Horrible experience. I’m usually terrified of dentists so I was hoping this office wouldn’t be a disappointment. Unfortunately it was. I repeatedly told the hygienist that I suffer from anxiety and she would just stop and then continue to clean, telling me that she«couldn’t do anything» if I kept moving. Very rude. I nearly had a panic attack when she started the cleaning. Then she told me that the laughing gas would make me feel better but it made it worse(although that was out of her control of course). They barely did any work and they sent me a huge bill in the mail for a whole workup because my insurance didn’t pay the rest. This place is just looking to get your money.

Horrible experience. They lied about accepting our insurance and then slapped us with a bill for hundreds of dollars after the services were performed, saying that the insurance wasn’t what they thought it was, even though they had the insurance cards in their hands! Fraudulently charged my credit card then sent the account to a bill collector when I disputed the charge. Will not return phone calls. Also does not stand behind their work when they put a cheap piece of metal in my child’s mouth, charged us $ 300 for it, and it broke almost immediately. Now we have to pay again to have it replaced. Definitely go elsewhere, they’re just out to get money out of you… oh and watch how often they try to bring you in for cleanings, they’ll do it every four months if you’re not careful!

Our family loves Dr. McKenna and his staff. Been going to him for almost 10 years. He’s friendly but low key, gets the job done. I’ve only had a few cavities for him to work on. I’m not a big fan of needles in my mouth, so he drills without local anesthetic. Never had a problem. As I said, staff is great too, Eva is my favorite hygienist. Gotten to know her personally and always look forward to catching up with her on my visits.

We searched for a good dentist for YEARS. We went to many dentists with fancy buildings and lots of flash, but no substance. We had so many problems that arose from their poor work. We were finally recommended to Dr. McKenna about 6 years ago and I can’t tell you what a relief it was to find him. He is a master at his trade. His office is small and clean. His hygenists are all so friendly, my favorite being Jenna. He always walks you through his thought process, and why he’s doing what he’s doing. We’ve since moved to Wyomissing, about an hour from his office, and we still make the trip to see him. He’s that good. We will most likely continue to see him no matter how far away we move. He’s worth the trip.

I’ve gone to Dr. McKenna’s office since I was five years old. I’ve since moved across the country, and I’ve never found anyone as good. His office is clean and efficient, and his techs are always wonderful people. Dr. McKenna, aside from being very knowledgeable, is a very calming, steady presence, even when you’re like me and have to have holes drilled into your jaw and this scares you quite a bit and ohmygod is that a needle and what on earth is that contraption? Ahem. Anyway, it’s a great place, and I highly recommend it. I miss you, Dr. McKenna!
