The Da Vinci Science Center is an independent nonprofit organization that has inspired enthusiasm for science’s ExSCIting Possibilities since 1992. Its experiences engage minds of all ages with the science and mathematics energizing eastern Pennsylvania and western New Jersey, develop the future’s scientific and technical workforce, and highlight science’s connections with the arts and other disciplines. The Da Vinci Science Center also promotes curiosity, creativity, and imagination — qualities realized by Leonardo da Vinci and the transformative innovators who have succeeded him.

History

Established in 1992.

Establishment: 1992 as part of Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pa.

Reincorporation as an independent nonprofit organization: 1999

Merger with Leonardo da Vinci’s Horse, Inc.: 2003

Relocation to Allentown, Pa.: 2005
