Moscheck’s Meats & Produce

I love that they have Dearborn Sausage products and are only a few blocks from my house (not that Dearborn is far away). They have a large fresh meat selection, produce, lunchmeat & deli among other products. My husband is a fan of the fresh ready made perrogies. Everyone is very nice and helpful when I go there.

I have been shopping here over 35 years. They have high standards and carry quality products. The staff is very accommodating to your needs and always friendly. The quality and price certainly beats supermarkets and the taste is far superior. Another big plus is being able to buy what you want, not what is prepackaged.

I love this place. Best cut of filets ever! I have yet to see a restaurant or grocery store have better. Also great choice of lunch meat, love the low sodium Boars Head. Not much in the way of vegetables, enough though for a quick stop.

This is where I come for my Boar’s Head meat. The service is friendly and fast.

I have always known about Moscheck’s, but because the Allen Park Farm market was always right across the street I rarely found myself in there. When apfm closed up Moscheck’s was my closest option for fresh meats.
After 2 years of coming here I have become quite a big fan. Their produce section is small, but that is not why I come here. They have a nice selection chicken, cow, turkey, and pig. They may not have some of the less common meat products (lamb is a special order item), but for the standards the prices aren’t bad. If you buy in bulk you can get some real nice prices (I.E. NY strips are 5.99 lbs if you buy like 10 lbs.) The chicken breasts are priced well, and when I feel like making kafta they will grind it for me.
As for the rest of the store, you can manage to snag enough items to make a dinner. They have a small section of dairy, a nice little section of cheese, a whole cooler full of locally made pastas (Pierino, if you don’t know the history, this company started as a family from Italy making ravioli in their home kitchen in Melvindale). They also have various canned goods and such.
The prepared foods section is small, but there, and I can’t couch for it because I have never purchased anything from it. They also have a standard selection of deli meats (I am quite a fan of their house made roast beef).
Nothing to traval miles to see, but if you live in the area and need some meats, it is definately a staple to the community.
