With 10 years of skincare experience, Destiny Day Spa by Donyea exudes excellence and superior knowledge of the latest product ingredients and therapy treatments. Donyea’s credentials include being a Certified Medical Assistant, Licensed Aesthetician, Laser Hair Removal Technician and Skin Care Specialist. A combined tenure of 13 years has allowed her to to learn and grow her knowledge of the skincare industry. Having medical experience in dermatology as well as ob/​gyn has increases her knowledge of skin conditions as well as how hormones may create challenges in the skin. She specializes in the individuality of each client and their particular skin care need. Skin therapies are always client specific. Destiny Day Spa has been built on a foundation of honesty, integrity and results.

I’m her forever client! I stared with a groupon a few years back and now go every month. She’s become like family. I always enjoy going to see her to catch up and laugh, and of course receive the most amazing facial/​micro. My skin has dramatically improved and I just love the way it looks and feels! Oh what a feeling! I just had the facial, microdermabrasion, eyebrow wax spa treatment at Donyea’s. She really knows what she’s doing! Thorough, wonderful, and relaxing is the best way to describe my spa experience. You know your facial was great when you walk out of there looking like you have makeup on. I’m positively glowing. Would highly recommend!

Very rude. No customer service. I scheduled appt back on 2⁄20 for 5⁄2 because that is how long it takes to get a good weekend appointment if using a Groupon. She would not allow me to use my groupon because it expired 4⁄25. She told me I wasn’t following the rules and I would have to pay $ 120 for the same facial instead. Per Groupon website: Sometimes certain dates may not be available due to high demand after a deal is offered, but don’t worry! If a business is fully booked as the expiration date nears, your appointment can be for any available date — even after the promotional value expires — as long as you schedule your appointment before expiration.

I also bought mine from Living Social. Really bad experience and bad work ethics. Didn’t even get to use my coupon nor gotten a refund after I was finally able to get an appointment. It was worth taking the lost than having to get a facial from her.
I’m pretty sure if she reads this review, she will add her own comment. Take it as it is and don’t get too defensive. Perhaps you can learn on working with your work ethics and instruct your new clients of what to expect.

Worst facial ever, I tried to do facials at least once a year and I found a groupon for this place. I showed up on time and she sent me to the waiting area because she was on the phone. The places I’ve been too they give you a form to fill out or at least ask you what kind of products you are using or what type of skin you have, she didn’t.
She put the steam on my face for less than a 30 seconds, then she proceed it to apply creams after cream on my face and the she was done! Really!!! oh BTW she had bad breath Sheeshhh. Worst, worst experience ever!!! Not professional at all!

I just love Donyea, she is friendly and engaging, and most of all she does a great job! She’s very thorough, and all the products she uses smell just heavenly. The massage she gives is so relaxing, you will wish she would never stop. I’ve been going back to her for a while, and all I can tell you is if you haven’t had a facial by Donyea, you are missing out!

I also bought a Living Social deal with Donyea. Super duper great deal! OMG. $ 29 for a facial, microdermabrasion and eyebrow waxing. I figured for this great price, why not check it out?! Sometimes you feel like such a cheapskate when you use this «groupons» and such, but she didn’t blink an eye. What a great way to get new customers.
I thought the Salons at Watters Creek were very nice. Modern, clean and very professional. While the «salons» are just rented rooms, I’m fine with that. Actually it’s a great idea. Her room was very small, but had a nice water feature that was very soothing. Nothing crazy fancy, so don’t go if you want to have the whole «luxury spa» experience. Been there, done that, my gf can give me those spa days for gifts! When it’s MY dime, I want a good, affordable, relaxing and friendly experience. (Affordable being the operative word!)
Donyea was very friendly and cute as a button. Actually when I saw her walk in, I was like, «Oh that girl is funky cool and I bet a hairdresser»… but noooo… she was my girl! Yay! When I told her I had just gotten off work and would probably fall asleep, she got it and was friendly but not overly chatty… letting me just drift away and relax. I had never had microdermabrasion before, so she explained the process. Sounded kinda freaky! But after a semi painless eyebrow waxing, she started sucking all that dead skin off my face with the tiny vacuum… weird. but oddly nice! She was very thorough. Then she gave me a very relaxing facial and awesome warm moist peppermint towel wrap. A shoulder/​neck mini massage too. So nice but wish it was longer! LOL.
At the end she was nice enough to offer me the same deal again, and also let me know about a package deal. I think I am actually going to get a package with her. The next day my skin felt amazing and the texture seems so smooth. I can actually see a difference. Go check her out. It’s worth the drive to Allen. And that Watters Creek shopping center is adorable. Lots of cute shops!

I had the best experience with Donyea. From the minute you walk in, it’s like being at your favorite girlfriends house, doing treatments together! She makes you feel right at home with her friendly and outgoing personality. Her space has a very soothing and relaxing atmosphere. Donyea is completely accommodating. She went over my skin history, issues I’d been having and what I was expecting from her facial. Donyea was very professional, knowledgeable and thorough. I absolutely enjoyed my facial experience. I’m sorry that the previous reviewer had such a negative experience. Mine was the complete opposite. As a woman, I’d think she (the reviewer) would be a little more understanding and forgiving about Donyea’s pregnancy and the issues that go along with it. But to each their own!

I did have to wait for my Living Social voucher to be scheduled but Donyea was pregnant with twins & ended up hospitalized to try to get them to make it to term, These impatient folks who wrote bad reviews after not even getting a facial by Donyea have no soul. Too bad — they missed a great experience & yes, I am going back.

I had the same problem with this spa in regards to a groupon deal. They/​she, whoever «supposedly» runs this place, will not return my phone calls or text. I’ve tried to book my appointment over and over again. They said to text and they are not responding. Meanwhile, they have my money! Big MISTAKE. I’ve contacted groupon and my credit card company. I refuse to let them take my money and not provide service. Good luck with repeat customers. Allen is a small town and people talk. Bad reputation’s can kill a business. Thank goodness for Unilocal and other social media outlets to warn potential buyers.

Today I had my first appointment with Donyea. Best facial I have ever had! I have melasma and she had great advise on some treatment options. She took a lot of time and did the most thorough microdermabrasion I have ever had.
