We are a family owned funeral home serving the Allen Park, Dearborn and Taylor area for over 50 years. We are dedicated to providing compassionate responsible services and individualized personal aftercare counseling. It is this attention to detail that allows us to extend beyond the boundaries of the funeral service.

Our services include full service funerals, cremation, pre arrangement planning and aftercare services.

Our staff are also very experienced with arranging the services and benefits awarded to our area Veteran’s, and their families and acknowledge the sacrifices they’ve made. We take pride in assisting families with arranging the honorable and fitting tribute they so deserve.

History

Established in 1951.

In the spring of 1949 the Voran brothers began construction on the first of what would eventually grow to three funeral homes, serving the Detroit community. The Allen Park Chapel was completed in spring 1951, followed by Dearborn in 1960 and finally Taylor in 1966. With a dedication to their families and visitors, the Voran reputation began to grow through the community and Voran Funeral Home. quickly became known as an avid supporter of local schools, churches and organizations.

Today the funeral homes continue to be owned and operated by Fred and Barb Voran along with daughter Eleana and Fred Jr.

They strive to adhere to the principals and values which have made their business so successful through the years and with a dedicated and professional staff they look forward to helping and serving their community in their time of need.

Business Owner

Fred co-​founded Voran Funeral Home with his brothers in 1951. He was born and raised in Melvindale and has been a constant contributor to the community through many clubs and organizations including Allen Park Elks, The Moose Lodge and Knights of Columbus

(Fr. Saylor). Throughout the years Fred has been active in sponsoring many and varied organizations.
