Located in Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania we have your cotton booty covered. We offer our customers a unique and growing selection of cloth diapers, cloth diaper covers, cloth diaper accessories, potty training and natural care products from trusted brands including Softbums, Applecheeks, Blueberry, bumGenius, Imse Vimse, SLOOMB and many others.

If fluff is not your thing, we offer various products that bring the connection between you are your baby closer together. Many of our products assist with breastfeeding, babywearing, potty learning /​potty training and attachment parenting.

History

Established in 2010.

June of 2010, Sara Moore felt the obligation to other mothers to provide a resource for cloth diapering. She knew that cloth diapering was gaining interest, but that online research was overwhelming and turned many famlies away from using cloth. There needed to be a place for families to come talk, touch and learn about cloth diapers. From that Ju-​Ju Monkey was born.

Wanting to offer her customers quality and expert care, Sara joined the Real Diaper Association and Real Diaper Industry Association. As of May 10, 2013, Sara is serving a three year term on the Board of Directors for the Real Diaper Association and is supporting their mission to get more babies in cloth.

Since cloth diapering lends itself to many other natural parenting ways, Sara Moore has expanded her knowledge into Babywearing and is a babywearing educator certified by the Center for Babywearing Studies.

Business Owner

Sara is a Certified Babywearing Educator, as well as a Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST), and the founder & CEO of Ju-​Ju Monkey. She recently joined the Board of Directors for the Real Diaper Association and the Real Diaper Industry Association. Sara and her family live in the Lehigh Valley and they love to spend time outdoors. Her husband is a cycling aficionado, and even rode his bicycle around the world on a year long adventure prior to their wedding.

Not a mama, but the proud godmomma and honorary auntie of quite a few wee ones that I love to spoil. I used to always stop by Milk & Honey Kids for gifts (their focus was definitely more on toys & clothes, of course), but now that they are closed, I was searching for another local boutique to buy presents from. My nephew will be joining the family in June (hurrah!), so I was searching for a few things for him for Christmas (yes, I know he is still in utero, but Auntie Candi is pumped!) and stumbled upon Ju-​Ju Monkey when taking suggestions from friends. This place is ADORABLE and oh so friendly. I was of course not a big ticket buyer (and probably won’t be unless a baby K shows up on the horizon) but they still made me feel welcome & at home. They have a nice selection of organic/​natural toys and puppets in addition to their giant collection of cloth diapers and carriers (the most I’ve seen anywhere). A woman was buying a sling while I was there, and they did an excellent job (from what I could overhear) helping her find the right one and even showing her how to load her little one into it safely. They also have a frequent shoppers club, of sorts, that you can sign up for when you check out.

My family and I love this store. We take classes here weekly and shop regularly. The staff is friendly, and everyone is happy to help, whatever the question. The store is also a safe, welcoming, judgement free zone for parents.

Ju-​ju monkey is a special shop. Yes, they have everything necessary for cloth diapering. But they also have a great unique toy selection, fun classes for babies and toddlers, and loads of knowledge. The common sense, non judgemental attitude of the staff sets them apart from any chain store. This is the place to get Baltic Amber and teething necklaces. The selection is vast!

When I walked in, I immediately thought what a lovely boutique shop! My younger sister was delighted to play with the little boy of the saleswoman. Then as my boyfriend & I were browsing the amber necklaces, the saleswoman gave us both the impression she thought we were going to steal something, constantly coming over, staring at us. So weird. =(after picking out a few things, only spending around $ 25, as I checked out, I asked about the samples sitting to my right. The sales lady, pretentiously saying ‘those are only for large purchases’ after I asked for one. If your samples are so precious, keep them behind the counter. She’s lucky I even spent my hard earned money at that store, when there’s plenty others I could shop at. She didn’t put our purchase in a bag, must be because of such a smallll purchase. How insulting. I like their items, but wouldn’t go again because of her negative, ‘I think I’m better that thou’ attitude. I walked out disappointed & won’t be returning.

