochis more easily! =D
A little pricey for froyo… came out close to $ 6. Convenient handsanitizers at your disposal, very clean, and spacious. I think my loyalties still lie with mixx though.