We stopped at Ju ju Monkey for some beach necessities before making the trip to the shore. I am SO glad we brought the beachfront baby water sling! I was worried about getting my other carriers wet and not having them dry for our evening trips to the boardwalk. This carrier is gorgeous (I love the matching colored sling rings) and very comfortable. We also picked up some Epicencial Sunny Sunscreen, which has been breakout-​free for my 1 year old’s sensitive skin, and received a FREE pack of sunscreen bands (they let you know when to reapply sunscreen, so awesome for our first beach trip and having one less worry on our minds). Thanks to Ju Ju Monkey for making a week-​long beach trip with two toddlers easier!

This gem of a baby boutique satisfies so many new parent needs. It is a welcoming judgement free zone owned by a woman in it for no other reason than to help couples with the steep learning curve of parenting. The store provides guidance and understanding as you feel your way through your personal parenting style. Even though the store showcases cloth diapering, the owner, Sara, is never pushy or judgmental about what method is best for each family.
Impressively, prices are very competitive and often comparable or lower than huge corporations like Amazon with the convenience and great satisfaction of being local.
I find myself returning again and again excited for the education that comes in each visit. The classes are very helpful and the play dates offer valuable opportunities to meet and socialize with other local families.
I highly recommend Ju-​Ju Monkey to all parents and recognize it’s immense value and uniqueness in the valley.

I love Ju-​Ju Monkey. The owner, Sara Moore, has been a huge support to families in our community. The shop is always open online, but now has a brick & mortar location with convenient hours, that you can RELY on. This business is a huge supporter of local parenting groups, and opens it’s doors for meetings and classes regularly. Sara is extremely helpful with cloth diapering and laundering, babywearing, natural products and she’s also a Child Passenger Safety Tech! She can help with it all! The shop has an open, warm and welcoming atmosphere. There’s even a comfy and secure area to relax and feed your child or let your child play while you shop and visit with Sara. I am there weekly for classes, to say hi, to shop, to breastfeed my daughter if the need arises… or even to change a diaper on the full-​size changing area in the bathroom (NOT a plastic pull-​down platform).

If you have a baby, know a baby, or simply appreciate a perfectly curated shop, you will love Ju-​Ju Monkey! Yes, the owner, Sara, is a cloth diaper genius (she’s literally a chemical engineer — she can solve any cloth diaper issue and is wonderful at making her tips simple and not full of technical jargon!)…but this store has so much more than cloth diapers!
The shelves are stocked with toys, practical items, and accessories for baby and mama — with an emphasis on eco-​friendly products! Sara greets everyone as they walk in and is ready and willing to consult with you and answer all of your questions. They have a wonderful variety of baby carriers and Sara is a certified babywearing instructor, so she will help you try on the carriers and figure out what fits you and your baby the best (and safest!). The store also serves as a resource for moms with all kinds of different classes offered, from baby sign language, to cloth diaper education, to music classes, to mommy & me yoga, and more! On top of all that, Sara is committed to contributing to the community — the store runs a cloth diaper donation drive to provide diapers for needy families and they also do a toy drive during the holidays. You’d be hard pressed to visit the store and not see at least one mama wearing her baby and extolling the virtues of the shop and its owner.
The Lehigh Valley is fortunate to have the outstanding resources of both this shop and its owner. If you know a mom, do yourself a favor and skip the big box stores — shop local at Ju-​Ju Monkey. If you are a mom, come visit to treat yourself to some fun goodies and meet some fellow moms!

This business is wonderful. The support that Sara provides is second to none. Being a first time Mom and new to the cloth diapering world, I was lost. Thank goodness for their newborn diaper rental, which was wonderful to try! I am now a full blown cloth diapering Mom. The other products are equally as wonderful, and I appreciate the hard work that is put into checking out each company before carrying their products. They are also green business certified, which is great!

This store just opened and I had the pleasure of stopping in this weekend and checking it out! If you are cloth diapering or planning to cloth diaper, this is the place to get everything you need and more. The owner was there and her knowledge and level of service/​answering questions were amazing. I will definitely be supporting this local business and you should too!
